Are you going away but have a pet that prefers to stay in their own environment? Or perhaps you have a range of different animals and it’s not practical for you to organise for them to stay in different places? Then you might want to consider finding a Pawshake house sitter to come and stay at your Motherwell home while you are away.

House sitting is a convenient and affordable option when you have multiple pets and also want your house to be securely looked after while you are away. Many of our pet sitters have very reasonable house sitting rates because they enjoy staying and exploring different local neighbourhoods like Motherwell.

At Pawshake, we understand that trusting your home to a stranger can be a little daunting. So we’ve done all the hard work to ensure that your Pawshake house sitter is trustworthy and reliable. All our pet sitter profiles are checked individually by our dedicated trust and safety team and some house sitters also have their own police checks which they can share with you.

The best thing about engaging a Pawshake verified house sitter is that you can relax knowing that on top of being covered by The Pawshake Guarantee which includes veterinary coverage, so your pets are being cared for in a familiar environment and your Motherwell home is also being looked after as well.

In addition to looking after your pets, most of our house sitters will happily help you by collecting your mail, taking out the bins, and watering your plants. Just make sure you discuss all your requirements with your chosen house sitter prior to booking.

I have always had a deep love and respect for animals, which is what inspired me to become a pet sitter. Growing up, I had dogs that taught me responsibility, patience, and just how much joy pets bring to our lives. Today, I’m the proud owner of a beautiful boy cat who keeps me company and reminds me daily of the unconditional love animals give.

Over the years, I’ve cared for pets belonging to family, friends, and neighbors, and each experience has strengthened my passion for ensuring animals feel safe, loved, and happy when their owners can’t be around. As a pet sitter, I understand how important it is for owners to trust the person caring for their furry family members.

I’m comfortable with feeding routines, walks, playtime, and providing lots of affection. For everyone’s safety, I only welcome vaccinated pets into my home. Your pets will be treated like my own—with kindness, patience, and genuine love.

Pet Profile

I've had dogs all my life, mostly Rottweilers and my last one went torainbow bridge three years ago. My heart isn't ready for another true love, butfriends kept asking me to dog sit for them. I was flattered that they trustedme with their fur baby, and it turned out to be the start of a wee business.
I only take one dog at a time so they can feel safe and loved withoutany threat from other dogs being there. If you have more than one dog and it'sfrom the same household that's not a problem.
**Some notes:**
· I've been sitting dogs for the past three years and some of those dogs have boarded three times now.
· I live across from Tollcross park, where they go for their walks, around 1.5 hours in the morning, 45minlate afternoon and 30min late evening.
· I work from home (self-employed), so I'll be there with them pretty much all the time.
· I would suggest a meet up or even a sleepover first. This is free of charge and a great way for us to get toknow each other
· I'm happy to give medication and follow your routine
· References are available
And finally...
Pick me and I guarantee your dog will have a ball.
**Please Note**
 I can’t take the following:
Dogs that continuously bark (I’m in a flat)
Dogs that struggle to go up and downstairs (I’m on the second floor)
Dogs that are aggressive to other dogs

 **Cat Owners**
I’ve also hadcats all my life and board them too. At one point I had five ex feral cats thatfound me and they lived into their twenties. I had a Rottie too and he wasbottom of the pack!
Recently, I hadmy dad’s two cats live with me, in the flat I’m in now. They were verycomfortable, lounging around, hiding in wee places and being entertained by thebird station at my window, the dangling toys in the doorways and other toys.
I supply a littertray, litter, toys and bowls. All you need to bring is kitty and food.

A cat mum myself, I know how important it is to find a trustworthy catsitter – and I can't wait to be that person for you!
I am a freelance translator and subtitler based in the Gorbals, and the work flexibility makes it relatively easy for me to travel to my clients. I love cycling and running. Sometimes I feed two cats with one bowl and opt to cycle or run to my cat sitting appointments!
In my free time, I like to try out vegan recipes, make my own clothes and embroider.
I have two boy cats myself, and it seems I make a pretty good pillow for them. I love giving my furry clients cuddles and playing with them.
I think it's very important to offer services that allign with owners' needs and care routine. That's why I'll only ever give your cat treats if you're happy with me doing that. I can also groom your cat if you need me to (claw cutting and brushing).

