Are you going away but have a pet that prefers to stay in their own environment? Or perhaps you have a range of different animals and it’s not practical for you to organise for them to stay in different places? Then you might want to consider finding a Pawshake house sitter to come and stay at your Helsby home while you are away.

House sitting is a convenient and affordable option when you have multiple pets and also want your house to be securely looked after while you are away. Many of our pet sitters have very reasonable house sitting rates because they enjoy staying and exploring different local neighbourhoods like Helsby.

At Pawshake, we understand that trusting your home to a stranger can be a little daunting. So we’ve done all the hard work to ensure that your Pawshake house sitter is trustworthy and reliable. All our pet sitter profiles are checked individually by our dedicated trust and safety team and some house sitters also have their own police checks which they can share with you.

The best thing about engaging a Pawshake verified house sitter is that you can relax knowing that on top of being covered by The Pawshake Guarantee which includes veterinary coverage, so your pets are being cared for in a familiar environment and your Helsby home is also being looked after as well.

In addition to looking after your pets, most of our house sitters will happily help you by collecting your mail, taking out the bins, and watering your plants. Just make sure you discuss all your requirements with your chosen house sitter prior to booking.

I have been surounded by animals my whole life, Cats, Dogs, Horses and many more.I love working with animals, taking care of them and playing with them.I don't have space to keep any pets in my place, but I can definitely come and visit them at your place once or twice a day. I am an early starter and quite flexible with times and availability. I am happy to follow any instructions and requests you might have. In general I aim to spend some time with your furry friend and play with them if they enjoy that, feed them, cuddle them and make sure everything is clean and tidy.On Dog walks I aim to take them out for about half and hour, so they can have some time to stretch before they go back inside, happy to adjust depending on your dog's needs.Feel free to get in touch even at the last minute I might be able to help!If you are not sure you can always message me and check if I can help you out or not.Nick

Hi, I'm Sophie! I’m passionate about animals, and it shows - I practically gravitate toward them! It’s a running joke among my friends that you get no sense out of me the moment a dog is in the room . I love spending time with pets, whether it’s playing, cuddling, or simply being around them.I regularly look after friends’ dogs and have experience with a variety of breeds, personalities, and routines. One of my proudest moments is earning the trust of some of the most reactive dogs - like the adorable dachshund in my pics - which is no small feat!My motivation is simple: I know how much peace of mind it brings to leave your pet with someone you trust. I strive to provide a calm, safe, and friendly environment where your pet feels relaxed, secure, and genuinely cared for.I offer dog walking, drop-in visits, day care, and overnight sitting — all tailored to your pet’s needs. Whether it’s playtime, exercise, or just companionship, I make sure they get the attention they deserve. And of course, I’ll keep you updated with regular messages and photos so you can relax knowing your furry friend is happy and cared for

Hi! My name is Rudi, and I'm currently living in Liverpool while studying to become a vet.
My life has always revolved around animals, and I have a sincere love for pet sitting. I am aware of how crucial it is for pets to feel secure, at ease, and well-cared for while their owners are away.
Since I was young, I have had a lot of experience with animals. I have owned pets of my own and have frequently provided pet care for family members, taking care of dogs, cats, and small animals with a range of needs, routines, and temperaments. I also worked as a vet nurse for a year in a clinic before starting uni, which gave me invaluable practical experience in animal handling, health monitoring, hygiene, and client communication.
I want to give owners confidence and peace of mind that their pets are in safe, knowledgeable hands.
Being at uni, I don't really have many opportunities to be around pets day to day (on the non vet side of things!), so pet sitting allows me to spend time with animals while providing them with attentive, high-quality care.

Hello! We are Michelle and Leon from Cheshire in the UK. Michelle is 43 and Leon is 51 and we have been together for 18 years and married for just over 15 years. Leon has 2 grown up children that lived with us full time but have now left home and we have a gorgeous 10 year old grandson and a baby granddaughter. We have had cats, dogs, rabbits and fish in the past but our dog passed away several years ago and due to work we didn't feel it fair to get anymore pets and leave them home alone. We both currently work remotely selling digital invitations on Etsy and therefore have the flexibility to travel as we can work from anywhere as long as we have WiFi. House and pet sitting works great for us and allows us to visit new areas and also get our pet fix. Last year we worked on a campsite in Northumberland at wardens and part of our job included looking after a Donkey, Shetland Pony, 3 Alpacas, 2 Kunekune Pigs, 2 Goats, 2 rabbits, 2 Guinea pigs and Chickens. We also completed a housesit last year looking after 4 dogs, 4 pigs, chickens and ducks so we are very comfortable with a mixture of animals. Leon's brother also breeds dogs and we have house sat for them numerous of times looking after a minimum of 6 dogs at a time, the most has been 6 adult dogs and 12 puppies. We share a love for travel, nature and animals and enjoy meeting new people and experiencing new cultures and things to do. We are flexible on location and happy to travel throughout the UK. We enjoy long walks, bike rides and kayaking but also enjoy a nice casual walk around a country house and gardens as we are members of the National Trust. Being National Trust members we do like to take the dogs we look after on days out with us.We would look after your pets as if they were our own.

Hi, my name is Ching Man, I am now a cat owner. I also have experience keeping doggy, hamster and aquarium fish since I was young. I love animals so much! The experience living with multiple cats let me know that pets can have very different personalities even though they grow up together. That could have many ways to built a good relationship with your pet, so it is important to let me how your pet is. I can understand pet owners have reasons that can't take the pets with them all the journey, so I provided door to door services including feeding, cleaning, game time, dog walking and feeding medicines if needed. Giving them love and care. Of course I will provide you photos and videos during sitting. I am base in Warrington and also happy to serve the area : Widnes, Runcorn, Partington, St. Helens....Feel free to ask more about me :DUnfortunately, I live in flat and already have one cat, l can't keep another one because that may cause my cat stressful.Language : Chinese, English At least 1 hour per visit 30 minutes per walking

I offer 30 minute walks. These can be solo walks or with dogs from the same household (maximum 4). I do also offer walks round the local area if preferred.

I offer on and off lead walks for all my clients. All dogs require good recall skills to be eligible for off lead play. This ensures the dogs safety at all times. I offer recall/whistle training during all my walks! As they say . "Practice makes perfect" and as a dog owner myself, I believe recall is one of the most vital training skills to ensure dogs keep away from any danger such as moving cars , other dogs which may not be friendly and other situations which could put them at risk️ All pet owners will be asked for the "recall word/method"

️ All pet owners will be asked whether there is anything their pooch may be wary of, such as loud noises,cats/other animals etc. This will allow me to select areas where I believe the dog would thrive and enjoy.
