Top cities for house sitting in United Kingdom

Are you going away but have a pet that prefers to stay in their own environment? Or perhaps you have a range of different animals and it’s not practical for you to organise for them to stay in different places? Then you might want to consider finding a Pawshake house sitter to come and stay at your Wetherby home while you are away.

House sitting is a convenient and affordable option when you have multiple pets and also want your house to be securely looked after while you are away. Many of our pet sitters have very reasonable house sitting rates because they enjoy staying and exploring different local neighbourhoods like Wetherby.

At Pawshake, we understand that trusting your home to a stranger can be a little daunting. So we’ve done all the hard work to ensure that your Pawshake house sitter is trustworthy and reliable. All our pet sitter profiles are checked individually by our dedicated trust and safety team and some house sitters also have their own police checks which they can share with you.

The best thing about engaging a Pawshake verified house sitter is that you can relax knowing that on top of being covered by The Pawshake Guarantee which includes veterinary coverage, so your pets are being cared for in a familiar environment and your Wetherby home is also being looked after as well.

In addition to looking after your pets, most of our house sitters will happily help you by collecting your mail, taking out the bins, and watering your plants. Just make sure you discuss all your requirements with your chosen house sitter prior to booking.

Hello, I am Monika and here's a little bit of information about me :)

I always had animals through my entire life. From when I was a child up until now when I am 29 years old. That helped me to know how to care for them and I love them. I had a cat from when I was 7 years old, which I really cared for and he became my best friend and my whole world. This experience made me love and appreciate animals even more.

In the past, I have rescued a dog and cared for him till my family took it under their wings, and I love visiting it whenever I can, and bring it treats and spend time with her.

Right now, I own 2 Siberian cats which are both 8 years old. I would like to take care of animals because I think it will be fun and a real pleasurable job!

Hi I'm true I'm 24 years old and adore all things animals. And just recently moved to York from Dublin. I had to leave my 2 best friends in their home back in Dublin (my mastiff Dea and glen of immal Sheldon)
I'm available Saturday and Sundays all day and available for evening walks on Fridays
since I was born I've had some sort of animal in my life from dogs to small animals such as hamsters, rats, rabbits and Guinne pigs along with reptiles such as snakes and bearded dragon.
i love all dogs especially big ones. I myself have a geln of immle terrier who's 15 and a cane corso mastiff who's 10. I have a level 5 QQI in animal care with all distinctions. I recently finished work in a petshop after 4 years in Ireland that also had the grooming studio that I helped in when needed. I love dog training and love helping people and their fur babies with Infomation when it comes to all things training. I love every Second of being around animals and adored getting to know regular dogs in my old job and seeing them grow from when they come in as puppies.

Please ensure your dog is microchipped, vaccinated and also have a collar with an id tag

Hi I'm Emma, I'm 25 years old and currently working as a support worker! I live in LS9 with my two rabbits. I have loved animals since I was little and I have had rabbits since I was about 10 years old and love spending time with animals. I currently have 2 rabbits called Maggie and Big that I absolutely adore! Maggie is a mini Rex and Big is a continental giant!
I work weekdays from 9-5 so I'm able to offer drop ins before or after those hours, I can take on bookings for people living around Leeds docks or east end park/Burmantofts as I don't have access to a car so cannot accept bookings too far away. I'm unfortunately not able to offer boarding or overnight care due to my commitment to my own furry companions.
Having grown up with rabbits and sharing my home with them, I understand the unique needs of small animals. In more recent years, I have lived with and offered care for cats, and have developed an understanding of their needs and feel confident in my ability to care for them!
Although I love dogs, I have no experience of caring for them independently so I'm unable to offer dog sitting as you need to leave your loved ones in the hands of someone capable of providing quality care!

