Hello! My name is Maiia, and I’m a animal lover with a deep commitment to caring for pets of all kind and size. I am confident caring for aging pets, pets with special need or requiring medical support, have experience in international pet transferring and organising logistics.Most meaningful experiences in my life was in Sweden during the Ukrainian refugee crisis. I supported families in distress arriving with pets who required mandatory medical checkup and often assistance, helping organise and provide it, as well as assisting in housing, legal support and humanitarian necessities. In my life I cared for 80+ pets (dogs, cats, turtles, hamsters, snakes, etc.), trained basics for puppies and older dogs, groomed pets, assisted with veterinary appointments, accompanied families before, during and after surgical operations, performed medical support treatments (including injections) and even supported the delivery of six puppies in a dormitory I was managing at that time. Knowing that first of these puppies was named after me still warms my heart today. From a young age, I’ve grown up surrounded by cats and dogs, learning to understand their unique personalities, moods, and needs. Spending time with animals brings me genuine joy, and I love creating a safe, nurturing, and playful environment where they feel loved, comfortable and supported.  
My experience with pets strengthened my patience, attention to detail, and ability to stay calm in crisis situations, while taking responsibility for sorting them out. So a little about me, I’m a nurse in the emergency department of a large hospital. I have a DBS check along with first aid. I am trustworthy, caring, reliable and flexible. 
I am looking to dog, cat and bunny sit as I miss having pets. I live in a rented home and not allowed pets  I have had dogs in my family for over 20 years and were very much part of the family. I miss having cuddles, walking and generally having a pet. I will treat your pets as if they were my own. There is no better greeting than a wagging tail or little purrrr coming up to saying hello when you enter. 
I am also happy to feed fish, water plants and giving medication (but not injections). I will send dog/kitty updates to make sure your not worrying whilst your away.

A typical day
A typical day with me is centred around keeping your pet active, comfortable, and mentally stimulated. I offer one to two walks per day, tailored to your dog’s needs, whether that’s exploring local woodlands, enjoying the beach, or visiting nearby parks.Alongside exercise, I include plenty of games and enrichment activities to keep pets engaged and prevent boredom. Back at home, I focus on maintaining a calm, safe, and familiar environment, giving your pet plenty of attention, companionship, and routine.During pet sits, I provide a home-from-home experience and am happy to share my space (and even my bed) to ensure your pet feels secure and relaxed. I’m confident working with a wide range of species, with particular experience in caring for reptiles—especially snakes—so every pet is in knowledgeable and capable hands.
