Are you going away but have a pet that prefers to stay in their own environment? Or perhaps you have a range of different animals and it’s not practical for you to organise for them to stay in different places? Then you might want to consider finding a Pawshake house sitter to come and stay at your Darfield home while you are away.

House sitting is a convenient and affordable option when you have multiple pets and also want your house to be securely looked after while you are away. Many of our pet sitters have very reasonable house sitting rates because they enjoy staying and exploring different local neighbourhoods like Darfield.

At Pawshake, we understand that trusting your home to a stranger can be a little daunting. So we’ve done all the hard work to ensure that your Pawshake house sitter is trustworthy and reliable. All our pet sitter profiles are checked individually by our dedicated trust and safety team and some house sitters also have their own police checks which they can share with you.

The best thing about engaging a Pawshake verified house sitter is that you can relax knowing that on top of being covered by The Pawshake Guarantee which includes veterinary coverage, so your pets are being cared for in a familiar environment and your Darfield home is also being looked after as well.

In addition to looking after your pets, most of our house sitters will happily help you by collecting your mail, taking out the bins, and watering your plants. Just make sure you discuss all your requirements with your chosen house sitter prior to booking.

Hi, I’m Lorna. I’m a friendly, reliable pet sitter and I genuinely love animals. I’ve had dogs for over 25 years and have always grown up around pets, so caring for them has always been a big part of my life. I know how important it is to leave your pet with someone you trust, and I’ll always do my best to make sure they feel safe, happy and well looked after. I’m DBS checked and fully insured too, so you can have extra peace of mind.
I offer dog walking, pop-in visits and boarding for dogs, cats and small pets. Dog walks are usually 30 minutes or 1 hour, depending on your dog and what suits them best. I like to keep the number of dogs I walk at one time low so they get plenty of attention, and I’m happy to do solo walks if that would suit your dog better. Pop-in visits can include feeding, fresh water, litter tray cleaning, letting pets out, giving medication if needed, playtime, cuddles and company. Boarding is very much a home-from-home service, where pets are treated like part of the family and kept to their usual routine as much as possible.
I’m happy to help with regular bookings, occasional cover and holiday care, depending on availability. If there was ever an emergency, I would contact you straight away and/or any other emergency contact. If needed, I would take your pet to your registered vet or the nearest available vet. Your pet’s safety and wellbeing will always come first.
Every pet is different, so I take the time to get to know their routine, personality and needs. Whether your dog needs a walk, your cat needs company and care at home, or your pet needs a safe and cosy place to stay, I’ll look after them as if they were my own.

I’m a caring, reliable, and attentive pet sitter with a genuine passion for animal wellbeing. My motivation to be a pet sitter comes from the joy I get from building trust with animals and helping them feel safe, calm, and happy while their owners are away. I understand that leaving a pet can be stressful, so I focus on providing consistent, personalised care that mirrors their usual routine as closely as possible.
I have hands-on experience caring for dogs and cats with a variety of personalities, energy levels, and needs. For example, I’ve looked after energetic dogs who need longer, structured walks and plenty of playtime, as well as more relaxed or older pets who prefer gentle walks and quiet companionship. During walks, I stay alert to my surroundings, keep dogs on secure leads, and adjust pace and distance based on the dog’s comfort and ability.
I also have experience caring for pets who feel anxious or unsettled. In these situations, I take a calm, patient approach, using reassurance, routine, and familiar activities to help them relax. Playtime is always tailored to the pet — whether that’s throwing a ball, interactive games, or calm indoor play.
Safety and hygiene are always a priority for me. I closely supervise pets at all times, follow owner instructions carefully, and only accept fully vaccinated pets to ensure a healthy environment. My goal is to give every pet individual attention and every owner complete peace of mind.

Hi! My name is Violet and i would love to look after your pets! I am offering dog walks, pet sitting/ house sitting and drop in animal care- basically anything you need at your home :) I own two very adorable cats and two very cute bunny rabbits. I love spending time with them more than i can describe but being at university means I don't get to see them every day :( so i would love to spend time with yours! my closest friends also own dogs who I have looked after on many an occasion and I have volunteered for 2 years at hackney city farm looking after all of the animals from mini chickens to rabbits to goats so i have a good range of skills when it comes to animal care- especially thanks to my cats who i've had for over 11 years. I am a very reliable pet sitter and will ensure that your pets not only recieve the necessary care but I also ensure I sit with them and play with them for plenty of time. I have been the go-to pet sitter in my local area! My neighbours ask me to look after their cats and dogs on a regular basis and one even hired me to feed his many birds for a month!

