Top cities for house sitting in United Kingdom

Are you going away but have a pet that prefers to stay in their own environment? Or perhaps you have a range of different animals and it’s not practical for you to organise for them to stay in different places? Then you might want to consider finding a Pawshake house sitter to come and stay at your Rosewell home while you are away.

House sitting is a convenient and affordable option when you have multiple pets and also want your house to be securely looked after while you are away. Many of our pet sitters have very reasonable house sitting rates because they enjoy staying and exploring different local neighbourhoods like Rosewell.

At Pawshake, we understand that trusting your home to a stranger can be a little daunting. So we’ve done all the hard work to ensure that your Pawshake house sitter is trustworthy and reliable. All our pet sitter profiles are checked individually by our dedicated trust and safety team and some house sitters also have their own police checks which they can share with you.

The best thing about engaging a Pawshake verified house sitter is that you can relax knowing that on top of being covered by The Pawshake Guarantee which includes veterinary coverage, so your pets are being cared for in a familiar environment and your Rosewell home is also being looked after as well.

In addition to looking after your pets, most of our house sitters will happily help you by collecting your mail, taking out the bins, and watering your plants. Just make sure you discuss all your requirements with your chosen house sitter prior to booking.

Tailored exercise and play time.

Based on your companion’s needs.

️ Home-from-home comfort — no crates, no kennels, just quality companionship.

Ethical bonuses for your companion: a welcome goodie bag with plant-based samples.

Because your companion deserves more. I invest time, energy, and care into every moment, offering the kind of care and companionship that builds trust.

Perfect for:
Families who value ethical, holistic care.
Busy professionals who want peace of mind.
Those who need more than just basic needs met.

About me:
I am spiritual and lead my life with empathy, I love other animals as much as humans. Other animals have likes, personalities and feelings just like us – we are the same at heart, so we all deserve to be treated with kindness, patience and targeted approach.

Best care guaranteed — because your companion deserves it.

Please consider that to every animal their life is priceless, like your life is to you, mine is to me or your companion animal’s life is to them.

Please understand that by buying and consuming animal “products” and “by-products” innocent animals will be exploited, harmed and killed in effect of the supply — demand chain life cycle.

Did you know? Veganism is a moral principle that humans should live without exploiting other animals. It’s simply respecting animals. And consequently certain ethical practices follow, such as a plant based diet.

And science confirms humans and cats and dogs can be perfectly healthy off a plant based diet.

So why should your companion’s life cost 1000 other animals their lives? It shouldn’t.

Please live vegan and speak up for the animals, as they cannot speak or defend themselves. They don’t have a choice, but you do.

Not sure how? Google the Cube of Truth website or ask ChatGPT “how to go vegan now”. You can’t change the past but you can decide there will be 0 more animals exploited because of you.

Hi I'll answer these in order make it easy for everyone .My motivation for this job is I love animals always have I've spent my whole life dedicated to learning everything I possibly can about them.I have plenty of experience I've worked in kennels/catteries and stabels I've been an independently dog walker for 3 years now and I've pet sat birds/rodents/aquatic animals and reptiles I've owned some of these animals aswell.I offer experience dealing with different problems: leash pulling/chewing/advice on species/breed specific issues I'm starting a college course on animal behaviour I've not completed it yet so I will not be a certified professional. I am able to administer oral medication to pets .For home visits I'll stay as long as I can it usually depends of what you need me to do such as feed/ change water /give medication and playtime to your pets.Dog walks can range the same it depends on what your pet needs walking a pug compared to a collie is a different amount of time usually minum 15 minutes to an hour max.House sitting I can be booked all day for multiple days if needed of course I might have to pop out for an hour max to deal with appointments or nearby pet Poppins.

Hello! My name is Sárasa.

Animals have always held a special place in my heart — their playful, loving nature inspires me every day. I truly enjoy connecting with them and sharing quiet, joyful moments of care and companionship.

I began pet sitting after noticing how many of my friends and clients felt disheartened about leaving their pets behind when going to work or on holidays. I knew I could offer something special — a calm, loving environment where pets feel safe and understood, and their humans enjoy complete peace of mind knowing their companions are cared for with kindness and attention.

Alongside a professional background in childcare and creative mentorship for children and their adults, I have years of experience caring for animals. This taught me the importance of patience, observation, and gentle communication — qualities I bring to every walk, feeding, playtime, or moment of companionship.

Looking forward to caring for your beloved furry companions.

I’ve loved animals for as long as I can remember and have been lucky enough to share my life with pets from a young age. Growing up in Asia, I often fostered and cared for stray cats, and when my family moved back to Scotland, we welcomed a golden retriever puppy and two golden Persian kittens, who I helped care for throughout their lives.
In my 20s, my husband and I raised two golden retriever puppies, and although moving back to the UK meant we had to rehome them, I stayed closely connected with their new families and followed their journeys.
More recently, after starting our family, we added Millie the ragdoll cat, and four years ago we welcomed Cosmo, our much-loved retriever cross. With over 15 years of experience, I’m calm, confident, and caring with dogs and cats of all ages, and love giving them the love and attention they deserve.
I work full-time but outside of work, I'm available for dog 30+ min road or parkland walks and pet drop-ins.
Happy to feed and play with your pets, plus give plenty of cuddles.
