Top cities for house sitting in United Kingdom

Are you going away but have a pet that prefers to stay in their own environment? Or perhaps you have a range of different animals and it’s not practical for you to organise for them to stay in different places? Then you might want to consider finding a Pawshake house sitter to come and stay at your Loudwater home while you are away.

House sitting is a convenient and affordable option when you have multiple pets and also want your house to be securely looked after while you are away. Many of our pet sitters have very reasonable house sitting rates because they enjoy staying and exploring different local neighbourhoods like Loudwater.

At Pawshake, we understand that trusting your home to a stranger can be a little daunting. So we’ve done all the hard work to ensure that your Pawshake house sitter is trustworthy and reliable. All our pet sitter profiles are checked individually by our dedicated trust and safety team and some house sitters also have their own police checks which they can share with you.

The best thing about engaging a Pawshake verified house sitter is that you can relax knowing that on top of being covered by The Pawshake Guarantee which includes veterinary coverage, so your pets are being cared for in a familiar environment and your Loudwater home is also being looked after as well.

In addition to looking after your pets, most of our house sitters will happily help you by collecting your mail, taking out the bins, and watering your plants. Just make sure you discuss all your requirements with your chosen house sitter prior to booking.

I grew up on a small farm, where I was responsible for looking after dogs, cats, chickens, and rabbits. This taught me from an early age how to care for animals with love and dedication.
To refresh my knowledge and ensure I provide the best possible care, I have completed a Pet Sitting and Dog Walking diploma & Pet First Aid Course.
I've always had a deep love for animals, especially dogs. After some time away from regularly being around them, I realized how much I missed that special connection. Becoming a pet sitter felt like the perfect way to reconnect with that joy—while also helping others care for their beloved pets I am a responsible, caring, and reliable pet sitter who treats every animal as if they were my own.
I am working from home, twice per week 2-3 hours online. This means I have plenty of free time and flexibility in my schedule to provide dedicated, reliable care for your pets.

Animals have been at the heart of my life for as long as I can remember. Animal welfare and safety are core values for me, supported by my BSc in Wildlife Ecology and Conservation Science. I’ve shared my life with dogs, cats, and a variety of small pets, and I’m also an experienced equestrian.

Professionally, I have experience running my own pet care business, completing a year of veterinary nurse training, and I’m certified in canine and feline first aid. I also have hands-on experience caring for rescue animals and nervous dogs, ensuring they feel safe, calm, and loved. I pride myself on being honest, trustworthy, and reliable, always following care instructions to the letter.

I have worked with animals of all ages, from energetic youngsters to elderly pets with complex needs. My late cat, Tigger, was diabetic and high-maintenance, and caring for him taught me that nothing is too much when it comes to their wellbeing.

I genuinely love every animal as if they were my own and will provide the same level of care, attention, and affection to your furry family member. I can’t wait to meet them!

Are you seeking a reliable and passionate companion for your furry friend? I'm here to help! I have always had a passion for all animals and have always felt drawn to them. It's a privilege to share companionship with your beloved pets, and I'm excited to meet your fur babies!
I'm currently in my final year of studying to become a therapist and have been able to look after pets in my spare time alongside studying. This flexible schedule allows me to dedicate quality time to your dogs, treating each one as if they were my own.
I specialise in caring for small to medium-sized dogs offering services such as dog walking and drop-in visits where I will play with your pup, give access to the toilet and provide them with food and water. I'm happy to change puppy mats for puppies! I will usually stay with pets for up to two hours per visit but can stay longer if required. Dog walks can range from 15-45 min walks. You can let me know if there's a preferred area that you would like your dog to be walked. I'm understanding of different dogs' temperaments and comfortability around other dogs, so if your dog prefers a more secluded areas I will always do my best to accommodate that.
I would also be happy to consider overnight boarding in your home, grooming services and administering medication upon request. My approach combines enthusiasm with responsibility, ensuring your dog receives the attention and care they deserve.
I am usually available on most weekdays from 9am - 7pm. Please note I may charge a travel fee depending on location.
If you have any questions or want to learn more, please feel free to send me a message. I'm looking forward to meeting you and your canine companion!

