I have looked after a dog before: my friend's dog when they were away for a weekend, so I'd go over every so often to take him out for a walk, feed him, and keep company. I really enjoy looking after dogs and cats; I've always wanted a cat but unfortunately couldn't because my dad was allergic. I have a dog of my own named Fergus; he just turned 15 in April, so he doesn't enjoy going very long walks, but that's okay with me! i enjoy keeping him company. Fergus loves meeting and hanging out with other dogs. He is a cocker spaniel who sleeps all day...

I have a part-time job at a florist, so I do have a lot of spare time, and I want to make use of it. I'll be able to let you know my availability but it will be very often.

My dog is very fussy due to his old age... he enjoys eating butternut food packets, kibble, doggy popcorn, and peanut butter; cucumber and sausage are his go-to during the day!

I want to start a dog walking business because I like to keep myself busy; I never like to not be doing anything, and my connection with animals is amazing; I adore any breed of dog. 

I have also had guinea pigs for 7 years; unfortunately, in July of 2025 one of my pigs caught a disease and quickly passed away. My other pig lasted a few more months and also passed away. I think she passed away due to missing her sister so much. I know exactly how to look after a guinea pig. I recently sold my guinea pig cage and toys, so I don't have any equipment for them. So, if I do look after them, I'll need resources.

What I offer

-I have many nice walking places to go locally which include the old racecourse, the beach, street walks, the secret garden, and the River Doon. Obviously, many dog walkers have different preferences on where they'd like me to take their dog, such as not near water or a river, or not to be taken near busy roads. My walks last around 1-1 1/2 hours, with a minimum of 20-30 minutes. These are chosen by you, as I don't mind how long, since I love being outdoors.

I have a large garden which is great for dogs to run freely as it's enclosed with fences and a gate. My dog doesn't play outdoors anymore, so it would be great to see other dogs enjoy playing in the garden, as I have so many dog toys which haven't been touched for ages.

If your dog acts unusually, I will immediately phone you as an emergency contact; if no answer, I will go to the vet if needed. I will also ask for a sheet of paper from you about your pets and what to do if acting unusual. 

I will always supervise the dog because who knows what could happen in a matter of seconds if left unwatched. A few weeks ago, my dog had a seizure due to the extreme heat in the middle of May and when this happens, it's important to NOT touch them as that is very bad for them, instead you need to watch over them very carefully and take notes in your head in case you need to go to the vet to explain the situation.

Every single dog has different energy levels, so I will make sure to walk them until they are tired so they have a long nap and wake up to a yummy meal. I think that creating a strong bond with a pet is so important because I want the dog to be excited to see me every week because I will definitely be excited to see them.
