Top cities for house sitting in United Kingdom

Are you going away but have a pet that prefers to stay in their own environment? Or perhaps you have a range of different animals and it’s not practical for you to organise for them to stay in different places? Then you might want to consider finding a Pawshake house sitter to come and stay at your Rochford home while you are away.

House sitting is a convenient and affordable option when you have multiple pets and also want your house to be securely looked after while you are away. Many of our pet sitters have very reasonable house sitting rates because they enjoy staying and exploring different local neighbourhoods like Rochford.

At Pawshake, we understand that trusting your home to a stranger can be a little daunting. So we’ve done all the hard work to ensure that your Pawshake house sitter is trustworthy and reliable. All our pet sitter profiles are checked individually by our dedicated trust and safety team and some house sitters also have their own police checks which they can share with you.

The best thing about engaging a Pawshake verified house sitter is that you can relax knowing that on top of being covered by The Pawshake Guarantee which includes veterinary coverage, so your pets are being cared for in a familiar environment and your Rochford home is also being looked after as well.

In addition to looking after your pets, most of our house sitters will happily help you by collecting your mail, taking out the bins, and watering your plants. Just make sure you discuss all your requirements with your chosen house sitter prior to booking.

Hi there! My name’s Laura, and I’m a bubbly, animal-loving adventurer who adores spending time outdoors. Whether it’s long walks through fields, playful runs in the park, or snuggling up at home, your dog will be treated like part of the family while they are with me.
I know how special the bond with your furry friend is, so I’ll make sure you’re always in the loop with photo updates and stories about the fun activities we’ve been up to together.
With full flexibility and availability, no job is too big or small for me. Need someone to walk your dog, take your pup to the vet, groomers, or even puppy training classes? I’ve got you covered!
If you’re looking for someone who’ll give your dog unlimited love, care, and exercise, I’d love to chat and see how I can help. Let’s make your dog’s time away from you just as happy and exciting as when they’re with you!

I’m a huge dog lover and would absolutely love the opportunity to spend more time with dogs while helping owners who need an extra pair of hands. I have my own 14-year-old Cockapoo, who I adore, and we go on a walk every day, so caring for dogs is already a big part of my routine.

As a dog walker, I’ll make sure your dog gets plenty of exercise, attention and, of course, lots of fuss! I’m happy to cater walks to your dog’s individual needs, whether they’re energetic and love a long walk, prefer a slower stroll, or simply need some company and fresh air. I understand that every dog is different and will always take the time to make sure they feel comfortable and happy.

I’m reliable, responsible and genuinely passionate about animals. Your dog’s safety and wellbeing will always be my priority, and I’ll treat them with the same care and attention I give my own.

Availability: I’m very flexible and available whenever you need me, including weekdays and weekends. I’m happy to work around your schedule and arrange regular or one-off walks.

Services: I offer flexible dog walking tailored to your dog’s needs and routine. Walks can be as short or as long as your dog needs, whether that’s a quick 20–30 minute stroll, a 45–60 minute walk, or a longer adventure for dogs who love plenty of exercise. I’m also happy to provide toilet breaks, playtime, company and lots of cuddles if your dog needs some extra attention. I can accommodate one-off walks or regular daily walks and will always follow your instructions around your dog’s usual routine, pace and preferences. I’m happy to work with puppies, older dogs and everything in between, adapting the walk to their age, energy levels and individual needs. My availability is very flexible, so I can work around your schedule and your dog’s routine.

I trained as a Vet for 4 years in my younger years before moving to Sports Science, but my love for animals has always remained.
I’ve worked in vets, farms, college, kennels/ Catteries, pet shop, grooming parlour and many more.
I’m unable to stay at a clients home overnight, however I do offer day care at the clients own home Mon-Fri at set times. No longer then 10 hours.
I’m super flexible during the weekdays (daytime) and can also be available for some weekends.
I’m self employed so my schedule is under my terms.
Weekends are only available booked 3 weeks in advance & are charged at higher rate to weekdays, £50 weekday, £65 weekend.
If you would like your dog(s) walked I charge £15 per walk / per hour. If you have 2 dogs from the same household it will be reduced to £10 for the 2nd dog.
I visit the owners home ahead of the sitting to become familiar with the animal & build trust with it within its own home. There is no fee for this provided it is less then 5 miles away.