Dear pet owners, I'm Jen, 31, and have over 20 years of experience with dogs and cats. I have been an animal lover for as long as I can remember. Having had my own family dog as a child and spending a total of 6 months in various dog/cat shelters over the last four years has given me a broad knowledge of dogs and cats of all sizes and breeds and how to care for them, feed them, administer medication, etc. Helping out at the dog shelter is a passion of mine and I want to help and care for animals wherever I can.
I offer individual and loving care as well as home visits to feed, clean the cat litter tray, walk the dog, play with your pet, give them cuddles and more. On request, overnight stays or multi-day care at your home are also possible, with regular updates and photos. Short-term bookings are also possible. I look forward to hearing from you and getting to know you and your pet!

Hello,
I’m from France and arrived in the UK four years ago.
I grew up in a house with two cats and eight dogs (Boxers, Akitas, Great Danes)—yes, the dogs drove the cats crazy, and I loved them to bits. I grew up adapting to the needs of my different pets. Garfield and Felix (one Bengal and one Siamese) had very different personalities, but they still loved playing with me. Whilst with my dogs, I used to play soccer, walked on the park, taught them commands, brushed them.
With both my cats and dogs, I love doing cognitive training with them. So they are no bored and are always learning.
I’m adaptable to your cat’s or dog's personality and needs - they are all different and, therefore, need more cuddling or more space, more hunting or agility games. I’ll make sure that what they need is what they get. :)
I can walk them, the length will depend on their age and their size and lengthier walks I'll do it in the end of afternoon, there are 3 forest and parks near me. I'll brush them and I can continue practicing any command you're training them to follow, I can come middays, afternoons and evenings.
For your peace of mind, I’ll send videos and update you at every visit so you can enjoy your time out, knowing your cat is happy and cared for. That’s what I want for my cat Mia
If you'd like me to house sit, I can for up to 3 days and water the plants. I'll follow your security measures during house sitting.

I have 4 years house and petsitting experience with young and older dogs. I have an up to date DBS as I currently work a part time careworker. I have more than 40 years as a pet owner including caring for senior dogs. I grew up surrounded by cats and dogs. My motto: "A home is not a home without pets". Dogs I have owned include a Staffordshire named Queenie, who lived 12 years and then rescue Daschunds, Cheeky (13 years) and Molly, who had cancer. We also had a mixed Scotty- Staffy named Nicky who was 15 years old. Cats who were my boss, include Moeshie and Kitsie, a ginger cat, who loved her food and Mishy who is 12 years old.I have references from regular pet and housesits in Maidenhead, Berkshire. One regular client had 4 rescued Daschunds. When I do a housesit, I care for your home, garden and pets, 24/7, go on walks, play tug of war games, throw tennis ball and I have loads of love to give. I also cook special vet approved meals for dogs, for example chicken fillets, carrots and rice.

With 22 years of experience growing up around a range of house pets (Dogs, Cats, Hamsters) and a small stint at BCA college doing an animal management course, has made me find a passion for caring for animals and I find myself wanting to make a switch into the animal care industry.
I'd like to build some experience through this as well some customer relations with the services I offer. I hope to have reoccurring customers that can entrust their animals to me on a weekly/monthly basis.

What I offer?
I currently only offer dog walking to help me build some experience. (My planned routes currently are - Burnham Beeches, Kennedy Park Fields, Burnham Village Fields, Baylis Court Fields. Other routes can be worked out if the distance is too far between)
I do later plan to do home stays and possibly some training sessions once I get my footing.

Why me?
* I have planned local routes safe for your dog to explore.
* I've got prior experience walking my own personal dogs as well as other friend's dogs. The largest dog being a border collie.
* I can make a care plan based on your dog's needs if necessary. (information will be needed)
* Fast and Reliable responses and can update you on your dog if needed.

In Emergencies!
I currently cannot drive and am working on getting my license. If your dog suffers from any diseases that need treatment please notify me in the booking, i will try to accommodate to their needs. In the event I cannot meet their needs a cancellation of your booking may take effect.
In the event your dog suffers any injuries or suddenly requires veterinary treatment, you will be contacted as well as your registered vet. I will do everything in my power to get attention to your animal to prevent any unwanted mishaps.
