Are you going away but have a pet that prefers to stay in their own environment? Or perhaps you have a range of different animals and it’s not practical for you to organise for them to stay in different places? Then you might want to consider finding a Pawshake house sitter to come and stay at your Balcombe home while you are away.

House sitting is a convenient and affordable option when you have multiple pets and also want your house to be securely looked after while you are away. Many of our pet sitters have very reasonable house sitting rates because they enjoy staying and exploring different local neighbourhoods like Balcombe.

At Pawshake, we understand that trusting your home to a stranger can be a little daunting. So we’ve done all the hard work to ensure that your Pawshake house sitter is trustworthy and reliable. All our pet sitter profiles are checked individually by our dedicated trust and safety team and some house sitters also have their own police checks which they can share with you.

The best thing about engaging a Pawshake verified house sitter is that you can relax knowing that on top of being covered by The Pawshake Guarantee which includes veterinary coverage, so your pets are being cared for in a familiar environment and your Balcombe home is also being looked after as well.

In addition to looking after your pets, most of our house sitters will happily help you by collecting your mail, taking out the bins, and watering your plants. Just make sure you discuss all your requirements with your chosen house sitter prior to booking.

Hello, my name is Debs and I have recently moved to Wivelsfield Green. I work in children services I have always had cats and I don't think my home would be complete without one.I am trusted to care for friends and neighbours cats when they go away and I love giving cuddles, food and treats and having a play, but of course this is always on their terms.I would also be happy to feed chickens, hamsters, rabbits, fish etc but not lizards or snakes To put your mind at ease I can send you updates and pictures while you are away.I am looking for occasional work near to where I live so that I can get to know people in the area and start to feel more at home in West-Sussex. I am available 7 days a week, booking from 7am to 8pm. Can work outside these hours but would charge a little extra.I am DBS (police checked) with no convictions and am fully trustworthy. I am happy to come and feed your pets whenever you need extra help. I'm also happy to turn lights on and off,put bins out, pull curtains and water your plants.I can stay for as long as your cat needs me, perhaps they like to play and be groomed and i'm happy to do this, I will be guided by them. An average time would be 20 minutes, but will stay up to 40 minutes if that's what your pet would like.Hopefully you will consider me the next time you are looking for someone to take care of your cat or other pets. . I am a part time teacher and live in Burgess Hill with my 24 year old daughter and our beautiful cat Pennie.

Hi! My name is Annette and I have loved and had pets for 40 years. I have now turned that passion into my my own business and would love to look after your fur babies, large and small! I do dog walking and pop in visits for any type of animal, whether its to feed, let out ,play or whatever they need!
I have experience from Hamsters to large dogs and everything in between. I am DBS checked, have insurance as well as a canine first aid certificate and a qualification in companion animal medical advice. I am a member of Narps, the national dog walking association.
Please feel free to contact me with any questions or queries. I am also available for a no obligation visit to meet your pets and to discuss their (and your) needs. Let your pet decide for you if I am right for them!

We cover Crawley, Copthorne and Horley. What started as a simple favour for friends and family quickly grew into something we genuinely love — caring for cats in the place they feel safest: their own home.Over the past two years we’ve looked after 50+ cats, from playful kittens to seniors aged 21. We’ve also supported cats with additional needs, including arthritis, asthma, feline dementia, and medication routines, always with patience and gentle care.Every cat has their own personality and routine, and we take the time to follow it closely so they feel calm, comfortable, and well cared for while you’re away. Our care includes:• Feeding on schedule.• Litter tray cleaning.• Medication (including oral meds and inhalers).• Extra care for senior cats.• Playtime, brushing and companionship.• Monitoring trackers.• Managing in/outdoor time. Thanks to our flexible work, we’re home regularly and able to prioritise your pet’s routine.Morning and evening visits available. We’re also happy to help with small household tasks such as watering plants, bringing in mail, refreshing water filters.Reliable, attentive care for your cat — and peace of mind for you while you’re away.

Hello, my name is Esther, I live in Sussex, England and absolutely love dogs and all kinds of animals! I actually went to a secondary school with a farm and even took a course in animal care with a distinction grade result! Animals are my passion and I like to have a respectful approach to all animals of all temperaments, with full awareness that some animals are more timid than others, it would be my joy to look after an animal of yours and also look after your house whilst you are away, I can also water plants and keep everything in line whilst you are gone! I am a pet owner myself and have had rodents, and currently have two lovely bunnies and a cat whom I absolutely adore, I really love the presence of Dogs and am really looking forward to owning my own in the future!! It would be a real privilege to look after your dog whilst you are away and I would 100% treat him/ her like my own ️. I can walk, feed, and care for any kind of dog. As well as house-sitting.

..and, apart of loving animals 24/7, I'm a professional (an engineer), lucky enough to work remotely. I decided to combine flexibility at work with passion for taking care of pets. Could there be anything better than this? :)
I'm a very responsible and tidy person. I have my own flat, so I know how important is to take care of the property and how great it is, when others respect it as well.
I can promise, that I absolutely love animals and you can be assured I will take care of your pet as of my own :). All I need to know is, what they usually like to do, what's their routine, dietary requirements etc.
I have experience taking care of various animals, including dogs, cats, guinea pigs, rabbits, chickens, llamas and alpacas :)) . My parents used to have goats, and small African pigs which I can certainly add to my experience list! Currently, I cannot have a pet on my own and I'm dying to take care of some. So please, don't hesitate to contact me!
If that's of any help, apart of English, I speak fluently Spanish and Polish. I am also great at taking care of the plants.
I might ask you sometimes to have my partner with me, for the overnight stays.