I have always loved spending time with animals and never tire of cuddles and games with them. I have a two beautiful 11 year old cats - William and Harry who we adopted about 5 years ago when one of our lovely neighbours passed unexpectedly, they are absolutely my surrogate babies and can do no wrong in my eyes (despite their desire to play at all hours). To counter their general calmness I also have a very excitable, 75kg St Bernard puppy - Teddy. He looks exactly as he should with his name and leaves a trail of destruction, slobber and fur behind him wherever he goes… He’s my dream puppy and my biggest baby! ️
These three and my 3 year old human daughter fill my home with love, laughter and noise but mean I’m definitely not allowed to bring any more furry babies into it so I needed to branch out.
I’ve had many different pets through the years and so am experienced with most elements of care and I understand how precious these creatures are so will care for all of your furry family members with the same level of love and attention I would expect for my own. I follow instruction well and am able to use my own initiative through personal experience. Comfortable administering medication as needed, of course under your direction.
I know it’s important, especially with cats, to keep them in their own environment when you go away and if you are able to trust me in your home and with your babies I’ll do my best to replicate your existing routines and find a way to bond with them myself so that they can feel comfortable in my presence.
Any questions please don’t hesitate to ask.

Hi! I’m Carla, and I would be delighted to give your four-legged family members the love, attention and care they deserve.I know how important it is to leave your pet with someone you can completely trust. Whether they need an energetic walk, some company, or a little extra love while you’re away, I’ll make sure they feel safe, happy and cared for. Dog walking – fun, safe walks tailored to your dog’s personality and energy levels Pet sitting – keeping your pets comfortable and settled in their own home Puppies/kittens, seniors & everything in between – every animal has different needs, and I’m happy to work around their routine Lots of love & attention – because pets aren’t just pets, they’re family Updates while you’re away – because I know how reassuring it is to see that your little one is happy and having a good time!I’ll take the time to get to know your pet, their personality, their routines and all their little quirks. My aim is for them to have such a lovely time that they’re actually excited to see me again! Reliable, caring and genuinely passionate about animals — your pet’s happiness and wellbeing will always come first.

Hi! I’m Hatice, and I’m a warm animal lover who would love to help take care of your pets.
I know how important it is to leave your pets with someone you can completely trust, so I always make sure they feel safe, comfortable and, most importantly, loved while you’re away.

I’ve grown up around pets and have experience caring for both cats and dogs, including looking after my own. I really enjoy spending time with animals and getting to know their individual personalities; whether that means going for a walk, playing, giving them plenty of attention or simply keeping them company.

I’m happy to provide dog walking, drop-in visits and pet sitting, depending on what you and your pet need.
I’m comfortable following feeding routines, giving treats, refreshing water, cleaning up after pets and making sure they get plenty of attention and affection.

I’m currently a university student, so my availability can be flexible, particularly during holidays and outside of my university hours. I’m reliable, responsible and will always treat your home and your pet with respect.

Every pet is different, and I’m more than happy to follow their usual routine and any specific instructions you have. My goal is simple: to make sure your pet is happy, cared for and never feels like you’ve left them behind!!

Hi there I'm Christina the Rochford District Dog Walker
I am currently transitioning from a professional corporate career to dedicate myself fully to my passion for canine care. As a mother and a lifelong dog owner, I understand that your dog is a cherished member of your family. I bring a high level of organisation, reliability, and professional integrity to my work, ensuring your pet is safe and well cared for while you are away.
My experience is built on years of personal ownership and caring for the pets of friends and family. I am experienced with a wide range of breeds, but I have a particular love for Jack Russell Terriers. I enjoy their spirited personalities and the unique energy they bring, and I am very comfortable managing the "terrier attitude" with patience and consistency. To ensure I provide the best possible care, I am currently studying for my Level 3 in K9 Care and Welfare (VTQ).
My Routine and Care Approach
I believe that a consistent, predictable routine is essential for a dog's well being. During a typical home visit or walk, I start with a thorough safety check of your dog’s lead and harness. We will head out to local spots for exercise and mental stimulation.
After our walk, I ensure paws are wiped, ticks are checked for, and fresh water is provided. If I am sitting at your home, I strictly follow your dog's feeding and garden schedule to keep their stress levels low.
Safety, Trust and Training
Your dog’s safety and your home's security are my absolute priorities.

