Top cities for house sitting in United Kingdom

Are you going away but have a pet that prefers to stay in their own environment? Or perhaps you have a range of different animals and it’s not practical for you to organise for them to stay in different places? Then you might want to consider finding a Pawshake house sitter to come and stay at your Shirley home while you are away.

House sitting is a convenient and affordable option when you have multiple pets and also want your house to be securely looked after while you are away. Many of our pet sitters have very reasonable house sitting rates because they enjoy staying and exploring different local neighbourhoods like Shirley.

At Pawshake, we understand that trusting your home to a stranger can be a little daunting. So we’ve done all the hard work to ensure that your Pawshake house sitter is trustworthy and reliable. All our pet sitter profiles are checked individually by our dedicated trust and safety team and some house sitters also have their own police checks which they can share with you.

The best thing about engaging a Pawshake verified house sitter is that you can relax knowing that on top of being covered by The Pawshake Guarantee which includes veterinary coverage, so your pets are being cared for in a familiar environment and your Shirley home is also being looked after as well.

In addition to looking after your pets, most of our house sitters will happily help you by collecting your mail, taking out the bins, and watering your plants. Just make sure you discuss all your requirements with your chosen house sitter prior to booking.

Trusted & Intuitive Sitter: A Natural Bond With Your Pet
I believe you can either instantly bond with animals or you can’t, and I am one of the lucky ones who can. I possess a natural ability to connect with animals quickly, earning trust instantly. Friends and family regularly recommend me for pet-sitting.
As a proud owner of two cats, I treat every animal as my own, providing flexible drop-in visits and overnight stays.
I handle daily essentials and these are the services I offer: feeding, litter changes, playtime, and love. Walks last depending on your pet's needs and regular routine.
If an emergency situation occurs, I stay calm and do not chase; I will immediately contact you, notify local authorities like the council dog warden, and search the immediate area using treats and familiar scents. Because I live in a shared household, I cannot host pets at my home.
Message me to book your introductory visit!

Hello! I'm currently a med student in UoW.
I have 2 corgi boys and 3 cats of my own back home in Devon and missing them lots! I am experienced when it comes to looking after pets both dogs and cats. If you're searching for someone who will love on your babies as much as you do, who is dedicated to providing exceptional care, look no further! My late collie had behavioural problems on top of pain from hip dysplasia and Osteoarthritis so I am well versed in handling medication and also reading dog's but also cat's body language after working with a certified animal behaviourist for a while. Hi, I’m Asam, a calm and reliable pet sitter based in Birmingham.

I understand how important it is for pets to feel safe, comfortable, and relaxed in their own home. My approach is patient, attentive, and consistent, which helps both energetic and more anxious pets settle quickly.

I have hands-on experience caring for both dogs and cats, including larger breeds, senior pets, and more active dogs. I’m confident handling different temperaments and always adapt to each pet’s needs, whether that’s structured walks, playtime, or simply providing calm companionship.

During house sitting or drop-in visits, I follow each owner’s routine closely — including feeding, walking, cleaning, and any specific instructions. I also provide regular updates and photos, so you always have peace of mind while you’re away.

I stay calm and focused in all situations and can handle unexpected issues responsibly, ensuring your pet is safe, secure, and well cared for at all times.

My goal is simple: to give your pet the same level of care and attention you would yourself.
