Are you going away but have a pet that prefers to stay in their own environment? Or perhaps you have a range of different animals and it’s not practical for you to organise for them to stay in different places? Then you might want to consider finding a Pawshake house sitter to come and stay at your West Wittering home while you are away.

House sitting is a convenient and affordable option when you have multiple pets and also want your house to be securely looked after while you are away. Many of our pet sitters have very reasonable house sitting rates because they enjoy staying and exploring different local neighbourhoods like West Wittering.

At Pawshake, we understand that trusting your home to a stranger can be a little daunting. So we’ve done all the hard work to ensure that your Pawshake house sitter is trustworthy and reliable. All our pet sitter profiles are checked individually by our dedicated trust and safety team and some house sitters also have their own police checks which they can share with you.

The best thing about engaging a Pawshake verified house sitter is that you can relax knowing that on top of being covered by The Pawshake Guarantee which includes veterinary coverage, so your pets are being cared for in a familiar environment and your West Wittering home is also being looked after as well.

In addition to looking after your pets, most of our house sitters will happily help you by collecting your mail, taking out the bins, and watering your plants. Just make sure you discuss all your requirements with your chosen house sitter prior to booking.

I am a trustworthy and caring animal lover with experience looking after dogs and understanding their individual needs. Owning a 4-year-old American Akita has given me valuable experience with daily walks, feeding routines, exercise, training, and providing a safe and loving environment. I understand that pets are cherished members of the family, so I treat every animal with the same care, attention, and respect that I give my own. I am patient, responsible, and dedicated to maintaining your pet’s routine so they feel comfortable, secure, and happy while you are away. Whether your dog enjoys long walks, playtime, companionship, or simply a calm and reassuring presence, I adapt my care to suit their personality and needs. Walks can range from a short 20–30 minute stroll to an hour or more, depending on your dog’s age, energy level, and routine. I also have experience caring for cats and understand that each one has a unique personality. For example, I have looked after a friend’s ginger cat who preferred his own space, so I respected his boundaries while ensuring he was fed, had fresh water, a clean litter tray, and received care on his terms. My priority is always to make pets feel safe, comfortable, and well cared for, giving owners peace of mind while they are away. My experience with animals includes dog sitting close friends as well as taking care of my own dog. I have been close with animals since I was younger, I have previous experience caring for animals including horses at an equestrian stable on weekends during my younger years. This taught me responsibility patience and the importance of meeting animals individually needs.

Hello, I’m Tony — a lifelong dog lover taking the exciting step into full-time dog walking.
Dogs have been a huge part of my life for as long as I can remember. Growing up with family pets taught me patience, understanding, and just how much joy a dog can bring to everyday life. Over the years I’ve cared for dogs of all ages, sizes, and personalities — from energetic puppies who want to explore everything, to gentle seniors who enjoy a slower pace.
What’s always stayed the same is my belief that every dog deserves kindness, respect, and plenty of love. I have patience for every personality and truly enjoy getting to know what makes each dog unique. I've always been a firm beleiver in patience from day one with any dog!
Services include, a free meet n greet to make myself, owner and dog are happy. A 30 min dog walk for £7, 1hour walk for £15, a home visit for £10 (to check food n water and offer toilet break at home), £10 pet transport (for Vets or Groomers etc).
All walks are catered to dog age and personality. A senior dog may need a short simple walk local to home. A young active dog may need a good off lead run and socialisation in a local field. Again anxiousness and reactiveness are strongly taken into account for safety.

We grew up with dogs of our own of various breeds who had been an integral part of the family dynamics. As well as cats and birds. Over last two years we have been looking after pets of our friends and colleagues when they travell and so we now offer care to the pets who's owners need to delegate it for short periods of time.
Times of care are flexible with a both AM/PM and the 7 days of the week available prior to agreement. Services other than feeding, walking and playing could include partial grooming and some basic training.
Walks are timed as minimun of 30 minutes up to 2 hours. While the home visits and home sitting are agreed on the individual basis as needed. Plants and mail is taken care of during home visits.
Ideally the dogs are taken to a nearest park or green area for a walk. Unless there is a preferred and familiar route due to behavioural nuanses.
My partner and I both work busy and at times stressful careers in NHS and so it's a great feeling to have animals around you in your free time. Its also something that we enjoy doing as a couple with our children now all being teenagers.
We welcome offers for up to 3 dogs and / or cats at a tone. As well as outside farm animals and birds kept in the house. Limited experience with reptiles but happy to discuss.

Hello! My name is Rachel, and I am a dedicated and passionate pet sitter. As a pet owner myself, with five healthy and happy cats at home, I understand the immense love and care that pets require. My motivation to become a pet sitter stems from my lifelong affection for animals and my desire to provide them with the best possible care when their owners are away.
Growing up, I always had pets around me, starting with small dogs that were my companions throughout my childhood. When I got my first pet, a rabbit, I learned the importance of responsibility and empathy towards animals.
Over the years, I have gained extensive experience in pet sitting, ensuring that each pet feels comfortable, loved, and well-cared-for in my presence. Whether it's feeding, walking, playing, or simply providing companionship, I am committed to creating a safe and enjoyable environment for every pet I look after.
In my pet sitting services, I prioritize the health and well-being of the animals. I only accept vaccinated pets to ensure the safety of all the pets in my care, as well as my own. I am well-versed in administering medications and handling pets with special needs, making sure they receive the attention they deserve.
My home is pet-friendly, filled with cozy spaces and plenty of toys to keep your furry friends entertained. I treat every pet as if they were my own, providing personalized care and attention to meet their unique needs. Trust me to be your reliable and friendly pet sitter, and rest assured that your pets will be in loving hands while you are away.

