📍Overnight cat sitting minimum 2 nights within 15 miles of Amersham (best for those cats prone to loneliness, kittens, cats with higher care requirements and multi-cat homes)

For house sitting, I often need to go out during the day (typically not more than 4-5 hours out, usually less). I have a couple of WFH freelance work projects I do during the day part time. If you require more constant companionship/high care requirments there may be an additional fee to cover extra responsibility. 

If plant watering duties are more than a few patio pots/houseplants and/or high care requirements/medication administered (in food is free) there may be an extra fee (for drop ins and house sitting). 

I offer 2 free meet and greets; the first at Chiltern Lifestyle Centre or on a Zoom call, and if all well, a second meet and greet in your home to meet cats and go over routine! This is to provide extra security for both sides and to ensure I am the best fit for you. If you need me to collect key on another additional date, £10 to cover travel costs/time is added or can meet in Chesham Bois/Amersham town for free.

I have volunteered for the animal charity The Cinnamon Trust for over 14 years where I walk dogs and cat sit for elderly/disabled people unable to fulfil pet care responsibilities.

In recent years, I held paid roles as a live-in caretaker, gardener (RHS qualified) and cook in retreat centres in UK/France where I helped look after the resident cats too. I absolutely loved taking care of cats so decided to extend my love of animals (and people!) to a cat-sitting service. 

I have a daily meditation and yoga habit, going on regular meditation retreats. Animals seem to pick up on this calm and positive energy that I bring with me, resulting in relaxed cats. 

I have completed the accredited Feline health, wellbeing & first aid course delivered by vet Dr Sophie Bell at Animal Love Pet First Aid (13 hours CPD). I carry a first aid kit and thick gloves with me.

Please note I only accept fully vaccinated cats that are up to date with vet advice for relevant flea/worming treatments, in reasonably good health and registered with local vets—also relatively friendly cats only (no aggression but nervous/shy cats are fine). Quirks are happily accepted of course!

In the highly unlikely event that your cat should need to go to the vet as an emergency, there is a £25 fee (not for house sitting) for first hour plus taxi fare (though at times I can get a lift from family) and £20 per hour thereafter. Happy to liase with your local family/friends to take to vets or stay with your cat once there. I am not able to pay vet bills and potential payments must be covered by yourself or emergency contact (many vets if notified of holiday cat sitter in advance are happy for payment at a later date). In cases when I cannot contact you in an emergency, I will take cats to the vet as necessary and follow treatment advice given by vet.

Holiday rates apply. Christmas Day, Boxing Day, New Years Eve & Day and Easter Sunday are £38 base rate per 30 min drop in (limited local availability) and £90 base rate for house sitting. All other Bank holiday weekend days are £6 extra on base rate for drop-ins and £80 for house sitting (Fri-Mon inclusive).

There is an extra daily rate of £4 for each additional cat per household (£6 for house sits).