Vetted and Insured: I am fully DBS checked and operate with comprehensive pet sitting insurance.
Emergency Prepared: I am VTQ K9 First Aid trained and I carry a pet specific first aid kit on all walks and have your dog's veterinary surgery details.
Specialised Care: I am very comfortable with various temperaments. For nervous dogs, I use a patient, low-pressure approach to build trust at their own pace.

I pride myself on clear, professional communication and will provide you with regular photos and updates throughout our time together so you have total peace of mind.
Walks are 30 minutes from your home but if you need longer please let me know.
Only your dog will be walked.
Pack walks are coming soon.
I know my pup loves a good hour or two!
Thank you for your support

Hello my name is Laura I offer house sitting, drop in visits, dog training and dog walking. I was volunteering at dog shelter for 4 years back in my home country Slovakia and I loved every second of it. I absolutely love animals it's my passion since I was a child and I love taking care of them I always wanted to work with animals it has been always my dream since I was little. You can rely on me that your best friend is going to be in best hands! I have a experience as a dog trainer as well. I can't have a dog at the moment so this is the way I would love to spend some more time with animals. I am very flexible with my work, so I can accommodate for your dog baby at most times. I can take them for walks or make day visits for feeding and playing or dog sit for the day. I am very responsible please feel free to message me if you have any question. I am very patient and caring and will do my best for your pet to feel comfortable. I am thrilled to have this opportunity to work with animals as it makes me very happy! I can't wait to meet you and your pet family! Please don't hesitate to drop me a message!!! Thank you

You could probably open a zoo with the amount of animals I've had to look after / own / care for! My childhood has always been surrounded by furry friends and even when younger my parents used to dog sit! I've got a little experience of playing and looking after ferrets and cats but my biggest knowledge is dogs of all ages and sizes. I'm available throughout the day at different times but happy to adjust to your animal's needs if there's a specific time required. If your animal is a nervous one, we can arrange a meet up so that it's not a stranger on their first meet in their home. Home visits can be adjusted, I set the times for 30 mins or an hour but if more / less is needed just let me know. Walks can also be adjusted depending on the fitness level, age and demand of your pet. I also love taking photos so the chances are you'll have a pet photoshoot included! By day to day I'm cabin crew due to my restricted flying hours I get a lot of time off and with plans to hopefully buy my own home next year with my partner, I'm looking to earn some extra money to help us get there a little bit quicker! It's vital for an animal to get their daily walks and exercise and sometimes life gets in the way of being able to get them the full attention they deserve. If you have any questions, doubts or worries, drop me a message and I'm always happy to send updated pictures and messages to reassure you that your furry child is in great hands!

My husband and I are keen adventurers we love walking, nature and cosying up to watch a movie. We are very disciplined with pet routines and are very keen to spoil them with lots of affection once they warm up to us. I have owned numerous pets including aquatic pets (fish/axolotl), birds(budgies), rats, and chickens since childhood. All of which have lived well past their maximum life expectancy, and have had positive reports from their vets. I have even managed to travel with my pets they settled well. We love pets and would love to own more if we could move to a bigger space (dog or cat). My husband and I would love to travel the uk more and we are open to any setup. We are currently only available during school holidays due to our work. Please get in touch, we'd love to consider your pet sitting request. We are offering house and petsitting opportunities during school holidays; we would love to travel away from our local area and are open to UK wide bookings.

Hi! I’m Martina and I am passionate about animals and caring for them.
Having worked in an office for over 20 years, I decided last year that it was time to pursue my own interests by working with animals, providing them with the same care and attention, as I do my own.
I have been brought up with animals throughout my life, including dogs, cats, birds, hamsters, ferrets and fish. In addition to this, I volunteer for Cats Protection, German Shepherd Dog Rescue and Hockley FerretRescue.
Fully insured, first aid trained and DBS checked, I can provide continuity and excellent care tailored to your pet’s individual needs, as I am available throughout the week, weekends and for overnight stays.
I can provide solo dog walking, pet minding in your home and welfare visits. I'm happy to care for senior pets; those that require medication; or pets with special needs, behaviours or disabilities.
Whatever your requirements, I would be happy to meet and make arrangements to suit you. Please let me know if you have any special requests at the time of booking and during our introductory meeting, in order that I can ensure your pets are given the best service.
