My name is Ioanna (Joanna ), I'm originally from Greece and I have two dogs back home, Snoopy, who is a 10-year-old Maltese and Crepa (from the French dessert crepe), who just turned 1, which I miss a lot!&nbsp;
I can offer long (or short) walks, check in on them once or twice a day to feed and play with them, and dog-sit at the owner's house for 3-4 days, preferably on weekends.&nbsp;
If your dog loves to go for runs, I am also a runner, so that is another option. I wanna be a dog sitter not only for my love for dogs but because I have great knowledge on how to take care of them and am willing to provide for our little paw-friends whatever they need!&nbsp;
My only weakness is that if they behave, I have to give them treats! I have had lots of experience dog sitting, not only through my own dogs but through my friends' and neighbours' dogs whenever they needed an assist during holidays or last-minute work trips.&nbsp;
I am mostly acquainted with small dogs; however, I grew up with my best friend's four big Labradoodles, so I know I can manage any type of dog!&nbsp;

 I have 2 corgi boys  and 3 cats of my own back home in Devon and missing them lots!  I am experienced when it comes to looking after pets both dogs and cats. If you're searching for someone who will love on your babies as much as you do, who is dedicated to providing exceptional care, look no further!My late collie had behavioural problems on top of pain from hip dysplasia and Osteoarthritis so I am well versed in handling medication and also reading dog's but also cat's body language after working with a certified animal behaviourist for a while. I know when to give the pet their space and to respect their boundaries. Open communication and clear instructions from owners are very important for pets with extra needs. I am very calm and can work under pressure. I am someone you want in times of need.&nbsp;
I am happy to do dog walks or Pop-ins and Cat pop-in visits also! 
For cat pop-ins, I will include cleaning the litterbox, playing with them, cuddling, petting,snuggling or simply keeping them company for at least 30mins 

Dog walks will be a minimum of 30mins-1hr; can vary depending on agreed timeframe.

 My availabilities are: - Weekends: Morning, Afternoon, Evening Walks and pop-ins available- Weekdays: 2/4 Tuesdays I am mostly available for Morning,Afternoon, Evening walks and pop-ins. I used to have 2 babies of my own called Tic &amp; Tac. They were very well cared for but unfortunately my work changed and I had to rehome them. This took me 9 months! I had to make sure that they were being adopted by someone who was going to love them like me. It was genuinely the hardest decision I've ever had to make. But it was to ensure that they got more time and snuggles.&nbsp;
I am happy to offer short visits to over night stays. I will take care of your babies like they are my own and they will have nothing but love from me.

I grew up around pets and quickly learned that good care is not just about feeding and walking, but about patience, attention, and creating a calm, safe environment where they feel secure. My motivation comes from understanding how stressful it can be to leave your pet with someone else. I want owners to feel confident that their pets are treated with the same care and respect I would give my own. I am reliable, organised, and attentive to routines. In a typical day, I follow each pet’s normal routine as closely as possible. Mornings might start with a walk, fresh water, breakfast, and some playtime to burn energy. During the day, I build in enrichment like short training games, gentle brushing, or puzzle toys. Evenings are usually calmer with another walk, dinner, and quiet companionship so they can settle comfortably. I keep spaces clean and stick to feeding and medication schedules carefully.
I have previous experience caring for dogs and cats for friends, neighbours, and family, including daily walks and feeding. I am comfortable with different temperaments and energy levels, from playful puppies to calmer pets who need a gentler pace. Energetic dogs get longer walks and active play, while shy or anxious pets get patience and a slower approach so they can warm up at their own pace.
What I bring that is unique is consistency and attentiveness. I am organised, calm, and observant, so I quickly notice changes in behaviour or appetite. I also genuinely enjoy spending time with animals, not just “checking in” on them.

I've been around dogs since I was a baby. As a child, I dreamt of becoming a vet, but it wasn't to be! Nevertheless, my passions for dogs remains to this day and I currently own a male Japanese Akita and a female Labrador. Over the years, I've had a Collie, a German Shepherd, and several Labradors.&nbsp;
It's not just medium and large dogs who I have experience with, though. My grandmother had a lovely poodle and a charismatic chihuahua. My girlfriend also has a fiesty and playful chihuahua, so I'm particular familiar with that small breed.
I'm trying to build up my fitness, so can match the exercise of the dog. Whether it's a super energetic one that likes to go on long walks or an older or smaller one that prefers slower, short walks, I can adapt.
