Are you going away but have a pet that prefers to stay in their own environment? Or perhaps you have a range of different animals and it’s not practical for you to organise for them to stay in different places? Then you might want to consider finding a Pawshake house sitter to come and stay at your Lower Earley home while you are away.

House sitting is a convenient and affordable option when you have multiple pets and also want your house to be securely looked after while you are away. Many of our pet sitters have very reasonable house sitting rates because they enjoy staying and exploring different local neighbourhoods like Lower Earley.

At Pawshake, we understand that trusting your home to a stranger can be a little daunting. So we’ve done all the hard work to ensure that your Pawshake house sitter is trustworthy and reliable. All our pet sitter profiles are checked individually by our dedicated trust and safety team and some house sitters also have their own police checks which they can share with you.

The best thing about engaging a Pawshake verified house sitter is that you can relax knowing that on top of being covered by The Pawshake Guarantee which includes veterinary coverage, so your pets are being cared for in a familiar environment and your Lower Earley home is also being looked after as well.

In addition to looking after your pets, most of our house sitters will happily help you by collecting your mail, taking out the bins, and watering your plants. Just make sure you discuss all your requirements with your chosen house sitter prior to booking.

I’m a university student at the University of Reading studying for my Environmental Science undergraduate degree, with a genuine love for animals and their wellbeing.
Alongside my studies, I’m currently working towards my Gold Duke of Edinburgh award - nearly there! and starting this year to volunteer with Soulscape at Reading Festival, as well as being a leader with Girlguiding. These experiences have made me responsible, reliable, and confident in caring for others.I hold a recent enhanced DBS check, so you can feel assured your pet and home are in safe hands. I understand how important it is to keep pets happy, comfortable, and in their routine, and I’d love the opportunity to provide that care while also supporting myself through my studies.
Whether it’s walks, feeding, playtime, or just keeping them company, I’ll treat your pet like my own. ensuring they feel safe, relaxed, and well cared for at all times. offering persitting in your home, drop ins, and walks.

Hi, I’m Monica, a genuine animal lover with many years of hands-on experience caring for dogs and a wide range of other animals.
I recently said goodbye to my beloved Yorkshire Terrier, Lily, after almost 15 wonderful years together. She was much more than a pet — she was my constant companion and a very important part of my family, my second child. Caring for her throughout her life taught me just how much dogs rely on patience, routine, understanding and, above all, genuine companionship.
That experience has made me even more passionate about giving other dogs the same feeling of being safe, loved and cared for when their owners are away.
I work from home full-time, which means your dog will have plenty of companionship and attention throughout the day rather than being left alone for long periods.
I have experience caring for dogs, horses, birds and reptiles, and I have completed several animal-care and veterinary-nursing qualifications:

Level 3 Award in Horse Care & Stable Management – Higher Distinction
Level 3 Award in Equine Behaviour & Psychology – Higher Distinction
Level 2 & 3 Awards in Veterinary Nursing – Higher Distinction

I am comfortable following individual routines, administering medication when required, and providing extra patience and reassurance for older, nervous or more sensitive dogs.
My home has a large, secure garden, giving dogs a safe space to relax, explore and enjoy some fresh air. I aim to keep their normal routine as much as possible, including walks, playtime, meals, rest and plenty of companionship.
Most importantly, I treat every dog as an individual. I want them to feel safe, relaxed and genuinely at home while they are staying with me.
If you’re looking for a reliable, experienced and caring dog sitter where your dog will receive plenty of attention and feel part of the family, I’d love to meet you and your dog.
