I am a local dog-lover, who adores caring for and playing with dogs. I have grown up with dogs all my life and adore each and every personality! I think it’s important to give each dog as much love as possible as they are such lovely animals! I have cared for pets before, for my neighbours and friends but the heart of my experience comes from having had two dogs myself, so I understand how difficult it can sometimes be to own dogs, so I am here to support you! I provide dog walks, and dog sitting. 

For dog walks, I prefer to walk one medium dog at a time or 2 smaller dogs - I am flexible about duration, but typically my walks are around 30-45 minutes or an hour. I usually try to take dogs areas where they can sniff a lot as I feel that is incredibly important on dog walks! When dealing with nervous dogs, I tend to pull away from any of their triggers, especially if this includes other dogs. I am able to communicate with other dog walkers to avoid a stressful situation for the dogs. Safety is my primary focus during these walks, and I avoid busy roads and stick to forested areas like Forewood forest in crowhurst, for the dogs comfort and safety. In the past I've been able to avoid and diminish any conflict between dogs through watching their behaviour and pre empting any nervous reactions. My experience resolving these kinds of conflicts comes from my current dog and a neighbours dog I cared for.  

For dog sitting, again, I am flexible and will care for the dog for as long as the owner needs me to! I have no preference of the number of dogs in regards to sitting and can handle up to 4! Typically I try to replicate the dogs own daily routine to avoid any unnecessary stress, which includes medication, any training the owner needs to me to reinforce, and walking the dog twice a day at a similar time to when the dog is walked with their owner. I focus a lot on making sure the dog is comfortable with me, so I spend a lot of time at the beginning bonding and ensuring the dog is able to relax and have fun!

 In case of emergencies, such as if the dog runs away, I prioritise letting the dog owner know what happened, before immediately setting out to locate the dog and help them. In the exceptional case that the dog gets hurt, I attempt to simultaneously move the dog to the vet and let the dog owners know.

 My main characteristic as a dog walker and sitter is regularly updating the dog owner with pictures and/or little news about what they've gotten up to in the day (unless asked not to disturb the owner!). Establishing and maintaining a line of contact between me and the dog owner is incredibly important to me, as I understand how nerve wracking it can be to leave your dog with someone. Which is why I make it my number one goal to ensure the comfort of both dog and dog owner!

My availability is anytime weekends and week days - I am quite free right now!
