Are you going away but have a pet that prefers to stay in their own environment? Or perhaps you have a range of different animals and it’s not practical for you to organise for them to stay in different places? Then you might want to consider finding a Pawshake house sitter to come and stay at your Stevenage home while you are away.

House sitting is a convenient and affordable option when you have multiple pets and also want your house to be securely looked after while you are away. Many of our pet sitters have very reasonable house sitting rates because they enjoy staying and exploring different local neighbourhoods like Stevenage.

At Pawshake, we understand that trusting your home to a stranger can be a little daunting. So we’ve done all the hard work to ensure that your Pawshake house sitter is trustworthy and reliable. All our pet sitter profiles are checked individually by our dedicated trust and safety team and some house sitters also have their own police checks which they can share with you.

The best thing about engaging a Pawshake verified house sitter is that you can relax knowing that on top of being covered by The Pawshake Guarantee which includes veterinary coverage, so your pets are being cared for in a familiar environment and your Stevenage home is also being looked after as well.

In addition to looking after your pets, most of our house sitters will happily help you by collecting your mail, taking out the bins, and watering your plants. Just make sure you discuss all your requirements with your chosen house sitter prior to booking.

Hello! My name is Caio. I’m 33 years old, and I moved to Hertford two months ago. I have a degree in Veterinary Medicine in Brazil, and with extensive experience in caring for small animals.
Why did I choose this path?
Because, just like you, I have a deep passion for animals and a strong commitment to their well-being. So, there’s no better way to cope with missing my own dogs than helping you take care of your best friend, providing safe and fun walks!
What I offer:
Daily Walks: I take your dog for personalized walks, respecting their pace and needs – whether it's a calm walk or a more intense activity.
Physical Activities and Mental Stimulation: In addition to walks, I offer activities that stimulate both the body and mind of your pet, essential to maintain their physical and emotional balance.
Specialized Care: I have experience with senior pets, and for them, walks are always done at the right pace, with all the necessary care.
Why choose me?
Safety and Well-being: Your dog will be in good hands! Walks are planned based on your pet’s health, age, and energy level, always prioritizing their physical and emotional well-being.
If you’re looking for a professional with technical knowledge and an understanding of animal health, contact me! Together, we’ll ensure your pet has fun, care, and plenty of affection.
Important note: As my English isn’t perfect, we can communicate via chat or WhatsApp, if that works for you. I appreciate your understanding!
I’m available to answer any questions and schedule the first walk. Let’s take care of your pet’s health and happiness!

Hi,Looking for a pet sitter. I am a job seeker. I am looking to earn some pocket money by spending time with your cute furry beings. I am Available for house sitting your furry friend. I am also willing to take them on walks 2-3 times a day. I also can take care of them while you're away for the day. I have experience with dogs and cats and I absolutely love them. I was born and brought up in a house full of pets. I had 3 German shepherds and 1 saint Bernard while growing up. Recently, I had 3rd generation of a German shepherd in our home names Shadow the IIIrd. His birthday is 17 July. And he passed in his sleep at 5 years old.I had 2 parrots fish separately names Golu and Cookie. I had a variety of fishes like parrots, peacock, betas, sliver disks, gold fish and even angel fish. I was unable to keep a dog because I was working and my parents couldn't take care of it anymore. And then I moved here. My saint Bernard named Docxy was like my little baby, we used to eat, sleep and even watch cartoons together. I grew up with her. We eventually have to give her away as Delhi was not a suitable climate for her. I gave up food for 2 days just cause I was very upset with the decision. She came to see me later for 2-3 years and we used to sleep on one another crying. I love my baby. Haven't seen her for ages. I hope she's happy and healthy.Anyway, I love pets. To that extent that I have planned a future with my significant other where I am going to be a mom to 3-4 dogs, 2 cats and a huge aquarium full Of fishes. That's my dream.

Animal lover! Offering you and your pet safe, fun , structured care based on your preference. I'll take your lead, you give me theirs! As a pet owner trusting someone to take care of your pet is important, but also having someone understand how important they are to your family dynamic is equally as important. Growing up in a family that always has pets, being around and taking care of them is second nature to me. I'm 38, married and a dad of two lovely boys (7 and 3) and a Cat called Piper (2 years old). I'm currently flexible Monday - Friday in the evenings after work and at weekends. I'm Available for stay overs, house sitting, walks only, sit- ins and general pet company as needed. I'm Not currently available for overnight pet boarding but happy to care for your pet at my home during the day as I also work from home frequently. We have a house with a large open kitchen diner leading into a large, fully fenced safe garden, plenty of room to run around and have fun. Based in Hertford in Hertfordshire. Lots of close by pet friendly parks and walks very local to me. Passionate about keeping fit I regularly sync dog walks with my routine and I care for our extended family's dog Sydney during the day regularly. Available for dog walks for various lengths of time as needed and multiple times per day where required. Up to 3 dogs at a time. Trustworthy and reliable. Please Feel free to get in touch!

