I am a responsible uni student missing my dog a lot, I would love the chance to look after someone else's pet and give it some love. A lot of my life revolves around my dog at home, so at uni I am really missing this aspect of my life and would love to take care of another dog to get this back. Whilst I have never had any experience pet sitting overnight I have done day visits before, feeding and taking dogs out for walks as well as feeding cats and chickens. I have had my dog at home for 11 years, so really understand what it takes to properly look after a pet and make sure it has a good time. I understand that when you go away you want to make sure your dog has the best experience it can to not miss you too much, and I would love to be able to provide this for you, to get rid of the stress that your dog is unhappy and to allow you to fully enjoy your trip. I am available all throughout June and could take your dog on any length walk from 10 minutes to an hour. I would also be happy to stay at a house for however long is needed. I would be able to communicate very well with the pet owner by making sure I regularly check my messages and could send the owner regular updates on their pet if they wish. I would spend time with the pets by playing with them, and making sure to give them the right amount of food when needed. I have experience visiting a dog which can be aggressive and I was able to make sure it remained calm around myself and other dogs, so am able to deal with dogs which may tend to lash out. I would structure walks by going on loops which would be a suitable distance for the dog depending on their age and size. I would structure their day depending on what they are used to, and so would feed them at their usual time and take them on walks at their usual time as well. I could take care of multiple dogs at once by ensuring I give them both my attention. I handle emergencies calmly and ensure safety for dogs when walking them by making sure I don't let them out of my sight.
