Top cities for house sitting in United Kingdom

Are you going away but have a pet that prefers to stay in their own environment? Or perhaps you have a range of different animals and it’s not practical for you to organise for them to stay in different places? Then you might want to consider finding a Pawshake house sitter to come and stay at your Hitchin home while you are away.

House sitting is a convenient and affordable option when you have multiple pets and also want your house to be securely looked after while you are away. Many of our pet sitters have very reasonable house sitting rates because they enjoy staying and exploring different local neighbourhoods like Hitchin.

At Pawshake, we understand that trusting your home to a stranger can be a little daunting. So we’ve done all the hard work to ensure that your Pawshake house sitter is trustworthy and reliable. All our pet sitter profiles are checked individually by our dedicated trust and safety team and some house sitters also have their own police checks which they can share with you.

The best thing about engaging a Pawshake verified house sitter is that you can relax knowing that on top of being covered by The Pawshake Guarantee which includes veterinary coverage, so your pets are being cared for in a familiar environment and your Hitchin home is also being looked after as well.

In addition to looking after your pets, most of our house sitters will happily help you by collecting your mail, taking out the bins, and watering your plants. Just make sure you discuss all your requirements with your chosen house sitter prior to booking.

To work with animals has always been a huge goalof mine, thinking of becoming a vet was a first on my list but, I cannot dealwith blood or anything to do with the anatomy so that wasn't an option (pleasenote, if your pet is in a medical emergency, blood is the last thing on mymind. These animals are like my own and I will forever treat them like this, their health and welfare come before any rational fear).Working in a zoo was my next possibility, although none were close to my homeor my family, I also needed a 10 year+ degree, not just experience. My third option was this... And can I say, I have not ONCE regretted mydecision. Working with all these beautiful pets, watching how happy and lovedthey are, including those who care for wildlife out of their own hearts. The dedication and love I put into this 'job' is so fulfilling to not justmyself, but the clients I have and the pets they own. Please read mytestimonials, all about Me's or ask for references for proof of this.A true animal lover, whether big or small, I will love and work with them all. They are my passion, my life, my world but NEVER my 'job'. It's not something I'have' to do, but something I 'love' to do! Let me show you. I have volunteeredat farms, zoos, rescue centres and much more to get the knowledge of over 10years, to which I still know today.I have raised/rehabilitated over 30+ wild animals that were either abandoned orinjured. I stayed up throughout the night doing feeds, medications and so muchmore to get them in the best health they could be, to be free and happy.

Hi, we’re Gina & Ria - a mother & daughter cat-sitting duo.
We unintentionally fell into the wonderfully rewarding world of pet-sitting, after selling all our possessions to become digital nomads in June 2022.
We set off for what has been one of the best adventures of our lives, spending time in Thailand, Vietnam, Mauritius, Malaysia & the Canary Islands.
Last year we joined a housesit site and have fallen in love with so many cats that we are now completely hooked.
Gina is a retired teacher, author of 3 poetry and 1 short story book and a Happiness Coach.
Ria is an Empath coach, meditation teacher and Emotional Freedom Technique practitioner.
We are both vegan, animal lovers and reiki practitioners. We are often told by our clients that our great energy has a positive and calming effect on their kitties.
Two of our greatest loves are cats and travel.
That’s why it’s so important to us that your kitties receive all the love and stability they need whilst your away.
We understand that every cat is different and has it’s own personality, preferences and set of needs. Consequently we take the time to understand your cats unique needs so that we can tailor our approach and ensure your cats receive their upmost emotional and physical comfort.
We want you to be able to enjoy your time away knowing that your home and cat/s are being well taken care of.
We usually send daily updates, photos and videos so you can see your kitties are settled and happy.
