Top cities for house sitting in United Kingdom

Are you going away but have a pet that prefers to stay in their own environment? Or perhaps you have a range of different animals and it’s not practical for you to organise for them to stay in different places? Then you might want to consider finding a Pawshake house sitter to come and stay at your Bletchley home while you are away.

House sitting is a convenient and affordable option when you have multiple pets and also want your house to be securely looked after while you are away. Many of our pet sitters have very reasonable house sitting rates because they enjoy staying and exploring different local neighbourhoods like Bletchley.

At Pawshake, we understand that trusting your home to a stranger can be a little daunting. So we’ve done all the hard work to ensure that your Pawshake house sitter is trustworthy and reliable. All our pet sitter profiles are checked individually by our dedicated trust and safety team and some house sitters also have their own police checks which they can share with you.

The best thing about engaging a Pawshake verified house sitter is that you can relax knowing that on top of being covered by The Pawshake Guarantee which includes veterinary coverage, so your pets are being cared for in a familiar environment and your Bletchley home is also being looked after as well.

In addition to looking after your pets, most of our house sitters will happily help you by collecting your mail, taking out the bins, and watering your plants. Just make sure you discuss all your requirements with your chosen house sitter prior to booking.

Animal Lover, Dog Sitter & Experienced Animal Handler

Hi, I’m Alicia! Animals have always been a huge part of my life, and I’d love the opportunity to give your pets the same care, attention and love I give my own.
I’ve grown up around dogs, cats, rabbits and horses, so I’m comfortable with animals of all different personalities, sizes and needs. Dogs in particular are a huge part of my experience. I regularly help look after my auntie’s dog and genuinely love getting involved with walks, playtime, feeding, cuddles and keeping them company. I understand that leaving your dog with someone else can be stressful, so my priority is making sure they feel safe, settled and happy while you’re away.
My animal background goes beyond just being a pet owner. I have a Level 3 Extended Diploma in Equine Horse Management from Moulton College, with experience in equine and agricultural environments. I have also attended the British Racing School and hold my amateur jockey licence, giving me extensive hands-on experience with horses, handling animals, following routines and understanding their behaviour and individual needs.
I also have my own rabbits, so I’m very familiar with the responsibility of daily animal care and making sure pets receive the correct food, attention, exercise and enrichment.
Whether your dog needs a fun walk, some company during the day, feeding, playtime or simply a friendly face while you’re out, I’ll treat them like they’re my own. ️
Experienced, trustworthy and genuinely animal-mad — your pets will be in safe hands with me!

The Pets I Care For & Services I Offer
I’m happy to care for a variety of pets, including dogs, cats, rabbits, hamsters and horses. Every animal is different, so I’m more than happy to work around their individual routines, personalities and needs.
Dogs:I can offer dog walking, daytime doggy daycare and pet sitting. If you’re at work or out for the day, I can look after your dog during the daytime, keeping them company, giving them attention, playing with them and making sure they’re happy and comfortable. Walks can also be arranged depending on your dog’s needs and routine.
Cats:I can visit your home to feed your cats, refresh water, clean litter trays, give them attention and make sure they’re happy while you’re away. If you’d prefer, I can also house sit and stay at your home, so your cats have company and their normal routine can be maintained.
Rabbits & Small Animals:I’m experienced with rabbits through having my own, and I’m happy to provide feeding, fresh water, cleaning, handling and general care for rabbits and hamsters while you’re away.
Horses:With my equine background and Level 3 Equine Horse Management qualification, I’m also comfortable caring for horses and helping with their usual daily routines.
All services will be offered around my days off from my work as cabin crew and bartending. Because my working schedule can change, I’ll always be completely upfront about my availability. When you send me a booking request with your preferred date(s), I’ll check my schedule and let you know before anything is confirmed whether I’m available.
Whether you need someone for a quick dog walk, daytime care, feeding visits or someone to stay in your home while you’re away, I’m happy to discuss what works best for you and your pets. ️

Growing up around animals of all shapes and sizes—from horses to cats—has given me a deep-rooted love and understanding of their needs. This lifelong experience has shaped my approach to pet sitting: compassionate, responsible, and attentive. I treat every animal as if they were my own, offering not just care, but companionship and comfort. Whether it's playtime, feeding, medication, or simply keeping them company, I ensure each pet feels safe and loved while their owner is away.
My strong customer service background means I communicate clearly, listen carefully to instructions, and tailor my care to meet each pet’s unique routine and personality. I understand how important it is to trust someone with your pet, and I take that responsibility seriously. With me, your pets will be in loving, capable hands—giving you peace of mind while you're away. Reliable, caring, and passionate—this is more than a job; it’s my calling.

