Top cities for house sitting in United Kingdom

Are you going away but have a pet that prefers to stay in their own environment? Or perhaps you have a range of different animals and it’s not practical for you to organise for them to stay in different places? Then you might want to consider finding a Pawshake house sitter to come and stay at your Stotfold home while you are away.

House sitting is a convenient and affordable option when you have multiple pets and also want your house to be securely looked after while you are away. Many of our pet sitters have very reasonable house sitting rates because they enjoy staying and exploring different local neighbourhoods like Stotfold.

At Pawshake, we understand that trusting your home to a stranger can be a little daunting. So we’ve done all the hard work to ensure that your Pawshake house sitter is trustworthy and reliable. All our pet sitter profiles are checked individually by our dedicated trust and safety team and some house sitters also have their own police checks which they can share with you.

The best thing about engaging a Pawshake verified house sitter is that you can relax knowing that on top of being covered by The Pawshake Guarantee which includes veterinary coverage, so your pets are being cared for in a familiar environment and your Stotfold home is also being looked after as well.

In addition to looking after your pets, most of our house sitters will happily help you by collecting your mail, taking out the bins, and watering your plants. Just make sure you discuss all your requirements with your chosen house sitter prior to booking.

I've recently moved to stevenage from hertford with my partner daryl where I was giving pet services to people in my local area for over 5+ years .we currently have a dog, which is a border collie who's 3 who's and very active and loves a long walk.I also have an indoor cat, Hugo who is 12 now, he loves a good belly rub just as much as our dog .Both our pets are very vocal .My family have animals that I help out.I've lived with animals all my life having had rabbits, hamsters I've administered medication into ears and mouths of pets or family animals .I will do cats and other small animals , clean them out and gives lots of cuddles .I would happily stay in your home overnight if necessary, or weekend away or if you chose to go over seas Your pets would be safe with me I can offer my services to those who live in Stevenage in my local area .

Hello! My name is Hannah and I am a veterinary nurse that works in an animal rescue veterinary hospital.
I understand how stressful it can be leaving your animal at any time, let alone with someone else and I am devoted to making sure your companion remains happy and cared for, in a stress free environment.
I regularly look after my friends and families animals for them and I have 10+ years experience in working with a range of different animals from cats and dogs, to farm animals. I am committed to animal welfare, am first aid qualified (including CPR) and am able to administer oral and injectable medications.
I understand that all animals are individuals and no one personality is the same, whether they prefer to be out and about exploring, or relaxing at home. I have experience in working with reactive dogs, dogs with separation anxiety, and those that require a little more patience and understanding. I know of lots of dog friendly safe spaces where I can take your four legged friend to allow them to have a satisfying time outside.
As well as my medical knowledge 🩺, I also have experience in dog training and behaviour, so if your companion requires that little extra care just let me know and I'll do my best to meet their needs.
If I am lucky enough to meet and care for your companion I will endeavour to send you updates of our time together
Due to also working in a veterinary hospital my availability may not consistently be the same but I am dedicated and I’d love to chat more about my experience and what I can offer you, so please feel free to get in touch.
Look forward to hearing from you. ️

I'm a student and an worker, but above all an animal lover. I love meeting new pets and interacting with them. I am looking in helping people in their time of need, having pets myself i know how challenging it can be leaving your pet alone or not being able to give it the full attention it needs. That's why I'm here to provide help for my clients when they need that extra support.I love animals and helping people that's why I'm willing to provide any type of suport to my fellow pet lovers. We are in this together.

Hi! I’m currently a student veterinary nurse with experience working in a veterinary clinic, where I’ve cared for animals of all sizes, including handling nervous or reactive dogs and cats. I’ve also volunteered with Cats Protection, helping with grooming, feeding, cleaning and basic medical care.

I have lots of experience caring for both cats and dogs, and I also share my home with a Syrian hamster. If you ever need someone to look after your hamster or other small pets, I’d be more than happy to help.

I recently started my own pet sitting business, Hitchin Pet Services, and I’m excited to continue growing it while providing the highest standard of care for every pet I meet. I’m fully insured and DBS checked, so you can have peace of mind knowing your pets are in safe hands.

I genuinely love caring for animals and will treat your pets with the same love, patience and attention as if they were my own. If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to get in touch. I’d love to meet you and your pets!

Please note that prices on Pawshake include Pawshake's service fees, so they may differ from my direct booking rates.

Hi, I'm Eloise! I'm a student veterinary nurse currently on placement for university and I love all animals! I have a kitten which I recently rescued from our veterinary practice. I love caring for all animals and I can't wait to meet all your lovely 4 legged members of the family! I can offer home visits for all pets as well as house sitting and also dog walking in all weathers and environments and can do a range of walks from short to long for your pets needs with an average walk of 30-40 minutes. I am able to dedicate substantial time and care to your pets whilst I am looking after them.
I have experience with all types of pets because of my job and also have experience at dog day care centres and pride myself on delivering care and compassion to all animals in my care.
I am reliable, organised, and attentive to detail, always following owners’ instructions closely to maintain pets’ routines. I understand how important consistency is for animals, and I take pride in creating a safe, calm, and positive experience while you are away. I give regular updates and photos to let you know how your pet is doing too.
Above all, I truly love working with animals. I treat every pet as if they were my own, offering patience, affection, and responsible care you can trust whilst you're away!

Hi! My name is Jessie and I am passionate about pets so much so that I work with them everyday!! I work at a luxury cat hotel caring for the needs of various breeds of cats while their owners are away. I have gained experience with all kinds of breeds and tempremant of cat including maine coons, cornish rexes, sphynx , moggies and many more!! But also dogs as well, as I have done dog walking and sitting for over 6 years now. I love cats and dogs alike! I own my own cat Nero who is a 14 year old tabby with a big personality and a spunky russian blue cross called Gretel along with my kitten Robyn!!I also have a level 2 diploma in feline care and behaviour which along with fundamental knowledge in caring for cats has taught me basic first aid skills which can also be applied to our doggy friends.

To work with animals has always been a huge goalof mine, thinking of becoming a vet was a first on my list but, I cannot dealwith blood or anything to do with the anatomy so that wasn't an option (pleasenote, if your pet is in a medical emergency, blood is the last thing on mymind. These animals are like my own and I will forever treat them like this, their health and welfare come before any rational fear).Working in a zoo was my next possibility, although none were close to my homeor my family, I also needed a 10 year+ degree, not just experience. My third option was this... And can I say, I have not ONCE regretted mydecision. Working with all these beautiful pets, watching how happy and lovedthey are, including those who care for wildlife out of their own hearts. The dedication and love I put into this 'job' is so fulfilling to not justmyself, but the clients I have and the pets they own. Please read mytestimonials, all about Me's or ask for references for proof of this.A true animal lover, whether big or small, I will love and work with them all. They are my passion, my life, my world but NEVER my 'job'. It's not something I'have' to do, but something I 'love' to do! Let me show you. I have volunteeredat farms, zoos, rescue centres and much more to get the knowledge of over 10years, to which I still know today.I have raised/rehabilitated over 30+ wild animals that were either abandoned orinjured. I stayed up throughout the night doing feeds, medications and so muchmore to get them in the best health they could be, to be free and happy.
