I took early retirement from the Criminal Justice System nearly 10 years ago and I’ve now decided to turn my passion for dogs into something that I can do in my spare time. I am of course fully DBS checked and insured with the nations leading pet insurer Petplan, but more important than anything, I just love dogs! I’ve had dogs literally from the moment I was born and my favourites are big dogs such as Border Collies, German Shepherds, Retrievers and Labradors.

I have experience in training and handling deaf dogs as my previous border collie was deaf and I taught her how we could communicate by me using hand signals and we went on to obtain our bronze and silver good citizen awards. I have also taken my current dog scent training and to Hoopers Agility as she has arthritis. I’m quite happy looking after and medicating old or infirm dogs and we can provide our own doggy pushchair if need be. 

I’m first aid trained, have attended dog massage and alternative therapy workshops, agility classes and have experience in animal healing and reiki.

Another passion of mine is travelling and exploring and I am happy to travel to sits that are in areas of interest to me if they suit us both.

I love all animals! Having grown up with a rescue dog in the family myself and living, on and around farms, I've learnt to love every pet.I've previously pet sit for friends and neighbours so I have experience pet sitting, also living on a working farm in Poland, Ive learnt to look after multiple dogs, cats goats and other livestock (not that you would have livestock as pets)!Just like us, all animals are different, and I try to be attentive to specific needs or behaviours to make pets feel comfortable, like sticking to their routines or accommodating any special requirements they may have.After moving out, I've not seen my little Jack Russel, Diesel, in quite some time and would love to care for your pets just as I have mine!I am generally more experienced with dogs, however not a stranger to working with other animals too!I am a non-smoker, and will treat your house with utmost respect, everything will be left as found.


Hello my name is Nic, I am 25 and used to work as a registered veterinary nurse, I have lived with animals my whole life. I am happy to give injections and oral medications to animals if needed.&nbsp;
I love spending time with animals, whether that be going for long walks or cuddles at home. There is nothing better than pet cuddles whether that be dog, cat, hamster or toirtoise etc.

The only animals I don't think I can provide the best care for is rabbits and birds as I have had a lot less experience with these animals as an owner. However, I am eager to learn more about these species.
