Are you going away but have a pet that prefers to stay in their own environment? Or perhaps you have a range of different animals and it’s not practical for you to organise for them to stay in different places? Then you might want to consider finding a Pawshake house sitter to come and stay at your Turvey home while you are away.

House sitting is a convenient and affordable option when you have multiple pets and also want your house to be securely looked after while you are away. Many of our pet sitters have very reasonable house sitting rates because they enjoy staying and exploring different local neighbourhoods like Turvey.

At Pawshake, we understand that trusting your home to a stranger can be a little daunting. So we’ve done all the hard work to ensure that your Pawshake house sitter is trustworthy and reliable. All our pet sitter profiles are checked individually by our dedicated trust and safety team and some house sitters also have their own police checks which they can share with you.

The best thing about engaging a Pawshake verified house sitter is that you can relax knowing that on top of being covered by The Pawshake Guarantee which includes veterinary coverage, so your pets are being cared for in a familiar environment and your Turvey home is also being looked after as well.

In addition to looking after your pets, most of our house sitters will happily help you by collecting your mail, taking out the bins, and watering your plants. Just make sure you discuss all your requirements with your chosen house sitter prior to booking.

Hi, I’m Elaine! I speak Cantonese, Mandarin, and English. I used to be a Vet assistant in Hong Kong , where I enjoyed caring for pets in all kinds of situations, especially elderly ones.
I’m experienced in handling medication and injections. It’s been a true pleasure to serve over 139 families and care for over 200 pets in Hong Kong.
For me, pet sitting isn’t just a job – it’s a true passion. I believe every pet deserves love, care, and attention, especially when their owners can’t be with them.
One helping an elderly lady with her kidney-affected cat was a deeply inspiring experience. She couldn't manage daily fluids due to anxious issues, so I visited daily over Christmas and New Year to care for the cat, comforted and played with it, and sent updates to her daughter. The owner's words, “I don’t know what I would’ve done without you,” deeply touched me and affirmed my purpose.

Hey! I'm Louise your new favourite pet sitter :) I'm an 18 year old animal lover who grew up around my family's pets but couldn't have my own as my parents have allergies :( I grew up pet sitting from age 14 to earn pocket money and now would love to meet your lovely animals. Firstly I will absolutely be sending you updates on your babies especially in case of emergencies. I like to ensure each owner I work with has told me exactly what to do in case of an emergency and anything to look out for for your animals. If looking after multiple animals expect a lot of updates and I'm experienced looking after multiple animals. The highest amount of animals I had at one go was 5 though I don't know id go beyond that as it is a lot. I love going on long walks with dogs as I love to be outside, walks typically can range from an hour to 2 and a half depending on what your animals like, but am also happy to sit at home and practice tricks and help train them. I prefer to keep dogs on a leash at first as I've found sometimes they get cheeky with new people And want to keep them safe. I respect animals as if they were people because that's what they deserve, i prefer the company of a animal than a human anyday! When it comes to nervous pets I show a lot of patience and sit and talk gently to them until they feel more comfortable, I also make sure to respect their boundaries regarding touching as I know not every pet always wants affection. I have experience with cats, dogs, bunnies, horses and even ferrets and I've got along with all! I've mainly looked after older animals but I also love the babies too! I know it's important to a lot of parents to keep a schedule and I have no problem learning your animals schedules and getting used to their routines. I'm available 99% of the time even if it's last minute as I work from home so drop me a message if you need someone asap. I look after my boyfriends familys pets frequently, it started just being my boyfriends dogs but they ended up recomending me to the rest of the family as they were slightly older and couldn't always be Home to Look after their pets. I hope you consider me I promise your pets will love me!

Hi, I'm Liliana and I offer pet sitting services at your home.
I'm an animal lover. I'm a proud owner of 2 lovely cats, Twigg and Izzie. I grew up with lots of cats at home. I've rescued and taken care of dozens of cats throughout my life. I was a foster cat carer for over 2 years. I have experience taking care of cats of all ages and with different personalities ;)
I'm also happy and comfortable around other animals such as, dogs, birds, hamsters, you name it!
I'm available to visit your home to check on your little ones when you are away, give them lots of cuddles, clean the litter box, feed them, change the water and whatever is needed for them to feel loved and happy. I can pop in once or twice a day (morning and evening - I'm flexible) and water plants, opening/closing curtains or other house sitting tasks. My visits usually take between 30 and 60 mins depending on your requirements and tasks required.
I can also house sit your home if you feel you prefer having someone around your pet overnight.
I have a driving licence and own car if you ever require your cat to be taken to the vet.
Feel free to get in touch in case you need any help.