I'm an established cat sitter in the southside of Glasgow. I've built trust with scores of cat owners in my local area and a top rating on Cat in a [link hidden]
I work for a charity and I'm entirely home-based so I have a lot of flexibility to spend time with your cat on their terms.
I spend time to get to know your cat - tell me everything! Favourite toys, favourite treats, favourite scratch spots, I learn about your pet and enjoy their qurks.
On a regular visit, I'll clean their feeding station, make sure it's neat and appealing, give food and fresh water, clean litter trays, and spend some quality time playing or cuddling.
I'd often take a meeting on the go or spend an hour doing some emails from your home if I sense the cat would enjoy it.
I have experience with medication administration, older cats and timid pets as well.
PLEASE let me know if you've got home cameras. I've noticed this is getting more and more popular and as much as I respect your choice, I should also have the choice to know when I'm being filmed. So let's talk about it :-)

Hi! I'm a responsible and experienced pet sitter—and a dedicated student currently living between Glasgow and Dundee. I’ve cared for a wide variety of animals including cats, dogs, rabbits, hamsters, guinea pigs, fish, chickens, parrots, African snails, and bearded dragons. I’m also completely comfortable around horses, tarantulas, reptiles and rodents, even if I haven’t petsat all of them yet, I’m confident and calm with any animal.Although I love every animal and can care for any type, Cats are my specialty!I’ve been around animals my whole life, but cats have always been my favourite and my passion since I was a baby. I currently have several of my own who have grown up alongside me since I was a kid, my oldest is 14 and the youngest is 5. I've raised kittens, cared for elderly cats, and looked after pregnant cats and newborns. One of my most meaningful experiences was rescuing a tiny kitten named Axel when I was a young teenager. He was only 3 weeks old, being wrongly sold as a 9-week-old. I bottle-fed him around the clock until he could eat on his own, and the bond we share is one of a kind thanks to this.As a student, I’m highly organised and fully committed to everything I do. If you choose me to care for your pet, you can rest assured your furry (or scaly, or feathery!) family member will be in the best of hands, loved, safe, and well cared for.I treat every animal like my own, with patience, affection, and close attention to their individual needs and routines. Whether your pet loves cuddles, playtime, or quiet company, I’ll tailor my care to match their personality.Have experience with rescue and ill animals so understand if your pet has certain needs or need medication administered. Can walk your dog the daily around your preferred area or local to my area, on the weekends I usually walk around broughty ferry for 2 hours if not more and would love to have a walking buddy on my walks if the route isn't too long for your pup. Flexible with dog walking schedules, I'm more than happy to walk early in th morning or in the late evening as well if there's already a walking schedule your dog follows. Not to worry if your pup needs a long walk/run for exercise or simply just for fresh air and to take care of their business I'll make sure our walks are fit for them and their needs. For house/petsitting I'll make sure your pets needs are catered and looked after and I'm also available daily for visits.Languages:Fluent in English and Italian

I’m a big animal lover with a soft spot for both cats and dogs. I didn’t get the chance to have pets growing up due to family reasons, so I really value any time I get to spend with them now. Being a pet sitter is a great way for me to do something I genuinely enjoy while helping owners feel at ease.
I’m friendly, patient, and easygoing, and I try to make every pet feel comfortable and cared for. I understand that each animal has its own personality, whether they’re playful and energetic or more quiet and independent.
I have experience looking after my partner’s cat and dogs, including feeding, walking, and spending time with them. I’ve also done dog walking before, so I’m confident handling dogs outside.
I’d treat every pet like my own and make sure they feel safe, happy, and well looked after :)

Hello, I'm Kitty I live in a very spacious apartment in Leith with a gated courtyard and a nice patch of grass next door.
I offer discount for leith residents as I add travel cost into prices, but as a leith local, if you live 20 minutes or less walking you get a sweet discount.I can walk your dog as long as needed as i know different breeds of dogs need longer and shorter, i can walk 2 pully small/medium dogs at a time or 3 small/medium behaved dogs at a time. I offer HOME VISITS AROUND LEITH AND EDINBURGH CITY AREA ONLY, as I use public transport.
Im a 5 minute walk to leith links and various other parks and I have experience with pets on public transport so I have taken pets to the beach for a good run around. In December of 2020 I graduated from Leeds Art University with a bachelors in photography so you are guaranteed amazing pics of your babies but currently I am working full-time 9-5 Tuesday to Saturday soy schedule is a little busy but I'll always make time.
I also have experience with medium and large dogs having had a dalmation, boxer, and lurcher growing up. I currently owning 2 incredibly bouncy cocker spaniels. the 2 terriers are very good when I walk them but the spaniels are very difficult dogs so I know how to keep control of bouncy babies.
I do have a police security check that I am happy to show. obtaining it when I was supposed to work at summer camp in the US before covid got too out of hand.
I don't drive however I am within walking distance from parks and the oceanfront.
I want to do this because I love animals and my house isn't big enough to look after all of them at once.

I have always been an animal lover, having grown up with dogs all my life and having worked at a refuge for cats and dogs in Greece run by my uncle. I have a natural affinity with animals and am very patient and caring. Having lifelong experience of looking after dogs, I am able to keep control of them during walks without resorting to shouting, and am very aware of the specific needs of different types of dog, whether that be lengths of walks or quantities of food. I have also looked after friends' cats while they've been away, and love to play with them and keep them company! I am currently unable to look after pets in my flat as my flatmates suffer from allergies, and so I would love the chance to walk, look after and hang out with dogs and cats whenever possible. cats and dogs of all dispositions welcome!
