I’m a reliable psychology student at Bath with practical, hands on experience pet sitting dogs, cats, guinea pigs and hamsters. I’ve cared for a range of dogs with different needs and temperaments, including an elderly cockapoo, where I managed daily feeding routines, administered medication, and supported gentle grooming and comfort care. I have also looked after an adult miniature schnauzer with behavioural challenges, including guarding and biting tendencies, where I used calm, consistent handling, positive reinforcement, and careful boundary setting to maintain safety and reduce stress. In addition, I’ve cared for a miniature dachshund puppy, supporting basic training, toilet routines, and early socialisation. A typical visit includes feeding, fresh water, exercise, enrichment, cleaning where needed, and ensuring the pet is settled and comfortable before I leave. On walks and house visits, I prioritise safety by using appropriate leads/harnesses, staying aware of surroundings, avoiding triggers where possible, and adjusting routes or interactions based on the dog’s behaviour and confidence level. I remain calm and observant, adapting my approach to each animal’s needs. I’m available Mondays, Thursdays, Fridays, and Sundays, and I provide regular photo updates so owners feel reassured and informed at all times. In any emergency or unexpected situation, I act calmly, contact the owner immediately, and seek veterinary advice if required.