Loving and experienced pet sitter offering care, comfort, and fun for your furry friends. Safe environment and personalized attention guaranteed!Hi, my name is Guilherme, and I’ve always had a deep love for animals. Growing up surrounded by pets, I learned the importance of giving them the love, care, and attention they deserve. My goal as a pet sitter is to provide a safe, comfortable, and fun environment for your furry friends while you're away.I have experience caring for pets of different sizes and temperaments, ensuring each one receives personalized care. Whether it’s walks, playtime, or cuddles, I’m dedicated to keeping your pet happy and stress-free. I also maintain routines to make them feel at home. For your peace of mind, I only accept vaccinated pets to ensure everyone stays healthy and safe. I can’t wait to meet you and your four-legged companion to provide them with a loving and unforgettable experience!

Hi there! My names Gray, though on legal terms its Rhiannon. I have looked after pets for many years of my life, from my own personal dogs, cats and rats, to pets around my family! I have much experience handling any dog, whether it's small or big, playful or reactive. I have no problems handling any size of dog. I also adore cats and other pets! I have taken a pet sitting course and dog walking course which is CDP approved , have been DBS checked and have my own insurance outside of pawshake to ensure that I am covered to look after your pet. I also know how to give care to senior animals , and know how to give medication like tablets and any injections needed, alongside knowing basic first aid for your pets if it is ever needed! When it comes to pet sitting and dog walking , i know that keeping the pet happy and content is what comes first. Doing walks your dogs know when i first start walking them is key , as it doesn't stress them out with a new area. Making sure your pet meets me before i come to look after then in a place they recongise is also key! Ensuring they are comfortable with me and will have a good time with me is what i like to ensure, as i know you will also want your pet happy. In emergencies, i know basic first aid knowledge, so anything minor i can assure you i know how t odeal with, alongside knowing how to give CPR for your animal if it is needed. I also know to ensure i have the number for your usual vet and the emergency vet , incase the pet has to go, while also being insured so there is no worries. My avalibility depends on if i have bookings on other sites, since i am trying to promote myself as much as possible, But i work on a first come first server basis so if you book me before anyone on another site does, no matter the price i will accept your booking first. I ultimately just want to be able to give you the peace of mind that someone you can trust is looking after your pet, always ensuring meet and greets happen before hand so i can make sure you and your pet are happy to book me! I also stick to your pets routine as close as i can to ensure that the disruption of someone else looking after them is limited as much as possible, as no one wants a stressed out pet. But i am perfectly flexible as long as i do not have other commitments going on, so i am free to chop and change things as or when you need. My goal is to be there as much as possible for you and the pets, not have you in the dark if i will follow out on my obligations. I adore animals and ultimately just want to be someone who is able to help give the care they deserve and of course give them all the love they must have! I am happy to keep owners completely up to date when i am with their pets, whether that be photos from walks to activities we would be doing in your home, to even just them sleeping if you wish. Communication is key and i believe keeping good communication between myself and the owners is the best way to go. Walks can be as long or as short as needed, just please keep in mind i am currently saving to learn to drive so i am reliant on public transport, this may mean i can not do walks super early in the morning (6am) if i have to travel to get to you.

My name is Samantha and I have so much love for animals and I am passionate about their care. I look after predominantly dogs. I have grown up with dogs most of my life.
I started dog sitting for friends and family about 5 years ago and found it to be such a joy and meaningful experience.
I taught myself to understand the needs for dogs. Including, behavioural characteristics, different care when it comes to age, i.e looking after a puppy compared to a senior dog. I also have experience in administrating medical care for dogs.
So when it comes to taking care of your animal, I believe I am the person for you.
Every dog I look after deserves the best love and best care.
At the end of the day, they want to be loved and made to feel safe. I think that is especially important when their owner is absent. Letting them know that you are there to take care of them and to be looked after in the best way is so important.
My normal routine when dog sitting depends on the owner's specific needs for their pet.
I will feed the dog in the morning, play with them, give them cuddles, walk them for around 45 minutes to an hour. Make sure they are happy and hydrated. Give them dinner in the evening. If needed, I'll make sure any medication is administered. I also send photo updates and any other updates to the owner to help them feel happy and reassured that their beloved pet is being taken care of to the highest standard.
My personal experience with dogs has always been very straightforward. I have had to give a little training here and there, in regards to improving behavioural characteristics meaning pulling on leads, barking at people or other animals whilst on walks etc
I like to think of myself as considerate and caring and someone who only wants the best for animals. All they really want is love and it is up to us to make them feel that.