Hi! My name is Jessie and I am passionate about pets so much so that I work with them everyday!! I work at a luxury cat hotel caring for the needs of various breeds of cats while their owners are away. I have gained experience with all kinds of breeds and tempremant of cat including maine coons, cornish rexes, sphynx , moggies and many more!! But also dogs as well, as I have done dog walking and sitting for over 6 years now. I love cats and dogs alike! I own my own cat Nero who is a 14 year old tabby with a big personality and a spunky russian blue cross called Gretel along with my kitten Robyn!!I also have a level 2 diploma in feline care and behaviour which along with fundamental knowledge in caring for cats has taught me basic first aid skills which can also be applied to our doggy friends.

To work with animals has always been a huge goalof mine, thinking of becoming a vet was a first on my list but, I cannot dealwith blood or anything to do with the anatomy so that wasn't an option (pleasenote, if your pet is in a medical emergency, blood is the last thing on mymind. These animals are like my own and I will forever treat them like this, their health and welfare come before any rational fear).Working in a zoo was my next possibility, although none were close to my homeor my family, I also needed a 10 year+ degree, not just experience. My third option was this... And can I say, I have not ONCE regretted mydecision. Working with all these beautiful pets, watching how happy and lovedthey are, including those who care for wildlife out of their own hearts. The dedication and love I put into this 'job' is so fulfilling to not justmyself, but the clients I have and the pets they own. Please read mytestimonials, all about Me's or ask for references for proof of this.A true animal lover, whether big or small, I will love and work with them all. They are my passion, my life, my world but NEVER my 'job'. It's not something I'have' to do, but something I 'love' to do! Let me show you. I have volunteeredat farms, zoos, rescue centres and much more to get the knowledge of over 10years, to which I still know today.I have raised/rehabilitated over 30+ wild animals that were either abandoned orinjured. I stayed up throughout the night doing feeds, medications and so muchmore to get them in the best health they could be, to be free and happy.

These are fantastic for nervous dogs or under socialised dogs. Some of which consist of lakes should your dog enjoy a swim. Brillant in all types of weather , all year round, as they are well maintained spaces. For your peace of mind and your dogs saftey I am privately insured with a leading pet insurance provider.
I can cater for all dogs, whether they're high energy or if they need extra rest or sleep for extended periods of time. Whilst I appreciate the former, I cater for the latter too.For dogs with a lot of energy, a typical day with me consists of a couple of long walks. Some mental stimulation, obedience training to reinforce what they know or teaching of tricks. For low energy dogs, I can stick to short walks, tummy rubs, cuddles, and massages. Daily videos and photos will be sent to you for the duration of their stay.

Hi, we’re Gina & Ria - a mother & daughter cat-sitting duo.
We unintentionally fell into the wonderfully rewarding world of pet-sitting, after selling all our possessions to become digital nomads in June 2022.
We set off for what has been one of the best adventures of our lives, spending time in Thailand, Vietnam, Mauritius, Malaysia & the Canary Islands.
Last year we joined a housesit site and have fallen in love with so many cats that we are now completely hooked.
Gina is a retired teacher, author of 3 poetry and 1 short story book and a Happiness Coach.
Ria is an Empath coach, meditation teacher and Emotional Freedom Technique practitioner.
We are both vegan, animal lovers and reiki practitioners. We are often told by our clients that our great energy has a positive and calming effect on their kitties.
Two of our greatest loves are cats and travel.
That’s why it’s so important to us that your kitties receive all the love and stability they need whilst your away.
We understand that every cat is different and has it’s own personality, preferences and set of needs. Consequently we take the time to understand your cats unique needs so that we can tailor our approach and ensure your cats receive their upmost emotional and physical comfort.
We want you to be able to enjoy your time away knowing that your home and cat/s are being well taken care of.
We usually send daily updates, photos and videos so you can see your kitties are settled and happy.
