Are you going away but have a pet that prefers to stay in their own environment? Or perhaps you have a range of different animals and it’s not practical for you to organise for them to stay in different places? Then you might want to consider finding a Pawshake house sitter to come and stay at your West Horndon home while you are away.

House sitting is a convenient and affordable option when you have multiple pets and also want your house to be securely looked after while you are away. Many of our pet sitters have very reasonable house sitting rates because they enjoy staying and exploring different local neighbourhoods like West Horndon.

At Pawshake, we understand that trusting your home to a stranger can be a little daunting. So we’ve done all the hard work to ensure that your Pawshake house sitter is trustworthy and reliable. All our pet sitter profiles are checked individually by our dedicated trust and safety team and some house sitters also have their own police checks which they can share with you.

The best thing about engaging a Pawshake verified house sitter is that you can relax knowing that on top of being covered by The Pawshake Guarantee which includes veterinary coverage, so your pets are being cared for in a familiar environment and your West Horndon home is also being looked after as well.

In addition to looking after your pets, most of our house sitters will happily help you by collecting your mail, taking out the bins, and watering your plants. Just make sure you discuss all your requirements with your chosen house sitter prior to booking.

I’m a friendly, reliable and genuinely animal obsessed dog sitter who has grown up around dogs my whole life. Being 27 and having lived in a dog household since I was young means I’m confident handling all types of dogs, from tiny high energy breeds to large, strong dogs and older companions who need a gentler pace.
I offer dog walking, drop ins and home boarding or daycare. I’m used to managing different routines, personalities and needs, and I tailor each day to the dog, whether they need long stimulating walks, structured play, slow calming time or a predictable routine. I’m also comfortable giving oral medication, sticking to training rules and supporting dogs who are nervous or still learning.
For boarding and daycare, dogs stay in my family home which is quiet, safe and dog friendly. We have a fully enclosed garden and a big field just three minutes away, so dogs get plenty of safe exercise and sniffing time. Dogs are never left alone for long, and I always follow the owner’s preferences for feeding, crate use, boundaries and behaviour.
Safety is always my priority. Owners provide their dog’s usual lead or harness, and I handle them confidently on walks, keeping distance from overstimulating dogs and calmly redirecting excitement or pulling. At home, I keep doors and gates secured and make sure the environment is calm and predictable, especially for anxious or first time boarders.

Hi! I’m Halle, an animal lover with a lifelong passion caring for pets.
I love giving animals cuddles and attention, but I’m just as happy keeping them company while they relax. I have hands-on experience such as currently working in a kennel and cattery, where I care for cats and dogs through walking, feeding, administering medication, cleaning, and ensuring their health and safety. I’ve also completed courses in animal behaviour and hold a Pet Psychology Diploma.

Growing up, my home was always full of animals, and I’ve rescued several along the way. My most recent, Marshmallow, a sweet cat with medical issues and an unfortunate feral background. He taught me the importance of patience and gentle care. I am very comfortable working with anxious or nervous animals, always focusing on helping them feel secure and minimising stress.

I know how hard it is to leave your pets, so I treat every animal as if they were my own by offering love, attention, and consistent care. I’m also happy to keep you updated for extra peace of mind. Nothing makes me happier than helping animals feel safe, comfortable, and loved, whether through cuddles, companionship, or attentive care tailored to their needs🤍

You could probably open a zoo with the amount of animals I've had to look after / own / care for! My childhood has always been surrounded by furry friends and even when younger my parents used to dog sit! I've got a little experience of playing and looking after ferrets and cats but my biggest knowledge is dogs of all ages and sizes. I'm available throughout the day at different times but happy to adjust to your animal's needs if there's a specific time required. If your animal is a nervous one, we can arrange a meet up so that it's not a stranger on their first meet in their home. Home visits can be adjusted, I set the times for 30 mins or an hour but if more / less is needed just let me know. Walks can also be adjusted depending on the fitness level, age and demand of your pet. I also love taking photos so the chances are you'll have a pet photoshoot included! By day to day I'm cabin crew due to my restricted flying hours I get a lot of time off and with plans to hopefully buy my own home next year with my partner, I'm looking to earn some extra money to help us get there a little bit quicker! It's vital for an animal to get their daily walks and exercise and sometimes life gets in the way of being able to get them the full attention they deserve. If you have any questions, doubts or worries, drop me a message and I'm always happy to send updated pictures and messages to reassure you that your furry child is in great hands!

Hi, I'm Ainhoa Isabel. I have been a pet sitter, but most of my experience has come from taking care of cats in owners' homes or bringing them into my home, although I have two twin cats. They're not unfriendly with other cats and at the end they get along very well and they even play around the house.
And also I have dog walking frequently with medium and firm dogs, the overall experience has been patient with gain the trust and love for the days time by time so it does get comfortable walking with the doggie. For example by making them run and release that energy playing with toys which also allows them keep it exercised.
So the routine i follow while I am pet sitting a dog is supervise they make their needs and then I start exercising them while also enjoy playing.I'm allowed to enjoy with the pets and also take care of their health and their needs, so at the end, if you give me the opportunity and the responsibility, I'll do my best for you and your pet.I can take pets with their regular vaccines and also pets that haven't been exposed to other cats to my home.
Thank you, and feel free to contact me

I am a reliable, responsible, and genuinely caring pet sitter who understands that entrusting someone with your pet requires complete confidence. I take that responsibility seriously and ensure every animal in my care feels safe, comfortable, and well looked after at all times.

Professional Dog Walking & Pet Care Services in LondonI offer reliable, caring, and professional dog walking and pet care services across London. Animals have been an important part of my life since childhood — I grew up surrounded by pets and have cared for many dogs and other animals over the years. This lifelong passion naturally led me to work professionally with animals. As my experience grew, I also assisted veterinarians in Ukraine, where I gained strong hands-on knowledge of animal behaviour, basic health monitoring, and proper daily care. This background allows me to confidently work with dogs of all breeds, sizes, ages, and temperaments, always prioritising their safety, comfort, and wellbeing.Daily routine & walksEach day is structured around the dogs’ needs. Walks are planned based on energy level, weather conditions, and owner preferences. Before each booking, I take time to learn about your dog’s routine, personality, and any special requirements. For senior dogs or dogs that require a gentler pace, I provide slower walks, extra patience, and attentive care.Safety & emergency handlingSafety is always my top priority. I use secure leads and harnesses when needed, closely monitor dogs for signs of stress or fatigue, and avoid unsafe situations. Thanks to my veterinary assistance background, I am calm and organised in unexpected situations. In case of illness, injury, or emergency, I follow owner instructions, provide basic first-response care if appropriate, and contact the owner immediately.Reliability & communicationI offer flexible services in the morning, afternoon, and evening.
