Top cities for house sitting in United Kingdom

Are you going away but have a pet that prefers to stay in their own environment? Or perhaps you have a range of different animals and it’s not practical for you to organise for them to stay in different places? Then you might want to consider finding a Pawshake house sitter to come and stay at your New Mills home while you are away.

House sitting is a convenient and affordable option when you have multiple pets and also want your house to be securely looked after while you are away. Many of our pet sitters have very reasonable house sitting rates because they enjoy staying and exploring different local neighbourhoods like New Mills.

At Pawshake, we understand that trusting your home to a stranger can be a little daunting. So we’ve done all the hard work to ensure that your Pawshake house sitter is trustworthy and reliable. All our pet sitter profiles are checked individually by our dedicated trust and safety team and some house sitters also have their own police checks which they can share with you.

The best thing about engaging a Pawshake verified house sitter is that you can relax knowing that on top of being covered by The Pawshake Guarantee which includes veterinary coverage, so your pets are being cared for in a familiar environment and your New Mills home is also being looked after as well.

In addition to looking after your pets, most of our house sitters will happily help you by collecting your mail, taking out the bins, and watering your plants. Just make sure you discuss all your requirements with your chosen house sitter prior to booking.

Hi, my name is Gigi. I’m a postgraduate student at the University of Manchester, and I would love to take care of your babies anytime!
I have my own dogs back in Thailand, so I truly understand how difficult it can be to find someone you trust to care for your dog with genuine love and attention. That’s why I treat every pet as if they were my own.
Spending time with dogs makes me genuinely happy. I love caring for them, playing with them, and learning about their unique personalities. I’m a fast learner, positive, open-minded, and responsible person — and I can’t wait to get to know your dog better.
Your pet’s safety and comfort are always my top priority. I will carefully follow your instructions regarding feeding, walking routines, medication (if any), and house rules. I make sure pets are always supervised, walked safely on a leash (unless otherwise instructed), and kept in a secure environment. I’m also happy to provide regular updates, photos, and videos for your peace of mind.
I’m available Monday to Sunday with a flexible schedule. Once you hire me, we can discuss all the details to make sure everything is tailored to your pet’s needs.
I would be very happy to help with pet sitting at your home or wherever needed.Nice to meet you, and I hope I can help take care of your babies soon 🤍

Looking for someone who genuinely cares about your pet’s well-being while you're away?
Hello! I’m Amiee, a passionate animal lover based in Manchester, offering dog walking, home visits, and day care services for your beloved pets. I’ve been around animals since I was young — my family raised poodles, and I’ve also helped care for relatives’ pets, including schnauzers and a gentle German shepherd.
Although I’m new to Pawshake, I have years of hands-on experience caring for pets and truly enjoy spending time with them. While I don’t currently have a pet due to my changing work situation, I fully understand the daily needs of animals and how important it is for them to feel safe, loved, and well cared for. I’m calm, gentle, and always attentive to each pet’s unique personality and comfort.
I offer flexible scheduling during both weekdays and weekends, and I’m always happy to follow specific routines, feeding instructions, and preferences. You’ll also receive regular photo and message updates so you can feel connected and reassured while you're away.

Here’s what I currently offer:
Dog Walking – 30-minute relaxed or energetic walks tailored to your dog’s needs
Home Visits – Feeding, playtime, cleaning, and companionship during short visits
Pet Day Care – Daytime care in a calm, pet-friendly home (no overnight stays)
Overnight Stays – At your home, for pets who need company and care throughout the night
Tailored Dietary Care – Meals prepared and served according to your pet’s usual routine

Please note: I do not offer dog boarding services. Thank you for your understanding! I only accept vaccinated pets to ensure the safety and well-being of all animals in my care.

I look forward to meeting you and your beloved pets! Let’s connect and discuss how I can support your pet care needs while you’re away.

Hi, my name is Suki. I work as a nurse (DBS checked) but have recently relocated to Manchester so having a bit of a break before I start work again.I have a beautiful toy poodle called Gojira (aged 1). She is my pride and joy :). I love teaching her new tricks and spending time with her. She is confident and enjoys being around other furry companions. I prefer to walk small dogs as I have always been around small dogs. I will never walk any dogs off lead for safety reasons and I will only walk one dog at a time - your fur baby will have my undivided attention!I currently offer dog walking, house sitting and drop in visits (feeding, playing, letting them out for wees/poos etc.). I can also offer support with pups as its absolutely heartbreaking having to leave them at home by themselves :"( I'm happy to offer basic training too!I can offer to pick your dog up and drop them home if needed (additonal charge to cover the fuel). I cover Ashton, Dukinfield, Stalybridge and Ancoats. Please send me a message to arrange a meet and greet where we can discuss any concerns you may have. It will also be an opportunity for me to find out more about your fur baby (medical conditions, behaviours, dietary requirements etc.).
