Top cities for house sitting in United Kingdom

Are you going away but have a pet that prefers to stay in their own environment? Or perhaps you have a range of different animals and it’s not practical for you to organise for them to stay in different places? Then you might want to consider finding a Pawshake house sitter to come and stay at your Towersey home while you are away.

House sitting is a convenient and affordable option when you have multiple pets and also want your house to be securely looked after while you are away. Many of our pet sitters have very reasonable house sitting rates because they enjoy staying and exploring different local neighbourhoods like Towersey.

At Pawshake, we understand that trusting your home to a stranger can be a little daunting. So we’ve done all the hard work to ensure that your Pawshake house sitter is trustworthy and reliable. All our pet sitter profiles are checked individually by our dedicated trust and safety team and some house sitters also have their own police checks which they can share with you.

The best thing about engaging a Pawshake verified house sitter is that you can relax knowing that on top of being covered by The Pawshake Guarantee which includes veterinary coverage, so your pets are being cared for in a familiar environment and your Towersey home is also being looked after as well.

In addition to looking after your pets, most of our house sitters will happily help you by collecting your mail, taking out the bins, and watering your plants. Just make sure you discuss all your requirements with your chosen house sitter prior to booking.

10+ years Experienced Veterinary Rehabilitation Assistant | Trusted Care for Dogs, Cats & Horses
Caring for animals has always been more than just a job for me it's something I genuinely love. Over the years, I've had the privilege of working with a wide variety of dogs, cats, and horses, each with their own unique personalities, needs, and quirks. I understand how important it is to find someone you can trust with your pet, and I take that responsibility seriously.I pride myself on providing calm, patient, and compassionate care tailored to each animal. I have a particular soft spot for nervous or anxious pets and enjoy helping them gain confidence and feel comfortable in my company. Whether your pet loves long walks, play sessions, enrichment activities, or simply having someone nearby for reassurance and cuddles, I'll make sure they feel happy and secure.
My goal is always to maintain your pet's routine as closely as possible while giving them plenty of attention, affection, and care, so you can enjoy your time away with complete peace of mind.
Walks are always tailored to your dogs age, fitness levels and individual needs. I typically offer walks from 30mins- couple of hours. I generally avoid leaving your animal for long periods and will always discuss there individual needs beforehand. I'll always provide regular updates photos and videos during there stay so you can see how they're getting on.
My working hours are Monday-Friday 8:30am-4:30pm. But I am able to pop in during my lunch hour if needed for nearby pets that need company or a toilet break. I will always provide a good walk in the morning before work and another walk in the evening.

Hi, I’m Elle, and I’ve grown up around dogs my entire life. From dog walking and house sitting to caring for multiple breeds, looking after dogs has always been second nature to me. I’m the proud owner of Frankie, a wire-haired Hungarian Vizsla, and I’ve also cared for everything from energetic pups to a household of five dachshunds.
I love spending time outdoors and going on long countryside walks, so your dog will enjoy plenty of exercise, fresh air, and fun while in my care. My home offers a fully fenced and secure garden with double gates for added safety, giving dogs a safe space to play and relax.
Frankie is friendly, sociable, and loves meeting new dogs—her idea of fun is usually a running race! Alongside dogs, we have a very calm tortoise, which most dogs find fascinating. You can trust that your dog will be cared for in a safe, loving, and active environment where their happiness always comes first

Please note - I am more suited to cat sitting due to having another job and working full time. However my shifts vary so please enquire and I'll get back to you as soon as possible.
I am a true animal lover! I have two dogs, aged 7 and 8, who I’ve had since puppies. I also have a 4 month old Cockapoo puppy. I have also owned cats, guinea pigs and hamsters. I always loved animals, especially dogs, since I was little.
I have looked after neighbours, friends and family’s pets. I would love to do more of what I love and help people look after their dogs when they need it. I offer house sitting, drop ins and 1-1 dog walking.
I do have another job where I work shifts so my availability is dependant. I like to think I treat them as my own - with lots of fuss, love and cuddles. I am also more than happy to provide owners with photos and updates if they wish! I really am not doing this for the money, I want to do more of something I love and am passionate about.

I am always looking for ways to develop my skills if that means volunteering, researching or studying animal-related courses.
My last couple months of doggy experience have come from volunteering on the app ‘BorrowMyDoggy’

I am comfortable with all pets such as dogs, cats, rodents, reptiles and fish.

I grew up on a small farm, where I was responsible for looking after dogs, cats, chickens, and rabbits. This taught me from an early age how to care for animals with love and dedication.
To refresh my knowledge and ensure I provide the best possible care, I have completed a Pet Sitting and Dog Walking diploma & Pet First Aid Course.
I've always had a deep love for animals, especially dogs. After some time away from regularly being around them, I realized how much I missed that special connection. Becoming a pet sitter felt like the perfect way to reconnect with that joy—while also helping others care for their beloved pets I am a responsible, caring, and reliable pet sitter who treats every animal as if they were my own.
I am working from home, twice per week 2-3 hours online. This means I have plenty of free time and flexibility in my schedule to provide dedicated, reliable care for your pets.
