Top cities for house sitting in United Kingdom

Are you going away but have a pet that prefers to stay in their own environment? Or perhaps you have a range of different animals and it’s not practical for you to organise for them to stay in different places? Then you might want to consider finding a Pawshake house sitter to come and stay at your West Parley home while you are away.

House sitting is a convenient and affordable option when you have multiple pets and also want your house to be securely looked after while you are away. Many of our pet sitters have very reasonable house sitting rates because they enjoy staying and exploring different local neighbourhoods like West Parley.

At Pawshake, we understand that trusting your home to a stranger can be a little daunting. So we’ve done all the hard work to ensure that your Pawshake house sitter is trustworthy and reliable. All our pet sitter profiles are checked individually by our dedicated trust and safety team and some house sitters also have their own police checks which they can share with you.

The best thing about engaging a Pawshake verified house sitter is that you can relax knowing that on top of being covered by The Pawshake Guarantee which includes veterinary coverage, so your pets are being cared for in a familiar environment and your West Parley home is also being looked after as well.

In addition to looking after your pets, most of our house sitters will happily help you by collecting your mail, taking out the bins, and watering your plants. Just make sure you discuss all your requirements with your chosen house sitter prior to booking.

Hi! I'm Gleisa, an experienced and reliable pet sitter based in BH1, Bournemouth.I've always loved animals and have over 3 years of experience caring for dogs, cats, rabbits, chickens and fish. Most of my clients have come through recommendations from friends and neighbours.I work Hybrid, so during house sitting your pet will have plenty of company, attention and supervision throughout most of the days. I believe pets are happiest in their own home, following their usual routine, and I'll care for yours as if they were my own.I'm happy to keep your home tidy, water plants, bring in the post, and send regular photo updates so you can enjoy your time away with peace of mind.Availability:
Dog walking & home visits: Weekdays after 5:30 pm (BH1 and nearby).
House sitting: Available on selected dates.
Please note: I don't offer boarding in my own home, grooming, dog training or medication administration.

I look forward to meeting you and your furry family!

I have had pets around me my whole life and know how to look after them and make them feel safe, happy and pampered! I currently have 2 cats at home. We used to have a collie but unfortunately she had to be put to sleep which was really hard to deal with I've been a self-employed pet sitter now for over 4 years so have plenty of experience with all sorts of animals, breeds, behaviours and situations! Dogs and cats usually feel comfortable around me fairly quickly and we soon become best friends! However there are of course occasionally ones who take their time warming up and I rarely have trouble with winning them over :) You show an animal love, care and respect and they will show it back to you tenfold ️ One of the many reasons I enjoy doing this as a full-time job. It's so rewarding and such a great fit for me as an animal lover.

Unfortunately I cannot offer boarding services at this time.
I offer house sitting (up to 1 week), dog walking (up to 1 hour) and drop in visits at times of the day that suit you and your needs. I’m usually very flexible, however I do kindly ask for a few days’ notice just in case I happen to be unavailable.
I would provide the best care for your pet/s and only do as you’ve instructed me to do. You can trust me to look after your pet with the utmost care and make sure they’re as comfortable and happy as possible.
Please see my calendar, which I update regularly, to ensure I’m free on the days you require.
You can trust me to keep your pet/s secure when in my care. Please let me know if there’s anything specific I need to know about your property and your pet.

Hello my name is Nic, I am 25 and used to work as a registered veterinary nurse, I have lived with animals my whole life. I am happy to give injections and oral medications to animals if needed.
I love spending time with animals, whether that be going for long walks or cuddles at home. There is nothing better than pet cuddles whether that be dog, cat, hamster or toirtoise etc.

The only animals I don't think I can provide the best care for is rabbits and birds as I have had a lot less experience with these animals as an owner. However, I am eager to learn more about these species.
I have done pet sitting and walking for family and friends and would love for it to become a more regular activity, and get to explore more of Dorset at the same time.
Services: dog walking, pet sitting and drop-in visits.
I can take your dogs for walks on weekends and some evenings within the week. However please message to find out about specific dates or fees.

I am currently a 3rd year university student and miss my 2 dogs at home very much, and so am looking to help around with your furry friends. I am well versed in looking after dogs, my parents having fostered 2 dogs before, and having grown up in a dog and cat family. My 2 dogs at home are both rescues and both only have 3 legs! So any and all dogs are welcome.
If it's just a small walk you're looking for, or for me to look after them whilst you are out for the day, I am down for whatever. I am quite happy with doing my uni work at yours and looking after your dog, taking them out when needed. I think it will be nice to have some company whilst I do!!
My experience with looking after animals is looking after my own dogs, of course. We've also taken in neighbours dogs to look after for a weekend or a night, and so I have a few previous experiences with dog sitting. My girl dog is getting older now and so when taking her on a walk, I have had to adapt to the lengths and terrain of our walks because her front leg can have a lot of strain, and so I will always ensure the best for your dog.

Strong attention and listening skills, making sure I absorbe all details of the job and stay
I am probably most suited for short stays , however I am happy to be flexible on this if the location is appropriate
my dog tiny, is elderly so I am familiar with that kind of care, however I am highly energetic and love going for walks, I am a climber so I spend most of my time outdoors and for sure the doggies will get lots of walks
I am situated in Weymouth and have my own car and way around , I'm happy to do a bit of travel
I like to keep my space clean and tidy, I am respecting and mindful of others, I will take care of your home as well as your pets
I am loving kind and patient and genuinely excited to take care of your precius pawed family members

I took early retirement from the Criminal Justice System nearly 10 years ago and I’ve now decided to turn my passion for dogs into something that I can do in my spare time. I am of course fully DBS checked and insured with the nations leading pet insurer Petplan, but more important than anything, I just love dogs! I’ve had dogs literally from the moment I was born and my favourites are big dogs such as Border Collies, German Shepherds, Retrievers and Labradors.

I have experience in training and handling deaf dogs as my previous border collie was deaf and I taught her how we could communicate by me using hand signals and we went on to obtain our bronze and silver good citizen awards. I have also taken my current dog scent training and to Hoopers Agility as she has arthritis. I’m quite happy looking after and medicating old or infirm dogs and we can provide our own doggy pushchair if need be.

I’m first aid trained, have attended dog massage and alternative therapy workshops, agility classes and have experience in animal healing and reiki.

Another passion of mine is travelling and exploring and I am happy to travel to sits that are in areas of interest to me if they suit us both.

I grew up in the countryside with all kinds of animals. I had my very own donkeys, dogs, birds and small creatures that depended on me.I am a dedicated and proactive animal care specialist with 5+ years of hands-on experience in dog walking, pet sitting, and animal training across Dorset and Hampshire. CPD-certified Dog Trainer with a strong foundation in animal behaviour and welfare. Former hospitality and business manager, bringing leadership, organisation, and customer service expertise. Entrepreneurial and adaptable, with experience launching a unique mobile dog-friendly ice cream venture. Passionate about providing compassionate, reliable care for animals and excellent service to pet owners.I have been working and assisting one of the top dog trainers in Bournemouth. I have recently and successfully trained my own dog.I have very good reviews on my social media from very happy clients. I have recently moved to the blandford areaand am looking for new paw members.
