Hi, my name is Julia and I am a vet student, which means I love animals so much I've decided to dedicate my professional life to them.Unfortunately, I can't have a pet on my own right now and I really miss having around me a cute floof with waggy tail, so I have decided that Pawshake could be a great way to make some new 4-legged friends while helping their owners at the same time. My schedule is quite flexible at the moment, so whether you need me to look after your pet in the morning or in the afternoon/evening, I can probably accomodate that.I have plenty of experience with dogs of different sizes, breeds and characters - with walking, dog-sitting and even agility training. I also have some experience with cats, mostly from volunteering in a shelter.&nbsp;I offer dog walking, drop in visits as well as house sitting. To make sure your pet knows me and is comfortable with me, I will arrange a meeting with you prior to taking care of your pet, during which I will ask you all about them and their preferences. This is to ensure your pet has the best time possible with me :)If I am taking your dog for a walk, I will ask you about the usual route and length of the walk, to make sure they get as much movement as they are used to. I will also ask about their social behaviour with other dogs, but also with people. When it comes to house visits, I am quite flexible and will tailor the service to what your pet needs. We can agree beforehand on how I should spend my time with them, for example if they should be let out to potty, fed or just cuddled for a bit. If needed, I am able to administer oral medications as well as injections. If we agree on house sitting, I will ask you about the typical day of your pet when you are at home and try to recreate that routine as much as possible to give them the sense of safety. I will be able to spend with them majority of the day, so I am sure they won't be lonely. I have always been an animal lover, having grown up with dogs all my life and having worked at a refuge for cats and dogs in Greece run by my uncle. I have a natural affinity with animals and am very patient and caring. Having lifelong experience of looking after dogs, I am able to keep control of them during walks without resorting to shouting, and am very aware of the specific needs of different types of dog, whether that be lengths of walks or quantities of food. I have also looked after friends' cats while they've been away, and love to play with them and keep them company! I offer discount for leith residents as I add travel cost into prices,&nbsp;but as a leith local, if you live 20 minutes or less walking you get a sweet discount.I can walk your dog as long as needed as i know different breeds of dogs need longer and shorter, i can walk 2 pully small/medium dogs at a time or 3 small/medium behaved dogs at a time. I offer HOME VISITS AROUND LEITH AND EDINBURGH CITY AREA ONLY, as I use public transport. 
Im a 5 minute walk to leith links and various other parks and I have experience with pets on public transport so I have taken pets to the beach for a good run around.In December of 2020 I graduated from Leeds Art University with a bachelors in photography so you are guaranteed amazing pics of your babies but currently I am working full-time 9-5 Tuesday to Saturday soy schedule is a little busy but I'll always make time.
I also have experience with medium and large dogs having had a dalmation, boxer, and lurcher growing up. I currently owning 2 incredibly bouncy cocker spaniels. the 2 terriers are very good when I walk them but the spaniels are very difficult dogs so I know how to keep control of bouncy babies.&nbsp;
I do have a police security check that I am happy to show. obtaining it when I was supposed to work at summer camp in the US before covid got too out of hand.&nbsp;
I don't drive however I am within walking distance from parks and the oceanfront.&nbsp;