Being passionately fond of dogs, I find myself growing up with dogs and have always love being around them and learning to take care of them. Even now, I still love dogs really much tho it's yet a right moment in life to get a pet myself after graduating from uni for just two years, tho I work as a tutor who teaches students aged from 6 to 18 English, and have a flexible schedule which will be a great fit for me to get engaged in pet sitting. Pet sitting came to my mind as the perfect idea as not only can I help other loving owners with giving the needed care for their beloved pets, but I could also be around dogs all the time! Simple as that, I just LOVE dogs! :)
I do not just love them but I also have experience taking care of them with my experience in looking after the pets I closely live and stay with. Even since small, I have gradually been taught how to take dogs for a walk. I also take care of other care routine, like helping them take a shower, feeding them etc. am the most familiar with taking care of small to medium size dogs, like Chihuahua and Cavalier King Charles, with the previous experience I have.

Hello, I'm Jade!
I have become lucky enough to have more time on my hands to be able to care for your furbabies due to being a mature student. I do work in the mornings but I am available after lunchtime for the rest of the day and night to give your pets the love and fuss they need whilst you're away - whether it's cuddles, walks or just someone being there.

I am a mother of 3 (2 x Bulldogs and 1 Spaniel) who all have very different personalities and needs. My attention will solely be on your pet though as mine will stay with their dad during me taking care of yours.

Although I have never officially worked with animals, I have grown up with them being a huge part of my life and have lots of experience sitting for friends and family. I know they are so important to us and knowing that they are kept safe, being loved and not ignored will hopefully put your mind at ease. I treat mine like my children and I will provide the same treatment for yours, you will receive updates and photos whenever you like too!

I remember years ago when I was going on holiday, my partner and I were visiting some potential kennels to board ours in. Although the dog boarders seemed lovely - I burst into tears in the car on the way home because I just couldn't do that to our dogs, I felt like they would be so lonely and sad. I just wanted to find someone who I could trust would look after mine and I wouldn't be worried whilst away so I know exactly how some people can be feeling when looking for someone.

But can promise you that your pet would be safe, loved and in good hands with me. Thank you for taking the time to read my profile.

Hi. My name is Jess and I am 23. (as of writing this) I have done one year of Animal Care. I'm currently studying Management of Animal Collections with Conservation at Askham Bryan in York for University. I have owned a dog and own a cat. Also walked friends' dogs many times.
I am willing to walk your pet, and take care of them at your house or just drop in for a visit. As someone who walks a lot I know multiple places all of varying lengths I can go to for walks with your pets to make sure they will be receiving the best enrichment possible. I love animals and would love a permanent job with them in the future, preferably the RSPCA. This is to help get experience and to understand the difference between each pet. Please feel free to contact me via text if you are in need of any more information.
My services are:
Dog walking between 1-4hrs:
I can take your dog on a walk in multiple places. All of varying lengths to fit the dogs needs. The places I will be going to will be Harewood House, Gledhow Forest, Roundhay Park and Thruscross Resovoir.
Pet visits for check- ins 1-2 times a day:
Here I will come in to your house and visit your pet. I will stay for about 30-45 mins and feed, play and give them attention.
So to avoid wasting time I live in Harehills and do not own a car. This means you must drop your pet off with me unless you are within a suitable distance to walk. If a car will be used I shall be getting a lift from my grandparents who have joined me in walking people's dogs in the past and continue to do so. They also owned multiple dogs in their lifetime so understand the behaviour well.

I am a vet student studying at the University of Liverpool. I love animals and have several years of experience with all different species as well as knowing animal first aid and am able to administer injections. I have had a dog for the past nine years which I trained from being a puppy. This has promoted a love and interest into the behavioural side of things and I am hoping to do my literature review on the science behind companionship and behaviour in certain domestic species. As well as training my own dog, I also helped my best friend, who struggled with her reactive rescue. I loved the challenge and was round four times a week after school to train her. It was definitely a learning experience but it really taught me a lot and I really bonded with her. I am definitely her still her favourite! I am comfortable with all animals, big and small, having just done a placement at an aquarium where I was feeding and helping administer medication to otters among other exotic species and before that working on a local cattery and kennels. I have had experience pet sitting from a young age as my dad was allergic to most animals so my only access to pets was to pet sit! This included my neighbour's cats, my friend's dogs and even my auntie's rabbit!
