Animals have been part of my life for as long as I can remember. I grew up around pets and farm animals too, and I've shared my home with two cats and a hamster. Over the years I've also helped friends look after their cats, dogs, fish, parrots, guinea pigs, hamsters, rats and rabbits, so I'm comfortable with many different pets and their routines. I've walked dogs in several countries, and I genuinely enjoy getting out and about with them.

I take pet care seriously. I always took my own animals to the vet and followed every instruction on vaccinations and preventive care. I pay close attention to how a pet looks, behaves and eats, and I'm quick to notice small changes like a rash, skin irritation or something unusual with fur. I follow your pet's diet and feeding schedule carefully. I also regularly donate to animal charities.

What I offer - (always at your home, I'm sadly not able to host animals at mine):

Dog walks: 15 to 40 minutes, depending on your dog's needs, with fresh water and a quick update afterwards.

Pet visits: feeding, playtime, cuddles, litter or cage cleaning and a general health check. I can visit up to 3 times a day on days I work from home, 1 to 2 times on other weekdays, and up to 3 times at weekends.

Pets I care for: cats, dogs, rabbits, hamsters, guinea pigs, birds and fish. I don't take reptiles, insects, spiders or other exotic animals, as I don't have experience with them.

Good to know: I look after pets close to where I live (in the Amersham area), so I can visit reliably. I have experience with medication and basic first aid, but I believe medication is best given by the owner. I always like to arrange a meet and greet first, so we can get to know each other and your pet is comfortable with me before being left alone with me.

Sleepover routine: I'm happy to stay at your home for up to about a week if needed. I'm usually in bed around 11:30 pm and up around 7:00 am, but I'm flexible and can adjust to your pet's needs, for example by taking them out earlier in the morning. I work from home 3 days a week, so I'll need a workspace with Wi-Fi. I'll take regular breaks during the day to play with and walk your pet. Twice a week I'm in the office from 9:00 am to 5:30 pm, so on those days your pet will be on their own during that time.

Where I walk: my usual spots are Hervines Park and Chesham Bois Wood. Ultimately it depends on where you live. I'm happy to find a green space near you or follow the route you normally take with your dog.

Medication:I prefer owners to give medication themselves. If it's really needed, I can put drops in the eyes or ears, or give medication mixed into food, always following your exact instructions.
