Are you going away but have a pet that prefers to stay in their own environment? Or perhaps you have a range of different animals and it’s not practical for you to organise for them to stay in different places? Then you might want to consider finding a Pawshake house sitter to come and stay at your Repton home while you are away.

House sitting is a convenient and affordable option when you have multiple pets and also want your house to be securely looked after while you are away. Many of our pet sitters have very reasonable house sitting rates because they enjoy staying and exploring different local neighbourhoods like Repton.

At Pawshake, we understand that trusting your home to a stranger can be a little daunting. So we’ve done all the hard work to ensure that your Pawshake house sitter is trustworthy and reliable. All our pet sitter profiles are checked individually by our dedicated trust and safety team and some house sitters also have their own police checks which they can share with you.

The best thing about engaging a Pawshake verified house sitter is that you can relax knowing that on top of being covered by The Pawshake Guarantee which includes veterinary coverage, so your pets are being cared for in a familiar environment and your Repton home is also being looked after as well.

In addition to looking after your pets, most of our house sitters will happily help you by collecting your mail, taking out the bins, and watering your plants. Just make sure you discuss all your requirements with your chosen house sitter prior to booking.

Hi! I'm a 18 year old, caring and responsible animal lover who would love the opportunity to look after your pets and give them the attention, affection and exercise that they deserve.
I understand that when you leave your pets with someone new, it can be very worrying. My aim is to always make everything as stress free as possible for both you and your animals. I am more than happy to take the time to get to know your pet and there needs instead of treating all pets the same.
I offer dog walking and home visits. When dog walking, I make sure that the dogs get the appropriate exercise they need whilst also keeping their safety as my priority. For home visits, I'm happy to stick to the pets routine such as feeding schedules, water, playtime, loads of attention, playtime. Im also happy to follow very specific instructions from owners if they need a very specific feeding routine, certain walk preference, more reassurance and patience. Before I care for your pet, I will make sure that I understand their routine, likes/dislikes, behaviours and any important safety information.
I have dog walked family and friends dogs, and I have done home visits and pet sat family and friends animals. I have also completed a Level 2 Animal Care course and I am currently doing a Level 3 Animal care course where I have learnt to care for, feed, clean many different types of animals and learned all there behaviours for example. This has also helped me develop an understanding of responsible animal care and I am comfortable to take the time to build trust in each animal including shy and nervous animals.
Your pet's wellbeing and safety will always come firs. I will also always treat your house with respect and I will contact you if I notice anything unusual with your pet. Also during this time I am happy to keep your updated on your animals through messages or pictures if you would like me to.
Im available on weekends, half-terms, and tuesdays and fridays during my college time. I am based mainly around Horninglow and Stretton area. I can also do mondays, wednesday and thursday depending on time due to college.
I would love to be able to look after your pets and I'm excited to provide them with reliable, safe, and loving care whilst you are away!

Since an early age I have always had pets in our house, from the typical- cats, dogs, fish to the somewhat unusual ferret, tarantula, tortoises - we've had them all, and I've loved them all.

My name is Tom and I live with my Fiancé Jen in the Ibstock area and although this is the first time without our own pet in the house we still find my friends and families pets in here almost routinely! I've handled many breeds ranging from small (Shih-Tzus) to large (Great Dane). Particular favs are Frenchies, Staffies and Dachshunds.
It's just us in our home, no other pets or children so we can give all our attention and love to your pet. We have a fenced with locked gate garden for your dogs safety and are located near multiple woodland areas giving your dog the walk they truly deserve! We have our own blankets, beds, bowls and toys but are happy to use anything in particular that you may provide for your own peace of mind. Our services include:

 Overnight stays at our home
 Overnight stays at your home
 Walks throughout the day/evening/night
Day time stays at our home
 In home checks
 Light grooming (baths, combing, sprays)
 Oral application of medication

I am however very easy going and will work with you to provide the best possible service you require - all you need to do is ask.
If you have any questions please do not hesitate to ask, I'm happy to listen and take on board anything and everything there is to know about your pet to give them the right care that you want and that they need. I'll care for them as if they were my own and I hope to hear from you soon.

ATTENTION - My days off and free time for sitting will be every Thursday to Sunday up until the 7th of October. After the 7th my days off and free time for sitting will change to every Saturday to Tuesday.

Hi! I’m Eden! I'm 24 and I live in Burton, with my 5 cats and 2 foster cats. I work in Ashby and travel through Swadlincote twice a day so also take bookings in Swadlincote, Ashby-de-la-Zouch and surrounding areas. I know how hard it can be to leave your pets while you are away but for me it's always easier when you know they are being well looked after in their home!

I have had around 18 cats from growing up with family cats at home go now having my 5 of my own and 2 foster cats. With so many cats comes so many different needs and responsibilities, and of course, so much love. I am confident I can look after any cats and kittens, any ages with any needs. I drive so I am happy to travel while you are away for any length of time.

If your cats just need feeding then I will certainly do that but I will also give them plenty of fuss and spend time with them. I'm also happy to give medication if needed. Changing their tray also isn't a problem and will be done every day. I'll be sending you updates and photos throughout my time with them to keep your mind at rest and let you know how they are. If there's anything else you need like fish that need feeding, plants that need watering, etc, just let me know.

I work Monday to Wednesday, 8 30 till 5 so I am happy to do a visit early morning and evenings those days. Thursday to Sunday I am happy to go any time of day that you see fit.

