Are you going away but have a pet that prefers to stay in their own environment? Or perhaps you have a range of different animals and it’s not practical for you to organise for them to stay in different places? Then you might want to consider finding a Pawshake house sitter to come and stay at your Formby home while you are away.

House sitting is a convenient and affordable option when you have multiple pets and also want your house to be securely looked after while you are away. Many of our pet sitters have very reasonable house sitting rates because they enjoy staying and exploring different local neighbourhoods like Formby.

At Pawshake, we understand that trusting your home to a stranger can be a little daunting. So we’ve done all the hard work to ensure that your Pawshake house sitter is trustworthy and reliable. All our pet sitter profiles are checked individually by our dedicated trust and safety team and some house sitters also have their own police checks which they can share with you.

The best thing about engaging a Pawshake verified house sitter is that you can relax knowing that on top of being covered by The Pawshake Guarantee which includes veterinary coverage, so your pets are being cared for in a familiar environment and your Formby home is also being looked after as well.

In addition to looking after your pets, most of our house sitters will happily help you by collecting your mail, taking out the bins, and watering your plants. Just make sure you discuss all your requirements with your chosen house sitter prior to booking.

Hello, I'm Lara, a Veterinary Medicine student with lots of dog walking experience. Attached on my photos are reviews from [link hidden] dog walking app. I’ve always had a passion for animals, and being around them is when I am my happiest.
I previously was a dog walker for 4 years, and have a range of breed and size experience. Although I don't have dogs myself I thoroughly enjoy walking them and jump at the opportunity help out friends with their own fur babies.
I have hands-on experience working in kennels, horse stables, mixed pet boarding facilities, and helping with lambing season, so I’m confident handling animals of all sizes, temperaments, and energy levels. My studies have also given me a strong understanding of animal health, behaviour, and welfare, so your dog’s safety and wellbeing will always be my top priority.
I love dogs and enjoy keeping active, so the enrichment of long dog walks are something I really miss while being at uni. Being away from my two cats at home has made me miss being around animals day to day, so i'd love to get back into dog walking for the quality time and company!
Whether your dog needs short brisk walks or longer ones, and regular or one off walking or house visits, I’d be delighted to help! Open to any questions, just message
(Please select travel expense £5 add on to cover the bus return journey if you are outside the city centre, thanks! )

Your pets will be cared for in their own home with plenty of love, attention, and gentle routine while you’re away. Services include feeding, daily care, playtime, cuddles, calm companionship, and unhurried one-to-one attention — all tailored to suit each pet’s needs and personality. With eight years’ experience as a registered veterinary nurse and a lifetime spent around animals, caring for pets comes very naturally to me. I’m confident reading body language and adjusting my approach for nervous, shy, sensitive, or wonderfully quirky characters — everyone is welcome here.Whether your pet wants to play, snooze beside me, follow me from room to room, or simply enjoy a quiet presence, I’m more than happy to oblige. Being chosen as a lap, pillow, or shadow is always considered an honour. As a registered veterinary nurse, I can also help with medications (oral, injectable, topical), nail trims, basic grooming, and any extra care your pet may need. If there’s something specific you’d like help with, just ask.I’m reliable, trustworthy, and happy to keep you updated with photos and videos so you can relax knowing your pets are safe, comfortable, and well cared for.I can’t wait to meet you and your lovely pets soon 🤍

Hi, I'm Liana! I'm 30 and live in Liverpool with my partner and our two rescue kitties, Nyx and Medea, who we adopted in January 2025.I spent my childhood with my family cats, which led to a lifelong love of cats. I've spent time caring for my friends' and family's cats - sometimes using visiting the humans as an excuse to see the cats! I started working as a professional cat sitter in August 2025, after deciding I wanted to turn my passion into a career. I can't wait to meet your furbabies and become best pals with them!I understand the importance of knowing that your babies are happy and safe while you're away. I promise to treat your cats as I treat my own - with care, respect and love.Every 30-minute visit includes: feeding, litter tray scooping (full changes available on request), playtime, and plenty of strokes and affection. After each visit, you will receive a detailed update, along with pictures and videos.I am fully insured, Pet First Aid trained, and can administer oral medications.

