I’m Alicia Turner, an experienced and dedicated animal care professional with a strong background in working with dogs of all breeds and temperaments. I’ve been gaining hands-on experience and volunteer work at a dog daycare for the past two years, caring for up to 20 dogs at a time for full-day sessions. I hold an Animal Care Level 2 qualification and Level 3 animal management qualification at Merrist Wood College. I grown up surrounded by dogs—especially XL Bullies, including my own—I’ve developed a deep understanding of canine behavior, needs, and personalities. My goal is to provide every dog with the best care and all of their welfare needs. I'm passionate about dog sitting and dog walking because caring for animals has always been a big part of my life. I enjoy spending time with dogs-building trust, keeping them active, and making sure they feel happy and secure. Hi my names hope I am an animal lover that's grown up with cats dogs and small animals like rabbits and hamsters. I'm currently training to become a nurse so being able to a little extra earn money whilst de-stressing looking after pets sounds like heaven to me.
 I'm based just outside of Guildford in Surrey and I'm able to do drop in visits, walks and sits. I currently have one cat, Marley, that I adore. Due to Marley being nervous with other animals unfortunately I won't be able to care of other peoples pets at my own house. But she has given experience for caring for a pet that needs a little more time and patience. 
I have experience for caring and walking small to large size dogs. As I currently not a driver my partner who also is animal lover and has lots of experience owning, caring for and walking dogs would be with me for dog walks and sitting. He's also an animal lover who has lots of experience of looking after dogs as he had a Labrador for 10 plus years until she passed away. 

A few years ago I began pet sitting part time for friends and neighbours, and in 2023 I decided to leave my corporate job and work full time with animals, looking for a more rewarding and slower pace of life. 
I was luckily to grow up surrounded by animals, as my mother worked with the RSPCA and Cats Protection for a large part of my childhood. She now rescues animals in Portugal working with the locals to reduce animal cruelty. 
Between my sister and I we have two rescue dogs and 4 cats. Having rescue animals with unique and often challenging needs, I know how worrying it can be to leave them in the care of others. Often feeling torn between making plans to spend time away, and being able to leave them in the care of those I can trust. 
I’m passionate about providing a home from home service and spending time getting to know each pet and its unique needs. This is why I offer a free home visit to get to know you and your beloved pet beforehand. &nbsp;
I offer a home from home pet sitting service which ensures your pet can stay in their usual routine and familiar surroundings. Whether daily visits or overnight stays providing 24hr care, visits are tailored to your unique needs. 
All those with whiskers are welcome such as cats, dogs, rabbits, guinea pigs, hamsters and more.
If you need someone to pop in and walk your pooch whilst out at work or away from home, I offer a one to one dog walking service where only dogs in the same house hold are walked together.

My experience with dogs has been vast since childhood within my family I have grown up with a Labrador/Collie cross, 3 Irish wolfhounds and a Welsh Springer Spaniel all of which I have looked after when needed, even helping out with training too.

Recently boarded a 9 year old Jack Russell too who had two walks a day and was well looked after. 

We have a fenced garden and two or three parks nearby for on-lead walks so plenty of options for exercise, even for elderly dogs who may not be as spritely as they once were. 

I am aware that some dogs may have separation anxiety and when I am at work during the day (Monday to Friday) my wife and/or parents in law are home for company and letting out for toilet breaks etc… and I can provide walks in the morning before work and then after work to ensure exercise requirements are well met (a tired dog is a happy dog).

We have two children who are 6 &amp; 9 and they are fully aware of how they should behave around dogs.

I have recently moved back to the UK from New Zealand, where I was a dance movement therapist specialising in P.T.S.D. and trauma related challenges for women and children both clinically and in the education system.&nbsp;&nbsp;
In between sessions I would dog walk for friends and friends of friends as well as cat sit.   The attunement and care is not too disimilar for both animals and humans!&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;
