About Madeleine
I'm offering dog minding and boarding alongside my own fur baby (miniature schnauzer) at my house in Radley, South Oxford for one dog (or two from the same house) each day.
I'm happiest looking after small or medium dogs - my own is 7kg and I have experience with family cockerpoo and sprocker over the last 10 years, neighbours labrador, and friends dogs of all sorts but never "big" dogs as such. I can't help with nervous dogs or dogs that have ever shown aggression, but can help with puppies as I had my family dog and Sapphire from 9 weeks.
I will happily send daily photos and videos throughout the day or stay 🐾💕.
I have a fully 1.85m fenced and code-lock gated garden that's about 5x10m with pebbles rather than grass (keeps them clean) + fields and river to walk on at Sandford just 5 mins walk away. When home we will be out in the garden or in the garden office where I work and paint, or cuddled up on the sofa😀.
For daycare I work an office job between around 8am and 5pm from home/hybrid during the day, with walkies at lunch and a few other trips out around the block between calls as I can. They will spend the day in the garden office with me in their beds and are not home alone unless I pop to the shop for 15 mins. We can discuss whether your dog is okay to go off lead or not in the fields. We would need to do a meet out of the house first.
For boarding, your dog can just follow our routine of walks and pottering. If I go somewhere dog friendly I usually take Saph along, so I'd need to know how sociable yours is with adults, children, and dogs. She does do a few hours home alone when I go out if it's not dog friendly e.g. gym, supermarket, etc. so I'd need to know how yours copes with this (and in what way - bed, crate, etc). They can have a crate downstairs or have their bed upstairs on the landing. I'd need to do a trial night before a trip of more than 2 nights to be sure they are happy here.
I will need the core info like their chip number, their vets, insurance policy number and how to use it, any allergies, etc.
Just get in touch with me to discuss.
Many thanks,
Maddie.