Hello, I am Beth. I am 24 years of age and I am located in Liverpool as a masters student and spend most of my time here.
I have always had a strong passion for animals, starting from a very early age, as you can see from my pictures. I love to care for animals. I think they are the best companions and I have owned many throughout my life ranging from guinea pigs, rabbits, fish, gerbils, budgies, dogs and cats. I appreciate the importance of caring for animals correctly and facilitating for all of their individual needs. I have a lot of spare time now that I have finished my studies and I like to keep myself busy so I thought this would be a great opportunity to do something I enjoy! I am looking at offering a range of services and I am more than happy to meet for meet and greets so you can decide whether I'd be suited to your pet.
I am able ti house sit in my own home but keep in mind I do own a cat (she is fine with other animals) so long as your pet/s will be friendly with her!
I'm able to dog walk, pet sit, come and drop by to feed your animals and stay over night if needed! I do have a job but the hours are usually 6-2 pm so other than that I am free!
If you have any questions about any services I can provide please feel free to drop me a message, thank you!

I offer dog walking, drop-in visits, and house sitting .Whether your pet needs long walks, gentle company, or just lots of cuddles, or being with whilst your enjoy a night out I’ll make sure they feel safe, happy, and loved while you’re away.

I know how important updates are, so you can expect lots regular photos and messages keeping you at ease knowing your pets are looked after.
I’d love to meet you and your pet to see if we’re the right match. Please feel free to reach out with any questions you may have!
I do offer hout long walks upon request x

I love all animals aswell as going for walks and exploring new areas. I can wake up whenever your pet usually eats and I typically go for one walk a day, longer or shorter, depending on your dogs energy levels and our previous walks that week. I work online and love spending the rest of my time curled up on the sofa with an animal reading a book so I can stay with your furry friend as long as they need and won't need to leave them for any long period of time. I also love taking photos of pets being cute and would love to send them to you and keep you updated.♡
I have experience with large dogs, having a bouncy German Shepherd at home, and with smaller dogs, having petsat a cuddly Jack Russell. I also have experience with older and younger cats, having a 20 year old and two kittens at home. I have previously administered insulin to a diabetic cocker spaniel and wrapped tablets in ham for the kittens so I'm happy to help with all your pets needs.
I love spending time with any animal, despite their quirks (even when my cats bring me mice to get rid of in the middle of the night...) and am excited to get to know your pet whether their shy or excitable.♡[link hidden]

Hi! My name is Rudi, and I'm currently living in Liverpool while studying to become a vet.
My life has always revolved around animals, and I have a sincere love for pet sitting. I am aware of how crucial it is for pets to feel secure, at ease, and well-cared for while their owners are away.
Since I was young, I have had a lot of experience with animals. I have owned pets of my own and have frequently provided pet care for family members, taking care of dogs, cats, and small animals with a range of needs, routines, and temperaments. I also worked as a vet nurse for a year in a clinic before starting uni, which gave me invaluable practical experience in animal handling, health monitoring, hygiene, and client communication.
I want to give owners confidence and peace of mind that their pets are in safe, knowledgeable hands.
Being at uni, I don't really have many opportunities to be around pets day to day (on the non vet side of things!), so pet sitting allows me to spend time with animals while providing them with attentive, high-quality care.

Being a dog owner for my whole life I have a love and passion for dogs. I love walking and would love a companion to join me whilst helping someone out who may not be able to do that before going off to university in September. I have just finished my A levels so I am free all day. Every day. I will treat your dog like my own. I have a crazy cocker spaniel at home and grew up with collies and labs so have had my fair share of experience and would consider myself trustworthy around your dog.
When I am in University, I am a volunteer dog walker for people who cannot walk their dogs because of medical issues or age.
As for walking I am happy to take your dog for as short or as long of a walk as you please as I say I am free most days all day and will work my life around your needed dog walks