Hi, I’m Max!If you are looking for a highly reliable, energetic, and experienced dog walker, you have come to the right place. I have been a devoted dog owner for over 15 years, starting my journey with a wonderful, loyal Labrador who taught me the foundations of compassionate pet care. These days, I regularly dog sit, feed, and walk two incredibly lively puppies at my parents' house: a Cocker Spaniel and a Flatcoat Retriever. Handling their boundless puppy energy, enforcing their training routines, and managing their overnight care has made me highly adaptable to dogs of all ages and temperaments, from gentle senior strolls to high-intensity playtime. When it comes to walking stamina, I am uniquely equipped to keep up with even the most energetic and demanding breeds. As a local postperson, my daily routine involves walking extensive routes in all weather conditions around Bognor Regis, meaning rain or shine, I am always ready to get moving and never tire out early. In my free time, I am also an avid hiker and rock climber, so I absolutely love exploring new trails and making sure your dog gets the physical and mental stimulation they crave on their walks.Because I regularly handle overnight dog sitting and structured feeding routines for my family's working-breed puppies, you can completely trust me to be responsible with your home and your pet's specific schedule. Whether your furry best friend needs a quick pavement walk to stretch their legs, a long, muddy adventure to burn off excess energy, or just some reliable companionship and a meal while you are away, I will treat them with the exact same love, patience, and attention I give my own. I look forward to meeting you and your dog!

Ever since I was little I have been surrounded by cats. I especially have a soft spot for rescue and senior cats.Black cats in particular as there are lots of miss conceptions about them and are more difficult to rehome in a rescue.I have lots of previous experience in being a cat sitter and caring for animals. Its great to meet new people and their furry friends.I do drop in visits in my local area and overnight stays too for cats which need closer monitoring.Vists are 1 hour and you will receive daily updates. I do all the usual such as feeding and changing litter trays.Putting the rubbish bins out and watering plants. I play and entertain your cats taking lots of photos and videos so you know they are in good hands.I experience with raw feeding and I can give medication supplements.I have experience with shy and more cautious cats. And of course super energetic cats who need lots of enrichment and stimulating play.I am happy to care for cats with specialist needs such as asthma.

Hi, I’m Hannah – Owner of The Wags & Whiskers Co - Pet Lover & Trusted Companion

Caring for animals has always come naturally to me. Whether it’s a playful pup, a curious cat, or a senior pet who just wants a little peace and quiet, I take the time to understand what makes each one tick. I treat every pet like they’re my own—with patience, kindness, and a good dose of belly rubs.

I’ve worked with all kinds of personalities and temperaments, and I know how important it is for pet parents to feel confident and relaxed when they’re away on holiday or out at work. I’m reliable, easygoing, and genuinely enjoy spending time with animals—it’s the best part of my day.

A few things I bring to the table:

• Calm, caring approach tailored to each pet
• Dependable and communicative
• Lots of experience with dogs, cats, and more
• A genuine love for what I do

I’m proud to own The Wags & Whiskers Co, helping pets feel happy and safe while giving their humans peace of mind.

Hi! I’m a lifelong animal lover who’s been raising dogs since I was 14—now 25 and still completely obsessed with all things furry (and feathery!). Back home in Myanmar, I had a Golden Retriever, Husky, and Poodle, and I miss them every day.
I’ve also cared for cats, birds, hamsters—even a rabbit or two! Being around animals makes me feel at home, and I’d love to turn that passion into something meaningful while I’m here. Whether it’s walks, cuddles, or just being their new best friend, your pets are in loving hands with me!
With me, your pet gets more than just a walk—they get a buddy! I offer fun, safe dog walks, playtime, feeding, cuddles, and care A typical day includes tail wags, fetch marathons, sniff-and-stroll adventures, and lots of belly rubs.I treat every pet like my own whether we’re chasing a ball or just chilling together. Basically, I show up, your pet lights up. Let’s be furry friends!

I’ve always had a special connection with cats—their unique personalities, quiet companionship, and independent yet affectionate nature truly resonate with me. Growing up in a household with multiple cats, I learned early on how to care for them, understand their body language, and respect their space. Whether it's feeding, grooming, playing, or simply providing a calm presence, I enjoy every aspect of being around cats.
My motivation to be a cat sitter comes from both my love for felines and my desire to help cat owners feel at ease when they're away. I know how sensitive cats can be to changes in their environment or routine, and I take pride in offering gentle, reliable, and attentive care that keeps them feeling safe and comfortable in their own home. Every cat is different, and I take the time to get to know each one individually—because they deserve nothing less than thoughtful, loving care.
