Top cities for house sitting in United Kingdom

Are you going away but have a pet that prefers to stay in their own environment? Or perhaps you have a range of different animals and it’s not practical for you to organise for them to stay in different places? Then you might want to consider finding a Pawshake house sitter to come and stay at your Poole home while you are away.

House sitting is a convenient and affordable option when you have multiple pets and also want your house to be securely looked after while you are away. Many of our pet sitters have very reasonable house sitting rates because they enjoy staying and exploring different local neighbourhoods like Poole.

At Pawshake, we understand that trusting your home to a stranger can be a little daunting. So we’ve done all the hard work to ensure that your Pawshake house sitter is trustworthy and reliable. All our pet sitter profiles are checked individually by our dedicated trust and safety team and some house sitters also have their own police checks which they can share with you.

The best thing about engaging a Pawshake verified house sitter is that you can relax knowing that on top of being covered by The Pawshake Guarantee which includes veterinary coverage, so your pets are being cared for in a familiar environment and your Poole home is also being looked after as well.

In addition to looking after your pets, most of our house sitters will happily help you by collecting your mail, taking out the bins, and watering your plants. Just make sure you discuss all your requirements with your chosen house sitter prior to booking.

Hello my name is Nic, I am 25 and used to work as a registered veterinary nurse, I have lived with animals my whole life. I am happy to give injections and oral medications to animals if needed.
I love spending time with animals, whether that be going for long walks or cuddles at home. There is nothing better than pet cuddles whether that be dog, cat, hamster or toirtoise etc.

The only animals I don't think I can provide the best care for is rabbits and birds as I have had a lot less experience with these animals as an owner. However, I am eager to learn more about these species.
I have done pet sitting and walking for family and friends and would love for it to become a more regular activity, and get to explore more of Dorset at the same time.
Services: dog walking, pet sitting and drop-in visits.
I can take your dogs for walks on weekends and some evenings within the week. However please message to find out about specific dates or fees.

I love all animals! Having grown up with a rescue dog in the family myself and living, on and around farms, I've learnt to love every pet.I've previously pet sit for friends and neighbours so I have experience pet sitting, also living on a working farm in Poland, Ive learnt to look after multiple dogs, cats goats and other livestock (not that you would have livestock as pets)!Just like us, all animals are different, and I try to be attentive to specific needs or behaviours to make pets feel comfortable, like sticking to their routines or accommodating any special requirements they may have. After moving out, I've not seen my little Jack Russel, Diesel, in quite some time and would love to care for your pets just as I have mine!I am generally more experienced with dogs, however not a stranger to working with other animals too!I am a non-smoker, and will treat your house with utmost respect, everything will be left as found.

I took early retirement from the Criminal Justice System nearly 10 years ago and I’ve now decided to turn my passion for dogs into something that I can do in my spare time. I am of course fully DBS checked and insured with the nations leading pet insurer Petplan, but more important than anything, I just love dogs! I’ve had dogs literally from the moment I was born and my favourites are big dogs such as Border Collies, German Shepherds, Retrievers and Labradors.

I have experience in training and handling deaf dogs as my previous border collie was deaf and I taught her how we could communicate by me using hand signals and we went on to obtain our bronze and silver good citizen awards. I have also taken my current dog scent training and to Hoopers Agility as she has arthritis. I’m quite happy looking after and medicating old or infirm dogs and we can provide our own doggy pushchair if need be.

I’m first aid trained, have attended dog massage and alternative therapy workshops, agility classes and have experience in animal healing and reiki.

Another passion of mine is travelling and exploring and I am happy to travel to sits that are in areas of interest to me if they suit us both.

I am currently a 3rd year university student and miss my 2 dogs at home very much, and so am looking to help around with your furry friends. I am well versed in looking after dogs, my parents having fostered 2 dogs before, and having grown up in a dog and cat family. My 2 dogs at home are both rescues and both only have 3 legs! So any and all dogs are welcome.
If it's just a small walk you're looking for, or for me to look after them whilst you are out for the day, I am down for whatever. I am quite happy with doing my uni work at yours and looking after your dog, taking them out when needed. I think it will be nice to have some company whilst I do!!
My experience with looking after animals is looking after my own dogs, of course. We've also taken in neighbours dogs to look after for a weekend or a night, and so I have a few previous experiences with dog sitting. My girl dog is getting older now and so when taking her on a walk, I have had to adapt to the lengths and terrain of our walks because her front leg can have a lot of strain, and so I will always ensure the best for your dog.

I grew up in the countryside with all kinds of animals. I had my very own donkeys, dogs, birds and small creatures that depended on me.I am a dedicated and proactive animal care specialist with 5+ years of hands-on experience in dog walking, pet sitting, and animal training across Dorset and Hampshire. CPD-certified Dog Trainer with a strong foundation in animal behaviour and welfare. Former hospitality and business manager, bringing leadership, organisation, and customer service expertise. Entrepreneurial and adaptable, with experience launching a unique mobile dog-friendly ice cream venture. Passionate about providing compassionate, reliable care for animals and excellent service to pet owners.I have been working and assisting one of the top dog trainers in Bournemouth. I have recently and successfully trained my own dog.I have very good reviews on my social media from very happy clients. I have recently moved to the blandford areaand am looking for new paw members.
