I have loved animals all my life, and I am extremely determined to become a professional pet sitter. I am planning on taking on more courses to gain more skills like first aid and injection medication but right now I am qualified in Animal Management Level 3 (BTEC Extended Diploma). I have completed work experience in a Veterinary Practice, Dog Grooming Salon and Boarding Cattery, which have helped me gain valuable experience that contribute to my extensive knowledge on cats, dogs and other small animals. I have owned cats for over 12 years, a dog for 7 years and a bearded dragon for 2 years. They all mean the world to me, and I am heavily passionate about animal welfare, learning animal behaviours and reading and responding them effectively. I love all animals no matter the temperament and I appreciate getting to know each one's individual, unique personality. I have a car and can drive to and from houses, as well as pick up and drop off small caged animals as I am able to board them at my house. Unfortunately, I cannot board cats and dogs because of my own animals.

We have a rescue dog who has only been with us a few weeks and we had a pre planned engagement, so we needed to leave her for the evening. Alyx was great with the dog, very calm and caring. The trains were very erratic and we ended up not getting home until the early hours of the morning, several hours after we'd agreed and Alyx was very understanding. We would have no hesitation in recommending Alyx, as she has training in animal management and is a knowledgeable and kind person you can entrust your pet with. We will be using Alyx again over the coming weeks and months.
