Top cities for house sitting in United Kingdom

Are you going away but have a pet that prefers to stay in their own environment? Or perhaps you have a range of different animals and it’s not practical for you to organise for them to stay in different places? Then you might want to consider finding a Pawshake house sitter to come and stay at your Thame home while you are away.

House sitting is a convenient and affordable option when you have multiple pets and also want your house to be securely looked after while you are away. Many of our pet sitters have very reasonable house sitting rates because they enjoy staying and exploring different local neighbourhoods like Thame.

At Pawshake, we understand that trusting your home to a stranger can be a little daunting. So we’ve done all the hard work to ensure that your Pawshake house sitter is trustworthy and reliable. All our pet sitter profiles are checked individually by our dedicated trust and safety team and some house sitters also have their own police checks which they can share with you.

The best thing about engaging a Pawshake verified house sitter is that you can relax knowing that on top of being covered by The Pawshake Guarantee which includes veterinary coverage, so your pets are being cared for in a familiar environment and your Thame home is also being looked after as well.

In addition to looking after your pets, most of our house sitters will happily help you by collecting your mail, taking out the bins, and watering your plants. Just make sure you discuss all your requirements with your chosen house sitter prior to booking.

Hi! My name is Lizzie and I love being with animals and in nature. I am a youthful, very responsible, calm and friendly 52 year old. I was brought up in the English countryside and have had dogs, cats and guinea pigs most of my life until more recently when life became unsuitable for owning pets because of travelling etc. I'm not much of a photo person so don't have many pics of me with animals as yet! :) More recently I have often taken care of my friend's two very sweet yorkie poos - Lalla from about 13 years ago until she sadly passed from lung cancer almost 2 years ago, and more recently Lalla's grandson Thor, a very bouncy, sweet 2 year old and ridiculously cute!I was inspired to try housesitting on my recent trip to Australia (my partner is from Victoria). We met with friends, one of whom is also housesitting, and two others who had lovely dogs I wished I could spend more time with.
In the past I have worked with children through social services, worked as a receptionist in a healthcare centre, and I now rent a room in my house on airbnb. I love to make people happy during their stay, and have been a 'superhost' for over 2 years. I love to spend time with animals - and I greatly miss having a pet. My priority will always be to ensure that your pet is taken care of according to their needs - whether they like to play, cuddle or just be, whether they are excited or anxious, I will help them feel relaxed and allow them to set the pace of our interaction.
I need to be able to get home easily for airbnb things, and I'm currently carless so a bit limited with distance, but I'm happy to meet owners and animals before a sit starts, especially as I'm new on this site, to put potential pet parents at ease, and I can do a sit at short notice. I'm very much looking forward to meeting you and your beloved pets!

I am the proud owner of two beautiful British short hairs. I am so lucky to have grown up with dogs around me, and cannot wait till my partner and I get one of our own. I will treat , respect and care for your pet as I do for my own. I will ensure to cater for the needs of each individual pet.
I currently am in a full-time job where I work from home 3 days a week.I'm at home most weekends. When working from home, I'm able to do lunchtime walks as well as evening walks. And if scheduled correctly, I can also do morning walks on work from home days or weekends.
I have a fenced back garden, and also have my own car to pick up and transport your pet whenever needed. I live close to a large open area as well as Woodland good for walks.

Hello!
Ideally I am looking for jobs easily walkable to in Jericho/Walton Manor/Summertown/city centre as the city is difficult to navigate across and it takes time!
I am a PT nurse. I am an ex police officer and have worked with dog handlers on many jobs. I have now done many dog/cat++ sits over the last year together with my son who is looking for cat/fish sits in Bristol from 1 October 2023.
As a child, we had a Cairn Terrier, Rabbie, which I took to dog training classes. We also had guinea pigs and a siamese cat, Tara. I also walked my sister's various Heinz dogs (2 were rescue) when I visited her.
I am not in a position to have my own dog at the moment, but would like to walk dogs and do dog sitting, as I am a dog and animal lover and want to keep fit. I am happy to feed dogs too if required.
I charge £15 for a 30 minute walk and £20 for an hour. £5 per half hour for another dog.
I believe dog companionship is good therapy for well being.
I would like to do dog sitting my rate is £38 a night. I am looking forward to walking in the meadow, canal and river paths and parks with a four legged friend!
Looking forward to hearing from you!

