About Leah
I am currently working as patient care assistant in a veterinary practice. I will be doing this until I am able to progress to becoming a student veterinary nurse.
I have been working within the industry for 8 years. I studied for 3 years in animal management and so obtained a level 2 technical BTEC and level 3 national extended diploma.
I am an experienced cat owner and have lots of experience with domestic and exotic animals. I am familiar with welfare regulations and reading animal behaviour.
I have been pet sitting since 2021 and working with animals full time since 2018.
I'm passionate about animal care and welfare. I also try to keep up to date with new additions to welfare regulations. I'm familiar with recognising animal body language and understanding behaviour.
I am always trying to increase my knowledge through books and documentaries because of this, I have plans to start an animal first aid course.
