Top cities for house sitting in United Kingdom

Are you going away but have a pet that prefers to stay in their own environment? Or perhaps you have a range of different animals and it’s not practical for you to organise for them to stay in different places? Then you might want to consider finding a Pawshake house sitter to come and stay at your Four Marks home while you are away.

House sitting is a convenient and affordable option when you have multiple pets and also want your house to be securely looked after while you are away. Many of our pet sitters have very reasonable house sitting rates because they enjoy staying and exploring different local neighbourhoods like Four Marks.

At Pawshake, we understand that trusting your home to a stranger can be a little daunting. So we’ve done all the hard work to ensure that your Pawshake house sitter is trustworthy and reliable. All our pet sitter profiles are checked individually by our dedicated trust and safety team and some house sitters also have their own police checks which they can share with you.

The best thing about engaging a Pawshake verified house sitter is that you can relax knowing that on top of being covered by The Pawshake Guarantee which includes veterinary coverage, so your pets are being cared for in a familiar environment and your Four Marks home is also being looked after as well.

In addition to looking after your pets, most of our house sitters will happily help you by collecting your mail, taking out the bins, and watering your plants. Just make sure you discuss all your requirements with your chosen house sitter prior to booking.

As a lifelong pet owner and devoted animal lover, I have cared for dogs, cats, and a variety of other pets throughout my life. My experience includes handling large breeds, providing basic training support, and adapting to the unique needs of every animal in my care.

For boarding and daycare, pets stay in my home in a calm, pet-friendly environment. I have a secure, comfortable space where dogs can relax, play, and sleep - whether that means curling up on a dog bed in the livingroom or in the kitchen or settling on the sofa. Pets are never left alone for more than 2-3 hours, and I maintain their usual feeding schedules and routines to keep them settled.

Daily walks typically last 30-45 minutes, adjusted to your pet’s age, breed, and energy level. I handle feeding carefully, always following the owner’s instructions, and in case of any health concern or emergency, I will contact you immediately and, if needed, take your pet straight to the nearest vet.

I treat every pet as if they were my own, ensuring they receive love, attention, exercise, and companionship while you’re away. My goal is to give both pets and owners complete peace of mind. ️

I have owned cats and dogs and will take care of your pet as if it were my own. I will offer enrichment, cuddles and exercise to your pet. I have a good level of knowledge about dog training and behaviour and a good understanding of body language. I look forward to connecting with you and caring for your pet.
I work full time but I am looking to do some pet sitting on the side to have a little bit of extra income as well as spend time with animals, as we are not able to have our own pet at the moment. I work from home each Wednesday so have more flexibility for walks / sitting on a Wednesday. Otherwise it would need to be mornings / evenings and weekends.
I love cats and dogs and would prefer to take care of small and medium dogs, unless they are very well behaved large dogs.
I enjoy being outside so walking in all weathers will not be an issue. I have cared for my own elderly cat, and gone through the puppy training stage with a stubborn whippet!
