Top cities for house sitting in United Kingdom

Are you going away but have a pet that prefers to stay in their own environment? Or perhaps you have a range of different animals and it’s not practical for you to organise for them to stay in different places? Then you might want to consider finding a Pawshake house sitter to come and stay at your Brandon home while you are away.

House sitting is a convenient and affordable option when you have multiple pets and also want your house to be securely looked after while you are away. Many of our pet sitters have very reasonable house sitting rates because they enjoy staying and exploring different local neighbourhoods like Brandon.

At Pawshake, we understand that trusting your home to a stranger can be a little daunting. So we’ve done all the hard work to ensure that your Pawshake house sitter is trustworthy and reliable. All our pet sitter profiles are checked individually by our dedicated trust and safety team and some house sitters also have their own police checks which they can share with you.

The best thing about engaging a Pawshake verified house sitter is that you can relax knowing that on top of being covered by The Pawshake Guarantee which includes veterinary coverage, so your pets are being cared for in a familiar environment and your Brandon home is also being looked after as well.

In addition to looking after your pets, most of our house sitters will happily help you by collecting your mail, taking out the bins, and watering your plants. Just make sure you discuss all your requirements with your chosen house sitter prior to booking.

Hi there! I am Lily :)

I am a reliable and hard working individual with a true passion for animal care. I may be new to pawshake but I have 5 years experience working in a kennels & Cattery, 6 years experience pet sitting & dog walking, and 1 year experience volunteering at a local wildlife sanctuary. If you decide to entrust me with your pets I can promise you they will be very well looked after and feel so loved while you're away. I think my biggest strength is my empathy and the ability to read animals. If I am caring for your pet I will care for them as if they were my own, and I love taking the time to get to know each pet and understand their individual needs. Whether that's taking your energetic dog on a long walk with plenty of fetch, or just sitting in the living room and gently talking to your nervous pet and letting them get to know me.

I grew up rescuing all sorts of animals. From little birds, horses, dogs, cats, guinea pigs...you name it & my family & I have probably rescued it . I couldn't imagine a life without animals and love making a difference, at one point when I was growing up we had 6 dogs, 4 cats and 4 ponies!

I have just finished my law degree at the university of Huddersfield, and now I have moved to Coventry with my boyfriend. We are currently living with his parents and saving up for our first house! We also adopted a 10 year old cat in our third year of uni called Tessa.

I work 9am-5.30pm Monday-Friday so if your pets aren't okay with being left for this amount of time everyday then we might not be a match unfortunately. However Jack is a teacher and has school holidays off so he might be able to help me out during this time. Jack has a lot of animal care experience. He grew up fostering dogs and cats for the RSPCA, and regularly helps his dad out with caring for his parrots.

I have a lot of experience administrating medication from my time working at the kennels, and have worked with all sizes of dogs. I also have experience in following strict diets and cleaning procedures. I also have a qualification from the Leeds animal welfare college in cat, dog and rabbit behaviour.

My car is very well equipped for dog walking, with lots of treats, tennis balls, blankets, towels, a cooling mat, water bowls & a divider!

If I am ever faced with an emergency I would immediately take your pet to your chosen vet & of course call you when on my way.

While you are away I will ensure to take lots of photos of your babies and keep you updated, and of course go on plenty of walks

If you have any questions feel free to message me!

Hi! I’m Jamie, 28 and I work full-time in the automotive industry during the week, but my true passion is spending time with dogs. I miss my own dogs back home, so I offer dog walking and sitting simply because I love it—it’s not about the rates for me! I’m available for dog sitting on weekends and can do walks or drop-in visits every day except Wednesdays.

Whether it’s a quick pop-in, a long walk, or some weekend cuddles and play, I’m more than happy to care for your dog in their own home where they feel safe and relaxed. I can also help with feeding, basic care, and giving oral medication if needed. I know some dogs take time to warm up, so I’m patient and happy to build trust slowly. Every pup gets treated like family, and I’d love to become a regular friend to yours!

Hello! I'm currently a med student in UoW.
I have 2 corgi boys and 3 cats of my own back home in Devon and missing them lots! I am experienced when it comes to looking after pets both dogs and cats. If you're searching for someone who will love on your babies as much as you do, who is dedicated to providing exceptional care, look no further! My late collie had behavioural problems on top of pain from hip dysplasia and Osteoarthritis so I am well versed in handling medication and also reading dog's but also cat's body language after working with a certified animal behaviourist for a while. I know when to give the pet their space and to respect their boundaries. Open communication and clear instructions from owners are very important for pets with extra needs. I am very calm and can work under pressure. I am someone you want in times of need.
I am happy to do dog walks or Pop-ins and Cat pop-in visits also!
For cat pop-ins, I will include cleaning the litterbox, playing with them, cuddling, petting, snuggling or simply keeping them company for at least 30mins

Dog walks will be a minimum of 30mins-1hr; can vary depending on agreed timeframe.

My availabilities are: - Weekends: Morning, Afternoon, Evening Walks and pop-ins available- Weekdays: 2/4 Tuesdays I am mostly available for Morning,Afternoon, Evening walks and pop-ins. Wednesday Late Afternoon, Thursday Evening, Friday Late afternoon and Evening Walks. I will also update my calendar regularly so please check that also. I do not currently drive so will be walking to your houses :) or taking the bus.

I grew up around pets and quickly learned that good care is not just about feeding and walking, but about patience, attention, and creating a calm, safe environment where they feel secure. Becoming a pet sitter feels like a natural extension of that mindset. I genuinely enjoy spending time with animals and find it rewarding to help them feel comfortable and loved while their owners are away.
My motivation comes from understanding how stressful it can be to leave your pet with someone else. I want owners to feel confident that their pets are treated with the same care and respect I would give my own. I am reliable, organised, and attentive to routines. In a typical day, I follow each pet’s normal routine as closely as possible. Mornings might start with a walk, fresh water, breakfast, and some playtime to burn energy. During the day, I build in enrichment like short training games, gentle brushing, or puzzle toys. Evenings are usually calmer with another walk, dinner, and quiet companionship so they can settle comfortably. I keep spaces clean and stick to feeding and medication schedules carefully.
I have previous experience caring for dogs and cats for friends, neighbours, and family, including daily walks and feeding. I am comfortable with different temperaments and energy levels, from playful puppies to calmer pets who need a gentler pace. Energetic dogs get longer walks and active play, while shy or anxious pets get patience and a slower approach so they can warm up at their own pace.
What I bring that is unique is consistency and attentiveness. I am organised, calm, and observant, so I quickly notice changes in behaviour or appetite. I also genuinely enjoy spending time with animals, not just “checking in” on them.
For everyone’s safety and wellbeing, I only work with vaccinated pets. Cleanliness, safety, and comfort are always priorities. Above all, I aim to provide consistent, loving care so your pet feels happy, relaxed, and at home even when you are away.

I've been around dogs since I was a baby. As a child, I dreamt of becoming a vet, but it wasn't to be! Nevertheless, my passions for dogs remains to this day and I currently own a male Japanese Akita and a female Labrador. Over the years, I've had a Collie, a German Shepherd, and several Labradors.
It's not just medium and large dogs who I have experience with, though. My grandmother had a lovely poodle and a charismatic chihuahua. My girlfriend also has a fiesty and playful chihuahua, so I'm particular familiar with that small breed.
I'm trying to build up my fitness, so can match the exercise of the dog. Whether it's a super energetic one that likes to go on long walks or an older or smaller one that prefers slower, short walks, I can adapt.

So, if your dog is friendly and vaccine, don't hesitate to book me for a job!
