Top cities for house sitting in United Kingdom

Are you going away but have a pet that prefers to stay in their own environment? Or perhaps you have a range of different animals and it’s not practical for you to organise for them to stay in different places? Then you might want to consider finding a Pawshake house sitter to come and stay at your Horsham home while you are away.

House sitting is a convenient and affordable option when you have multiple pets and also want your house to be securely looked after while you are away. Many of our pet sitters have very reasonable house sitting rates because they enjoy staying and exploring different local neighbourhoods like Horsham.

At Pawshake, we understand that trusting your home to a stranger can be a little daunting. So we’ve done all the hard work to ensure that your Pawshake house sitter is trustworthy and reliable. All our pet sitter profiles are checked individually by our dedicated trust and safety team and some house sitters also have their own police checks which they can share with you.

The best thing about engaging a Pawshake verified house sitter is that you can relax knowing that on top of being covered by The Pawshake Guarantee which includes veterinary coverage, so your pets are being cared for in a familiar environment and your Horsham home is also being looked after as well.

In addition to looking after your pets, most of our house sitters will happily help you by collecting your mail, taking out the bins, and watering your plants. Just make sure you discuss all your requirements with your chosen house sitter prior to booking.

Hello, my name is Debs and I have recently moved to Wivelsfield Green. I work in children services I have always had cats and I don't think my home would be complete without one.I am trusted to care for friends and neighbours cats when they go away and I love giving cuddles, food and treats and having a play, but of course this is always on their terms.I would also be happy to feed chickens, hamsters, rabbits, fish etc but not lizards or snakes To put your mind at ease I can send you updates and pictures while you are away.I am looking for occasional work near to where I live so that I can get to know people in the area and start to feel more at home in West-Sussex. I am available 7 days a week, booking from 7am to 8pm. Can work outside these hours but would charge a little extra.I am DBS (police checked) with no convictions and am fully trustworthy. I am happy to come and feed your pets whenever you need extra help. I'm also happy to turn lights on and off,put bins out, pull curtains and water your plants.I can stay for as long as your cat needs me, perhaps they like to play and be groomed and i'm happy to do this, I will be guided by them. An average time would be 20 minutes, but will stay up to 40 minutes if that's what your pet would like.Hopefully you will consider me the next time you are looking for someone to take care of your cat or other pets. . I am a part time teacher and live in Burgess Hill with my 24 year old daughter and our beautiful cat Pennie.

I'm Amey, I'm 32 and live in Haywards Heath with my partner and bunny rabbit, Lavender.
I've always loved being around animals and have a strong passion for animal welfare.
I have training in canine and feline behaviour and love expanding my knowledge learning about animals!
I have been lucky enough to experience working with animals at a rescue centre, a dairy farm and through dog walking. I also volunteer every year with a local toad patrol.
I'm so excited to start this journey and meet your gorgeous pets!
I can offer -
30 minute, 60 minute and 90 minute solo walks (with the exception of dogs from the same household)
Pet check ins at your home, this may include: feeding and providing fresh water, enrichment activities, playing in the garden, puppy training, cuddles and administrating medication.
Overnight stays at your home, this ensures your animals feel safe and comfortable within a familiar environment and a predictable routine.

My name is Kasey, I am 19 years old and I'm looking to do some pet sitting in my free time as I love animals.
At home I have 2 black cats named Fluffy and Ludo, a yorkie mix named Buster, and a blue budgie named Thorne.
I'm passionate about looking after your furry friends as they deserve a friend too. When you're busy, I am confident I will become a great friend to your companion. I have experience with big breeds as my sister has a Cane Corso who I walk and pet sitting regularly.
I also have experience with reactive dogs, as my own dog Buster is reactive with other dogs as well as humans (he's a lone wolf!). As Buster is reactive, I am currently unable to have your pets at my own home.
I also have had budgies, hamsters, a gecko and pet fish in the past. I have experience looking after a range of animals and I am happy to receive any questions to ensure I am the right pick for your pet.
I am reliable and confident around pets and am available to help whenever you need. I am adaptable and have experience with older and disabled anim as well.
I am confident that whoever your dog is, we will get on very well and I look forward to meeting you and your furry friends!

Hi,
My name is Nadia Murray and I am a mother of 2 lovely teenagers. I work remotely as a Solutions Architect for an Insurance company and I truly love spending time with animals!
I have had pets all my life. Bunnies, chickens, guinea pigs, hamsters, fish, dogs and cats, and cannot imagine a life without pets in it!
I believe that it is so important for my children to grow up in a house where they have always had animals to love and care for.
(I also love horses and still try to ride whenever I get the opportunity to)
We have a 4 year old Bearded Collie called Coco who just loves walks and ball throws, and 2 cats called Shadow and Fudge who loves to sleep and cuddle next to me whilst I am working.
All creatures big and small will be treated responsibly, with love and understanding. You can rest assured that your pet(s) will be happy and secure under my care.
Best regards,
Nadia

Hello, my name is Esther, I live in Sussex, England and absolutely love dogs and all kinds of animals! I actually went to a secondary school with a farm and even took a course in animal care with a distinction grade result! Animals are my passion and I like to have a respectful approach to all animals of all temperaments, with full awareness that some animals are more timid than others, it would be my joy to look after an animal of yours and also look after your house whilst you are away, I can also water plants and keep everything in line whilst you are gone! I am a pet owner myself and have had rodents, and currently have two lovely bunnies and a cat whom I absolutely adore, I really love the presence of Dogs and am really looking forward to owning my own in the future!! It would be a real privilege to look after your dog whilst you are away and I would 100% treat him/ her like my own ️. I can walk, feed, and care for any kind of dog. As well as house-sitting.

..and, apart of loving animals 24/7, I'm a professional (an engineer), lucky enough to work remotely. I decided to combine flexibility at work with passion for taking care of pets. Could there be anything better than this? :)
I'm a very responsible and tidy person. I have my own flat, so I know how important is to take care of the property and how great it is, when others respect it as well.
I can promise, that I absolutely love animals and you can be assured I will take care of your pet as of my own :). All I need to know is, what they usually like to do, what's their routine, dietary requirements etc.
I have experience taking care of various animals, including dogs, cats, guinea pigs, rabbits, chickens, llamas and alpacas :)) . My parents used to have goats, and small African pigs which I can certainly add to my experience list! Currently, I cannot have a pet on my own and I'm dying to take care of some. So please, don't hesitate to contact me!
If that's of any help, apart of English, I speak fluently Spanish and Polish. I am also great at taking care of the plants.
I might ask you sometimes to have my partner with me, for the overnight stays.

Hello everyone,I am Zsuzsi, 23, I moved to Reigate recently and to fill out my free time wisely I would love to accompany your four legged friends when you can't be there for them.I always dreamt about having a dog as a kid and I can say I was lucky to have one when I was around 14. I still have her, a real love package, unfortunately due to my move she had to stay with my family for now.I had her as a baby and I put a lot of effort in training her so if you'd like to have some help in that field, I also can help with that.I'd love to take your dog for a nice walk, or just play with them, take care of them while you can't.Feel free to reach out to me, and plan a get to know meet up, and discuss how can I help you:)I am mostly available in Reigate or in the area, my availability may vary in accordance with my work schedule. If we find we're suitable for eachother I'm happy to schedule regular walks just as well only occasional ones. I can stay for one (or if is necessary for a few) nights in your home, looking after your pets, or just popping in to feed them/playing with them!