I grew up in the beautiful Bedfordshire countryside and spent my days with ponies and dogs since I was 5 years old. I've worked professionally in the equine industry across disciplines. I e run my own yards from home and bred some beautiful horses.
I worked in boarding kennels as a teen, and lived with farm dogs for many years before settling on a career in teaching where I taught young people with emotional ad behavioural challenges.
I'm now retired and live with my constant companion, Parker the cockapoo. We spend our days with my 2 horses and the evenings cuddled up with a good book.
We often go to nearby forests for long walks and are lucky enough to have miles and miles of countryside on our doorstep
I am able to visit your home to walk, play with or let out your pets. I'm also available to house sit for you and take care of all your furry friends. I must emphasise that Parker comes with me everywhere so if your dog is reactive it might not be a good fit. Parker is neutered and fine with female dogs and most male dogs.
I only receive small to medium dogs in my home but happy to work with bigger dogs at yours.
If you have horses that need field checks, exercising or feeding, turnout etc that is something we can discuss. Chickens, cats, rats, snakes and all other pets can be looked after in your home according to your instructions.. Medications can be administered responsibly.
I'm flexible as long as your instructions are clear.
With over 50 years of personal and professional experience, your precious companions will be in safe hands

Hi, I'm Hannah! I’m freshly back in the UK after spending 10 years living in the USA, and I’m excited to settle in by doing something that has always come naturally to me: caring for dogs. I grew up with two family pups who still hold my whole heart: Harper, our 6-year-old miniature double doodle who is full of endless energy, need for attention and mischief, and Oliver, our 12-year-old shih tzu, who believes he is royalty. Because of them, I’ve lived through every stage of dog life, from puppy zoomies to senior snuggles.
I’m that person who stops mid-conversation to admire a dog walking by and immediately switches to a high-pitched “hello!” without shame. I also tend to invent silly nicknames within minutes of meeting. Walking is something I genuinely love for my own mental clarity, so taking your furry family member out isn’t just a job; it’s something that benefits me just as much as them.
I’m dependable with routines, feeding schedules, and house rules, but I balance that with plenty of affection, playtime, and treats (according to your preferences). Whether you need house sitting, daily walks, or simple check-ins, I’m committed to making sure your pet feels safe, loved, and understood. All ages and sizes welcome! I’m ready to become your dog’s next best friend.

I'm a fur mumma of 5 dogs (my babies) and totally pet obsessed!
I know 1st hand how difficult it is to find loving, reliable pet sitters who you can trust completely whilst you are away. If, like me, you seek the reassurance that your pet(s) are having the best time in your absence, which in turn allows you to fully relax whilst you are away from them.
Based on my own experience and what I would expect for my own pets, I offer a loving, friendly, reliable pet sitting and dog walking service in the comfort of your pet’s own home, tailored to your pet’s needs. Whether it’s cuddle time, playtime, or walkies, I will treat your furry family like my own as I know how much they mean to you.
I care for all creatures great and small — from bouncy pups and chilled-out cats to rabbits, hamsters, and beyond.

I’m a caring, patient and responsible pet lover who genuinely enjoys spending time with animals. I’ve always had a soft spot for pets and grew up with cats in Sri Lanka, so caring for animals has been a natural part of my life for many years. I also regularly help care for a cat, so I’m comfortable with feeding, playtime, keeping pets company and making sure they feel safe, relaxed and cared for.
I’m currently offering cat visits, dog walking and house sitting. For cat visits, I can provide feeding, fresh water, litter care, playtime and plenty of attention, while following your pet’s usual routine and any specific instructions you leave. I understand that cats can have very different personalities, so I’m happy to give a shy cat space or spend more time playing and cuddling with a sociable one.
I’m also keen to build my experience with dogs through dog walking. I’m comfortable starting with friendly, manageable dogs and will always take the time to understand their personality, routine and walking needs before a booking.
I’m mainly available at weekends and will always treat your home and your pet with care and respect. I’ll follow your instructions carefully and keep you updated during visits so you can enjoy your time away knowing your pet is being looked after.
My priority is simple: happy pets, peace of mind for their owners, and a reliable service you can feel comfortable booking again.

Hello I'm Shannon, a dedicated, full-time in-home pet sitter with a passion for creating comfort and trust for every animal i care for.
For over a year now, I’ve been lucky enough to build wonderful relationships with my clients and their pets. many of whom have become regulars (some even trust me with their keys year-round!).
Animals have always been at the heart of my life. I share my home with my two beloved cats, Narla and Billy, who inspired me to offer the same level of love and consistency to others’ pets.
In April 2025, I spent a month volunteering at a cat shelter in Portugal, caring for over 250 cats — an unforgettable experience that deepened my love for animal care. I’ve also volunteered teaching English to Polish locals, and I’m always looking for ways to connect with people and animals through kindness, travel, and growth.
I specialise in staying in your pet’s own home, offering 24-hour companionship and consistency. This allows your pets to remain in familiar surroundings, follow their usual routines, and avoid the stress of kennels or catteries.
They receive constant care and comfort — day and night — so you can enjoy peace of mind knowing they’re safe, loved, and completely at ease while you’re away

I’ve been a self-proclaimed "crazy cat lady" for as long as I can remember, and my passion for cats has only grown over the past six years. From playful kittens to sleepy seniors, my heart flutters whenever I see them. My experience includes caring for a cat with bronchitis for four years, which involved giving medication, nightly nebulizing treatments, and ensuring comfort. Grooming, such as brushing fur and cleaning ears, is part of our daily routine as i pwned a Persian cat with long coat. I take pride in maintaining a tidy and calm environment for them. Beyond tasks, I’ve developed a deep understanding of cats’ moods and needs, whether they’re in the mood for play, food, or a cozy nap. Each cat’s unique personality fascinates me, and I love getting to know them. I’d be delighted to be your go-to cat-sitter, offering love, care, and plenty of snuggles to your feline friend(s) while you’re away!