I've been running my own business since 2021, it first started up during college with friends and family so I could get collect hours to pass my course and from there my passion blossomed. I do have my own pets which are rabbits and crested geckos who I love with all my heart and with this passion for animals I put that towards the animals and clients I care for during the time I stay and look after them. Please ask for my personal pricing list.
Currently pet sitting is my full time job so I have lots of availability, I am working on being more confident in myself especially with my personal experience and knowledge that I carry with me. I do work with smaller animals more often then larger dogs or pets but i definitely want to be very open to these experiences and learn more about how to care for these animals even if at first I may find it a bit more difficult especially with being a shorter or less stronger person I will find my own ways to make it work.
My main focus in the way I pet sit it to make it the most comfortable and seamless experience for your pets, I put myself in your shoes and recreate their routine so they won't stress and can be happy waiting for you to come home and see them again
Before we confirm or follow through with my services I do provide a free meeting where I can come round and meet you and the pets, I collect any extra information and instructions but this is mostly just a taster to see if me and your animals will get along. I do love to update and send loads of photos continuously thought out my pet sitting, but even with drop ins I'll send a quick picture and update of how they are doing and if anything has changed in their behaviour.
I do have my own personal pricing list, where I state for 30 minutes walks to hour walks, I do day time sitting which is 10-12 hours, I have separated hour drop ins, I do overnight and premium 24 hour care which includes a walk. But I also have a weekly sitting package which is Monday to Friday day sitting and come with two free overnight stays. I do charge a distance fee since unfortunately I do not drive but I do have someone that does drive me so I pay them for their services. And finally I do charge a cancellation fee if you cancel a week within the selected dates that I was supposed to perform my services (this does not include walks) and last minute booking for emergency drop ins or stays.

I’m a caring, patient and responsible pet lover who genuinely enjoys spending time with animals. I’ve always had a soft spot for pets and grew up with cats in Sri Lanka, so caring for animals has been a natural part of my life for many years. I also regularly help care for a cat, so I’m comfortable with feeding, playtime, keeping pets company and making sure they feel safe, relaxed and cared for.
I’m currently offering cat visits, dog walking and house sitting. For cat visits, I can provide feeding, fresh water, litter care, playtime and plenty of attention, while following your pet’s usual routine and any specific instructions you leave. I understand that cats can have very different personalities, so I’m happy to give a shy cat space or spend more time playing and cuddling with a sociable one.
I’m also keen to build my experience with dogs through dog walking. I’m comfortable starting with friendly, manageable dogs and will always take the time to understand their personality, routine and walking needs before a booking.
I’m mainly available at weekends and will always treat your home and your pet with care and respect. I’ll follow your instructions carefully and keep you updated during visits so you can enjoy your time away knowing your pet is being looked after.
My priority is simple: happy pets, peace of mind for their owners, and a reliable service you can feel comfortable booking again.

Hello I'm Shannon, a dedicated, full-time in-home pet sitter with a passion for creating comfort and trust for every animal i care for.
For over a year now, I’ve been lucky enough to build wonderful relationships with my clients and their pets. many of whom have become regulars (some even trust me with their keys year-round!).
Animals have always been at the heart of my life. I share my home with my two beloved cats, Narla and Billy, who inspired me to offer the same level of love and consistency to others’ pets.
In April 2025, I spent a month volunteering at a cat shelter in Portugal, caring for over 250 cats — an unforgettable experience that deepened my love for animal care. I’ve also volunteered teaching English to Polish locals, and I’m always looking for ways to connect with people and animals through kindness, travel, and growth.
I specialise in staying in your pet’s own home, offering 24-hour companionship and consistency. This allows your pets to remain in familiar surroundings, follow their usual routines, and avoid the stress of kennels or catteries.
They receive constant care and comfort — day and night — so you can enjoy peace of mind knowing they’re safe, loved, and completely at ease while you’re away

I’ve been a self-proclaimed "crazy cat lady" for as long as I can remember, and my passion for cats has only grown over the past six years. From playful kittens to sleepy seniors, my heart flutters whenever I see them. My experience includes caring for a cat with bronchitis for four years, which involved giving medication, nightly nebulizing treatments, and ensuring comfort. Grooming, such as brushing fur and cleaning ears, is part of our daily routine as i pwned a Persian cat with long coat. I take pride in maintaining a tidy and calm environment for them. Beyond tasks, I’ve developed a deep understanding of cats’ moods and needs, whether they’re in the mood for play, food, or a cozy nap. Each cat’s unique personality fascinates me, and I love getting to know them. I’d be delighted to be your go-to cat-sitter, offering love, care, and plenty of snuggles to your feline friend(s) while you’re away!