I really do love all cats and have lots of experience with so many. I'm reliable and will make sure your babies are happy and healthy and that your home is safe while you are away! Feel free to enquire x

Hi everyone!
I love being around animals so I am really excited to get started.
I am based in Derby and surrounding areas - if you aren't in this area and would like me as a pet sitter give me a message and we can work something out!
I have looked after lots of dogs and cats before (one time was over 2 weeks) and it was the best time. I own a cat myself and she is very spoilt and the best company!
I offer dog walking - this can be either a 60 minute or 30 minute walk, drop in visits - I offer a 60 minute or 30 minute session which includes feeding, making sure they have water, playing and to be let out into the garden. Finally, I offer pet sitting - this can be overnight or just for the day/night. Any additional pets will be charged at a cheaper rate e.g. if you are looking for a pet sitting for 2 dogs, one dog will be the base rate and the second will be charged at a discounted rate!

I offer pet care to a range of different animals! Dogs, cats, birds, guinea pigs, fish, hamsters and if your pet is not on the list let me know and I will most likely be able to care for them!

Unfortunately, I won't be able to take bookings for home boarding (your pets staying at my home).

Some benefits of pet sitting are it helps your pets feel safe, relaxed and stress free in their own homes whilst you're away. Pets then get a consistent routine (regular feeding, walking and play). Staying home also avoids exposures to parasites from other animals and kennel cough. Pet sitting also gives you as owners the peace of mind as I can send photo/video updates via WhatsApp if needed.

I have over 10 years of experience looking after pets in their own home, and I have completed over 100 sits on Trusted Housestitters, with a 5 star rating.
I travel throughout the UK and the minimum numbers of days I sit is 6.
Detached properties only.
No other persons or family members may stay or use the property while I am present.
I drive an estate car and require suitable access and parking (no rough tracks etc).
The maximum number of pets I sit are:
1 large dog with 1 or 2 cats
2 small to medium dogs and 1 cat
3 cats maximum.
5 chickens maximum
Aquarium & pond fish

I do not share a bed or bedroom with pets!
Your home will be left as found.
The bed will be stripped of used linen.
Indoor and outdoor plants will be fed and watered.
Bins will be put out for collection, and post and parcels will be taken in.
Extra services such as gardening can be negotiated.

Hi! I’m currently studying Dance Movement Psychotherapy at the University of Derby, which might sound a bit unusual for pet sitting but it means I’m trained to understand emotions and body language beyond words.
I’ve always been surrounded by animals. I used to have three dogs and two cats, I also have experience caring for rabbits, turtles, ferrets, and parrots (my mum has two!), which has made me comfortable adapting to different temperaments and care needs.
Since moving to the UK, I’ve really missed my pets, which is one of the reasons I’m so drawn to pet sitting. Being around animals brings me comfort, and I genuinely enjoy building trust with them.
In terms of daily care, I tailor everything to your pet. For dogs, I usually offer 30–60 minute walks depending on their energy level, along with playtime and companionship at home. For cats and smaller animals, I focus on maintaining their routine and gentle interaction. I pay close attention to feeding schedules, water intake, cleanliness, and overall wellbeing.
When it comes to behaviour, I approach pets with patience and understanding. If a pet shows signs of anxiety, overexcitement, I focus on creating a safe and predictable environment rather than forcing interaction. I use gentle redirection and calm presence to support them in settling. I respect each animal’s boundaries while also maintaining clear structure.
I am comfortable administering basic medication (such as oral medication if clearly instructed), and I always follow the owner’s guidance carefully. I provide regular updates with photos and messages so you can feel reassured while you’re away. If any unexpected situation arises, I stay calm, observe carefully, and contact you promptly while taking appropriate action to ensure your pet’s safety.
Through my volunteering experience, I’ve developed strong responsibility, patience, and reliability. I only accept vaccinated pets and always maintain a clean, safe, and peaceful environment.
I understand how important your pet is to you, and I will treat them with warmth, attentiveness, and genuine care just like they’re my own.

Hi! I'm rom Malaysia and I'm currently working in the UK. I grew up with dogs since childhood. Previously had 2 german shepherds, 2 dalmations and currently, we have 5 mongrels. Recently our dogs had a litter of 6 puppies, we took care of them till 3 months old and gave 3 of them away. I have grown to appreciate dogs over time, especially after nurturing our litter of puppies from birth. Seeing them grow up from the size of my palm to the height of my waist, is simply priceless. I have some basic experience in training dogs, managed to train some of my dogs to sit, stay, lie down, stand up, shake hand. I enjoy walking dogs, running them and playing with them. Back in Malaysia, where my dogs are, I would play tug of war and chase with them. We love just about any dog, it's always fun to spend time with them.
My schedule is flexible and can accommodate morning, afternoon and evening visits. As a student, I am always free on the weekends for walks, visit, boarding, etc.
Depending on the dog's personality and needs, I cuddle them, give them attention, or simply leave them alone. If they are the active type, playing toys with them or taking them for a walk is how I would care for them.
The services I provide are Dog Walking, Home visits and House Sitting (where I stay in pet owner's house). My dog walks can range from 30 minutes up to 2 hours depending on your request. During House Sitting I can do as many dog walks as you wish per day. I can supervise pets 24/7, but I trust that you will be reasonable with me leaving the house when necessary.
I do not do Home Dog Boarding or Doggy Daycare due to my flat not being suitable for it.
My services do not grooming.
