Hi! I’m Martina and I am passionate about animals and caring for them.&nbsp;
Having worked in an office for over 20 years, I decided last year that it was time to pursue my own interests by working with animals, providing them with the same care and attention, as I do my own.&nbsp;
I have been brought up with animals throughout my life, including dogs, cats, birds, hamsters, ferrets and fish. In addition to this, I volunteer for Cats Protection, German Shepherd Dog Rescue and Hockley FerretRescue.&nbsp;
Fully insured, first aid trained and DBS checked, I can provide continuity and excellent care tailored to your pet’s individual needs, as I am available throughout the week, weekends and for overnight stays.&nbsp;&nbsp;
I can provide solo dog walking, pet minding in your home and welfare visits. I'm happy to care for senior pets; those that require medication; or pets with special needs, behaviours or disabilities.&nbsp;
Whatever your requirements, I would be happy to meet and make arrangements to suit you. Please let me know if you have any special requests at the time of booking and during our introductory meeting, in order that I can ensure your pets are given the best service.&nbsp;&nbsp;


I gave up my office job to do something I love and I love animals and being outside especially in nature. I get to take dogs for walks and hang out with cats and other animals which is fun and rewarding. I've been dog walking and pet sitting for almost 2 years now and I care for your pets and your home as if they were my own. I grew up with dogs and cats in my home, so I have lots of experience. Unfortunately I cannot board any animals in my home as my cat would never allow it but I can come to your home. I offer dog walking, pet visits and house sitting and if you require it overnight stays as well. I am available morning, afternoon and evenings. I'm based in the South Benfleet area and I can travel around 2 miles to clients homes. I walk 1-2 dogs at a time and only if you're comfortable with another dog accompanying your dog on a walk. The dog walks are from an hour but if they are not comfortable going for walks I'll be happy to play with the pets/ keep them company in your home. During the pet/ house sit I will take in post, water plants, empty litter trays, refill food and water, take out/ bring in bins etc. I can stay with the pets for 1+ hours - all day. I usually take the dogs around local roads/parks on their walks depending on your preferences. I will adhere to any security requirements you need, i.e use of locks and alarms. I trained as a Vet for 4 years in my younger years before moving to Sports Science, but my love for animals has always remained.
I’ve worked in vets, farms, college, kennels/ Catteries, pet shop, grooming parlour and many more.
I’m unable to stay at a clients home overnight, however I do offer day care at the clients own home Mon-Fri at set times. No longer then 10 hours.
I’m super flexible during the weekdays (daytime) and can also be available for some weekends.
I’m self employed so my schedule is under my terms.
Weekends are only available booked 3 weeks in advance &amp; are charged at higher rate to weekdays, £50 weekday, £65 weekend.
If you would like your dog(s) walked I charge  £15 per walk / per hour. If you have 2 dogs from the same household it will be reduced to £10 for the 2nd dog.
I visit the owners home ahead of the sitting to become familiar with the animal &amp; build trust with it within its own home. There is no fee for this provided it is less then 5 miles away.

This is something i'm very passionate about, having experienced poor care of my animals whilst in the kennels/cattery. 
Growing up with cats, dogs, rabbits and bearded dragons (you name it, we had it) I currently own two cats, one male Bengal and one female Russian Blue and will be looking to rescue a dog in the very near future. After growing up with a very anxious cocker spaniel, I understand more than ever that the kennels aren't a happy place for the majority of pets. I strongly believe in your animals getting a holiday whilst you're on your holiday!
That’s why i am committed to pamper your fur-baby so that whilst you’re having a relaxing holiday, so are they!
I am happy to do overnight stays, daily check ins or even just long walks! I love keeping fit and going on long hikes and runs myself and what better way to do that than with a furry friend!
Assisting in all dietary needs and specific food requirements, alongside administering oral medication. As well as maintaining any form of regular training, so even when you're not around, your babies routine is still the same and their knowledge and growth is continuing.
It's important that you know your pet is being taken care of whilst youre away, that's why i'm happy to continously check in with you, with updates as well as pictures, however little or often you wish.
I do work, working for the emergency services on a shift pattern basis. Meaning i'll be able to tell you up to a year in advance exactly what days i am fully available as well as specific times and dates! If enough advance is given i may also be able to organise both working from home days and time off! ️I will ensure transparency is given when booking so you are aware of everything every step of the way!️
Working a shift pattern not every week can be the same for me, which i know can be scary as routine is important. I am still happy to continue to do home check ins and walks both before and after work as well as overnight stays should you be happy with your pet being unattended whilst i'm at work! It's not all negative, working a shift pattern ensures i am free on both weekdays and weekends whenever you may need it most! 
What safer person to have around your dog than someone who has gone through extreme vetting and checks to protect the public?
I am experienced in both large and small dog breeds and will never shy away from a challenge. I would love to take the time to meet your pet with you present beforehand, this allows for a peace of mind for you as well! 
From...dog walks, to daily check ins for food, attention and play time on both dogs and cats as well as overnight stays.

I have had cats all my life, I adore and love cats and currently have Otis, a mixes Norwegian Forest cat and Bernie, a long haired ginger moggy that is king if the street  Both of them are very different personalities that make me get up in the morning and ensure my day is full of smiles! I can care for them in your home and give them loads of cuddles, make sure they eat and drink as well as send you pictures so you know they are safe. 
I recently adopted a puppy from Bosnia, Ava, She is now almost 2 years old and I absolutely adore her! I am able to to visit you furry friends making sure they are well taken care of and sending you pics to say hello! 
I love animals, from mice to giraffes and put them in the forefront of my care. Brought up in Africa, I have a kinship with animals and will overcome any barriers so ensure they are loved and well looked after. 
I am also a professional foster carer for children and have a boy of 14 for 3 years.
