Top cities for house sitting in United Kingdom

Are you going away but have a pet that prefers to stay in their own environment? Or perhaps you have a range of different animals and it’s not practical for you to organise for them to stay in different places? Then you might want to consider finding a Pawshake house sitter to come and stay at your Arthington home while you are away.

House sitting is a convenient and affordable option when you have multiple pets and also want your house to be securely looked after while you are away. Many of our pet sitters have very reasonable house sitting rates because they enjoy staying and exploring different local neighbourhoods like Arthington.

At Pawshake, we understand that trusting your home to a stranger can be a little daunting. So we’ve done all the hard work to ensure that your Pawshake house sitter is trustworthy and reliable. All our pet sitter profiles are checked individually by our dedicated trust and safety team and some house sitters also have their own police checks which they can share with you.

The best thing about engaging a Pawshake verified house sitter is that you can relax knowing that on top of being covered by The Pawshake Guarantee which includes veterinary coverage, so your pets are being cared for in a familiar environment and your Arthington home is also being looked after as well.

In addition to looking after your pets, most of our house sitters will happily help you by collecting your mail, taking out the bins, and watering your plants. Just make sure you discuss all your requirements with your chosen house sitter prior to booking.

Hi. My name is Jess and I am 23. (as of writing this) I have done one year of Animal Care. I'm currently studying Management of Animal Collections with Conservation at Askham Bryan in York for University. I have owned a dog and own a cat. Also walked friends' dogs many times.
I am willing to walk your pet, and take care of them at your house or just drop in for a visit. As someone who walks a lot I know multiple places all of varying lengths I can go to for walks with your pets to make sure they will be receiving the best enrichment possible. I love animals and would love a permanent job with them in the future, preferably the RSPCA. This is to help get experience and to understand the difference between each pet. Please feel free to contact me via text if you are in need of any more information.
My services are:
Dog walking between 1-4hrs:
I can take your dog on a walk in multiple places. All of varying lengths to fit the dogs needs. The places I will be going to will be Harewood House, Gledhow Forest, Roundhay Park and Thruscross Resovoir.
Pet visits for check- ins 1-2 times a day:
Here I will come in to your house and visit your pet. I will stay for about 30-45 mins and feed, play and give them attention.
So to avoid wasting time I live in Harehills and do not own a car. This means you must drop your pet off with me unless you are within a suitable distance to walk. If a car will be used I shall be getting a lift from my grandparents who have joined me in walking people's dogs in the past and continue to do so. They also owned multiple dogs in their lifetime so understand the behaviour well.

I am a vet student studying at the University of Liverpool. I love animals and have several years of experience with all different species as well as knowing animal first aid and am able to administer injections. I have had a dog for the past nine years which I trained from being a puppy. This has promoted a love and interest into the behavioural side of things and I am hoping to do my literature review on the science behind companionship and behaviour in certain domestic species. As well as training my own dog, I also helped my best friend, who struggled with her reactive rescue. I loved the challenge and was round four times a week after school to train her. It was definitely a learning experience but it really taught me a lot and I really bonded with her. I am definitely her still her favourite! I am comfortable with all animals, big and small, having just done a placement at an aquarium where I was feeding and helping administer medication to otters among other exotic species and before that working on a local cattery and kennels. I have had experience pet sitting from a young age as my dad was allergic to most animals so my only access to pets was to pet sit! This included my neighbour's cats, my friend's dogs and even my auntie's rabbit!