Hi, I'm Nat. I am 27 years old.I look forward to looking after your pets while you're away, whether it's just an hour or two or for 24 hours, I will be respectful and as caring as one can be.
I'm more than happy to look after your pet for 24hrs or longer if required.
I will take your pet for a walk and play with them, if that is not required or possible, or if they are reactive, I will sit and play with them or teach them how to use mentally challenging puzzles for 2 hours minimum to mentally stimulate them instead.1hr dog walk 1 hr mental stimulation. (2hrs in total)Minimum stay 2 hours for a dog walk or sit.Maximum stay 6 hours for a dog walk or sit(Price may vary depending on the hrs. )Night-shift pet sit/visit: 1hr maximum.(Night visit 1hr to let the dog out play then back to bed i have to be respectful of the neighbours and noises)Available early mornings and afternoons.I love taking care of animals and they are my passion, I believe any pet should be treated as part of the family. I have great knowledge of Animal behaviour and caring for animals. As well as vast experience with handling animals. I have looked after reactive and non-reactive animals. Nothing phases me anymore.I have a diploma in Animal care, management and behaviour.
I graduated from Bishop Burton College in 2017.
I have worked for the RSPCA.
I have worked in kennels and pet shops. I have worked as a dog trainer and a groomer.
All these experiences taught me it's just as important to make sure the owners are taken care for and their minds put at ease as it is important to look after their beloved pets.
DBS checked ️
References availableI don't do personal home sits at my house due to having an elderly dog.Thank you for reading hope to meet you and your pet soon!

Hi and thank you for viewing my profile!
I currently run my own Tree Surgery business but working with dogs is something I have wanted to do for many years and I am now finally taking the steps to make this happen!
Even though I am just starting out my dog care business life I do have previous experience with all dog sizes from small to giant breeds.
I do not judge based on breed or behaviour issues and I am happy to care for all dogs and their individual needs.
Been an owner of a reactive dog myself I understand the difficulties that you can face and I have learnt to read dog body language well, doing much research and learning into this subject so I am able to spot triggers early and improvise as needed to keep your dog happy and safe.
Our walks will also be structured different and wouldn't just be a boring walk around the field but would include basic training, sniffing games, play time and mental stimulation to gauntee a happy, content and tired pooch!
Our group walks would be limited to no more then 4 dogs per walk to garuntee time, affection and enrichment is met equally.
During house visits and house sittings the same care would be given as on walks. It wouldn't just be in & out for toilet breaks but basic training (including play time) would be part of the service and making your dog happy would be number 1 priority.
Walks will be trackable and full DBS will be available to view.
I shall be covering Sheffield, Rotherham and Barnsley for 30 or 60 minute walks, house visits for toilet breaks & training and house sitting as required.
Thanks
Adam

I have owned dogs all my life, and currently have the cutest 6 year old English springer spaniel called Alfie who we have had since a puppy. He is very energetic and loves long walks, but will love just as much to come and cuddle with you. Growing up, I had a black Labrador, which is where my love for dogs began.

I have lots of experience with all sizes of dogs as well as different ages and different energy levels.
I am great with energetic young dogs as well as laid back sleepy dogs.
I love taking energetic dogs to new places to explore but also chilling out with laidback sleepy dogs who just like a short stroll.
I am here to make sure your furry friends needs are fully met and I will ensure to make them feel extra loved while you are away!

Along with this, I am happy to care for multiple pet households such as multiple dogs or a mix of dogs & cats! Please let me know if there is any extra care needed such as ensuring dogs & cats are kept separate etc.

I am always open to any extra types of care needed such as medication or extra attention, given instructions.

I appreciate you entrusting me with your fur babies so will always treat them as my own, as well as treating your home with respect, leaving it identical to how it was found, with a cared for and happy pet left waiting for you to return!

I am currently a student studying physics at the university of Sheffield.
I have a fairly flexible schedule and can fit in multiple visits a day as well as staying overnight

However being a student, I will not be able to stay in your home full time on weekdays & will need to go out to my lectures at various times - please message me for more info!