Hi, I am Aimee. I am Uni student studying in Winchester. I have some spare free time so time to look after your pets!

I am a reliable, patient and loving pet sitter who is available for dog walking, drop ins, pet sits and overnight stays. I have had experience doing every single one of these.

I love spending time with animals. I will provide high-quality care which meets your needs and requirements. Your pet will be in the safe hands.

I have been caring for animals since late August but have looked after pets of family and friends for three years.

I have had experience with a various of breeds in dogs and know the importance of building bonds by affection and lots of cuddles. Your dog will have lots of fun on it's walks, through muddy puddles and lots of adventures in fields, woods and through the local neighbourhood etc.

I offer dog walking, drop-ins and house sitting (daytime and overnight).

Hi, I’m Elle, and I’ve grown up around dogs my entire life. From dog walking and house sitting to caring for multiple breeds, looking after dogs has always been second nature to me. I’m the proud owner of Frankie, a wire-haired Hungarian Vizsla, and I’ve also cared for everything from energetic pups to a household of five dachshunds.
I love spending time outdoors and going on long countryside walks, so your dog will enjoy plenty of exercise, fresh air, and fun while in my care. My home offers a fully fenced and secure garden with double gates for added safety, giving dogs a safe space to play and relax.
Frankie is friendly, sociable, and loves meeting new dogs—her idea of fun is usually a running race! Alongside dogs, we have a very calm tortoise, which most dogs find fascinating. You can trust that your dog will be cared for in a safe, loving, and active environment where their happiness always comes first

Please note - I am more suited to cat sitting due to having another job and working full time. However my shifts vary so please enquire and I'll get back to you as soon as possible.
I am a true animal lover! I have two dogs, aged 7 and 8, who I’ve had since puppies. I also have a 4 month old Cockapoo puppy. I have also owned cats, guinea pigs and hamsters. I always loved animals, especially dogs, since I was little.
I have looked after neighbours, friends and family’s pets. I would love to do more of what I love and help people look after their dogs when they need it. I offer house sitting, drop ins and 1-1 dog walking.
I do have another job where I work shifts so my availability is dependant. I like to think I treat them as my own - with lots of fuss, love and cuddles. I am also more than happy to provide owners with photos and updates if they wish! I really am not doing this for the money, I want to do more of something I love and am passionate about.

Animal Adora
Hi my name is Pacha I work part time as a gardener and . I would love to fill the rest of my time looking after animals as that is a much greater passion of mine. I have always been completely surrounded by animals with a large variety of different furry friends at home.

I am very good at matching animals energy as well, if that been needing to run around with them or relaxing in a garden. I can ensure animals in my care are always well cared and loved when with me.
I understand that animals have routines they need to keep to and will do my best to create the same environment and lifestyle there use to when in my care.

Hi, my name is Hector, I am from Mexico and I absolutely love dogs! I have a dog back in Mexico who I miss so much, I rescued aquaria 5 years ago from the streets and I can't wait to bring her to the UK one day!
I enjoy so much walking dogs, get to know their personality and provide them a safe space where they feel the companion and the love.
I offer my services as a dog walker but also I can take care of them at your own house.
My biggest motivation in this job is to build the confidence on your dogs, make them feel love and entertained.
I do a lot of dog walks back home with my own dog and my friends dogs. Every day we go into adventures to the park, to the beach, just long walks at sunsets so I thought why not to do it here in Oxford.
I hope to meet you and your dogs soon

Please note: I do not drive - I reach people’s homes by bike or bus.
