Top cities for house sitting in United Kingdom

Are you going away but have a pet that prefers to stay in their own environment? Or perhaps you have a range of different animals and it’s not practical for you to organise for them to stay in different places? Then you might want to consider finding a Pawshake house sitter to come and stay at your Netley home while you are away.

House sitting is a convenient and affordable option when you have multiple pets and also want your house to be securely looked after while you are away. Many of our pet sitters have very reasonable house sitting rates because they enjoy staying and exploring different local neighbourhoods like Netley.

At Pawshake, we understand that trusting your home to a stranger can be a little daunting. So we’ve done all the hard work to ensure that your Pawshake house sitter is trustworthy and reliable. All our pet sitter profiles are checked individually by our dedicated trust and safety team and some house sitters also have their own police checks which they can share with you.

The best thing about engaging a Pawshake verified house sitter is that you can relax knowing that on top of being covered by The Pawshake Guarantee which includes veterinary coverage, so your pets are being cared for in a familiar environment and your Netley home is also being looked after as well.

In addition to looking after your pets, most of our house sitters will happily help you by collecting your mail, taking out the bins, and watering your plants. Just make sure you discuss all your requirements with your chosen house sitter prior to booking.

Hi! I’m a lifelong animal lover who’s been raising dogs since I was 14—now 25 and still completely obsessed with all things furry (and feathery!). Back home in Myanmar, I had a Golden Retriever, Husky, and Poodle, and I miss them every day.
I’ve also cared for cats, birds, hamsters—even a rabbit or two! Being around animals makes me feel at home, and I’d love to turn that passion into something meaningful while I’m here. Whether it’s walks, cuddles, or just being their new best friend, your pets are in loving hands with me!
With me, your pet gets more than just a walk—they get a buddy! I offer fun, safe dog walks, playtime, feeding, cuddles, and care A typical day includes tail wags, fetch marathons, sniff-and-stroll adventures, and lots of belly rubs.I treat every pet like my own whether we’re chasing a ball or just chilling together. Basically, I show up, your pet lights up. Let’s be furry friends!

Hello! We're Kez and James, a young couple married for just over two years with a shared passion for animals and travel. We love discovering new places while caring for pets as if they were our own. Over the years we've had the joy of looking after many dogs in either the homes of their owners, or in our own home. We often look after our two family Border Terriers - one is rather nervous and dog-shy - and our two lovely family cats. They're a a big part of our lives and have really helped us understand how different each pet's personality can be.
Our experience includes everything from daily walks and playtime to grooming, administering medication, and making sure your home stays clean and cared for whilst you're away. We understand how important it is for your pets to feel comfortable and safe, and we take pride in creating a calm, loving environment for them.
We're open to looking after most domestic pets, not just dogs and cats, and we're always open to discuss specific needs such as medication administration or specific routines or just to get to know us! If you're looking for trustworthy, experienced and loving sitters we would love to help!
In regards to our home stays, James works full time from home so there would rarely be a moment alone for your loved ones or your home. This also comes with the benefits of being in for deliveries and watering plants etc!
We can't wait to meet you and your little furry friends!

Animals have been at the centre of my life for as long as I can remember, and caring for them has become both my passion and my purpose. I specialise in supporting nervous, senior, and rescue dogs—the ones who need a little extra patience, understanding, and calm. There’s nothing more rewarding to me than watching a worried dog slowly relax, build trust, and start to feel safe in their own time.I run Tanya’s Tails Aplenty, a welfare‑first pet care service based in Romsey, where I offer gentle, structured walks, drop‑ins, and tailored support for dogs who thrive in quieter environments. I’m Canine First Aid trained, experienced with multi‑dog households, and confident with dogs who have anxiety, medical needs, or complex backgrounds.Alongside pet care, I design and make welfare‑focused dog accessories, which has strengthened my understanding of canine comfort, body language, and safe handling.I’m calm, reliable, and genuinely invested in every animal I look after. Your dog will always be treated with patience, respect, and the same kindness I give my own. My goal is simple: to help your pet feel secure, understood, and happy while you’re away.

I’ve always had a special connection with cats—their unique personalities, quiet companionship, and independent yet affectionate nature truly resonate with me. Growing up in a household with multiple cats, I learned early on how to care for them, understand their body language, and respect their space. Whether it's feeding, grooming, playing, or simply providing a calm presence, I enjoy every aspect of being around cats.
My motivation to be a cat sitter comes from both my love for felines and my desire to help cat owners feel at ease when they're away. I know how sensitive cats can be to changes in their environment or routine, and I take pride in offering gentle, reliable, and attentive care that keeps them feeling safe and comfortable in their own home. Every cat is different, and I take the time to get to know each one individually—because they deserve nothing less than thoughtful, loving care.
