Are you going away but have a pet that prefers to stay in their own environment? Or perhaps you have a range of different animals and it’s not practical for you to organise for them to stay in different places? Then you might want to consider finding a Pawshake house sitter to come and stay at your Goring home while you are away.

House sitting is a convenient and affordable option when you have multiple pets and also want your house to be securely looked after while you are away. Many of our pet sitters have very reasonable house sitting rates because they enjoy staying and exploring different local neighbourhoods like Goring.

At Pawshake, we understand that trusting your home to a stranger can be a little daunting. So we’ve done all the hard work to ensure that your Pawshake house sitter is trustworthy and reliable. All our pet sitter profiles are checked individually by our dedicated trust and safety team and some house sitters also have their own police checks which they can share with you.

The best thing about engaging a Pawshake verified house sitter is that you can relax knowing that on top of being covered by The Pawshake Guarantee which includes veterinary coverage, so your pets are being cared for in a familiar environment and your Goring home is also being looked after as well.

In addition to looking after your pets, most of our house sitters will happily help you by collecting your mail, taking out the bins, and watering your plants. Just make sure you discuss all your requirements with your chosen house sitter prior to booking.

I've had many pets throughout my life including dogs, cats, rabbits and hamsters! I currently have two female cats called Dolly and Millie and a Jack Russell called Max. I often dog sit my daughter's French Bulldog when she is away and treat her as one of my own. I am available to pet sit in the Newbury and Thatcham area.
I have previously worked in a pet shop and have also volunteered at the cat protection league, where I was responsible for feeding the cats and cleaning the cat pens. I am on the DBS update service.
I am happy to care for pets in their own home setting, this can include socialising, dog walking, feeding, changing cat litter trays and more. I am available part time and my available hours vary so please do get in touch with any enquiries.
I am a huge animal lover and would love the opportunity to care for pets.‍

Hi, I’m a dedicated and caring cat sitter with a genuine love for animals and a calm, patient approach that helps even the shyest cats feel safe. I’ve grown up around pets and have spent the past several months regularly cat sitting, completing 20+ bookings. Through this, I’ve gained hands-on experience with a wide range of personalities—from very affectionate cats who love constant cuddles to more reserved ones who prefer quiet company and their own space. I understand that every cat is different, and I always tailor my care to suit their individual needs and routines.
For each booking, I offer attentive and reliable visits (typically 30–60 minutes, but I can adjust if needed). During this time, I’ll feed your cat, refresh water, clean litter trays, and spend quality time with them—whether that’s playtime, cuddles, or simply being a calm presence. I’m also happy to give medication if required and can send regular updates with photos so you have peace of mind while you’re away.
I mainly care for cats in their own homes, as this helps them stay relaxed in a familiar environment. I’m comfortable with indoor cats, outdoor cats, and multi-cat households. I aim to keep their routine as consistent as possible. My availability is flexible, and I’m reliable, respectful of your home, and committed to providing a safe and loving experience for your pets.
have always had a deep love and respect for animals, which naturally led me into pet sitting. Being around pets brings me genuine happiness, and I find it incredibly rewarding to care for them, understand their personalities, and ensure they feel safe, comfortable, and loved while their owners are away. To me, pets are family, and I take that responsibility very seriously.
Alongside caring for my own pets, I have also provided pet sitting for friends and individuals within my local area, supporting over 20 people with drop-in visits while they’ve been on holiday. This experience has allowed me to build trust with both pets and their owners, while adapting to a wide range of needs and routines.
During a typical drop-in visit, I will greet your fur baby, spend quality time with them through play and companionship, prepare and serve their meals, refresh water, clean litter trays, and administer medication if required. Most importantly, I make sure they receive plenty of attention, cuddles, and reassurance, treating every pet as if they were my own.
For dog walks, I take the time to understand your dog’s routine, preferred walking times, and favourite toys or balls. I am mindful of weather conditions, especially during hot days, and ensure walks are carried out safely and comfortably. Whether your dog enjoys a short stroll or a longer, more active walk, I tailor each outing to suit their individual needs, including visits to their favourite parks or walking routes.
I work shift patterns, which allows me to offer flexibility at different times of the day. I will always discuss my availability with you in advance and take the time to understand your pet’s routine, ensuring I can provide care at times that work best for both you and your pet.
My motivation comes from providing peace of mind to pet owners. I understand how stressful it can be to leave your pet, particularly if they have specific needs or routines. My aim is to create a calm, caring, and reliable environment where your pet feels secure and happy, giving you complete confidence while you are away.
