Hello! My name is Thea and I offer a pet sitting service specifically for cats, where I will visit your home to look after your cat(s) while you are away. I am based in Chester-le-Street, but can travel as far as Durham, Newcastle, or Bishop Auckland if needed. The duration of single visits is about 1 hour, but you can book me for double visits which means I will come twice a day (perfect if your kitties are used to being fed in the morning and evening), or overnight which means I will spend the full 24 hours around your cat, which I know can be reassuring to some people whose feline friends require an extra amount of attention. I have been around pets my entire life, and have owned a cat (on occasion several cats) since the age of 7. I know from experience how difficult it can be to leave your pet when going away, so I would love to help ease this process and make both you and your feline friend's experience apart as comfortable and stress-free as possible by providing them with the utmost care and attention during your time away. I know that every cat is different and always take the time to get to know the cat's own set of needs and ways of communicating. I have previous experience looking after kitties, including shy and aloof cats who tend to warm to me in their own way. If you choose me as your next cat sitter I will make sure your kitty is well taken care of, and will send daily pictures and updates of our time together. I offer daily visits to your home so that your cat can feel comfortable in its own environment, and can also do overnight stays. I have always loved pets. I remember when as a child my cousin asked me what would I do if I was super rich when I grow up and I said - I would have a house full of pets! I do not have much experience working as a paid pet sitter but from young age I was a co-owner of fish, rabbit and a dog. Since I was a kid, I have been passionate about animals. In my childhood, I had a dog, cats, birds, and rabits. In the past few years, I had a lizard, a cat, and a big fish tank. In my free time, I like to go to parks and feed pigeons, swans, and seagulls. When I see dogs around me, I simply ask their owners if I can pat their dogs. My friends think that I like pets more than humans! In fact only pets lovers will understand how the companionship of pets, especially dogs and cats, can comfort a human being.
I may not be able to take care of your pet where I live because it is student accommodation, but I will be more than happy to walk your dogs anytime in my breaks (morning, afternoon and at night).I prefer to have and be around vaccinated pets, as this is important for the safety and well being of the animal and the community.
