Hi, I'm Lucy, a 43 year old optometrist with a love for all creatures of all shapes and sizes! As a loving dog mum, I fully understand how important it is to find someone caring, reliable and trustworthy to care for your pets, and I take that responsibility very seriously. I believe our furry family members deserve the absolute best care 24/7, and I am passionate about providing it! I volunteer at the Destitute Animal Shelter in Bolton so I have hands-on experience caring for cats and dogs of all temperaments — from shy rescues to playful pups and kittens. I’m confident handling feeding routines, cleaning, and giving them the love and attention they need while you’re away. I'm happy to administer oral or injectable medication as required. I am an experienced pet parent, having my own dogs Hugo and Stanley, and having previously owned cats Arnie and Lou - I understand the importance of recognising their different personalities and what helps them feel safe and comfortable. Whether it’s popping in to feed your cats, providing some company and cuddles, or making sure everything at home stays calm and secure, I’ll treat your pets as if they were my own, and will go above and beyond to make sure they're content and cared for while you're away. I will adhere to your routines at your instruction so everything is done just as you (and your furry ones) like it. I am currently working part time and remotely from home, which has left me with more time on my hands, allowing me flexibility with home visiting times. I appreciate the importance of reliability, and am always punctual. Please feel free to message regarding your needs and preferences and I will do my best to be as accommodating as possible. I'm happy to discuss extended travel distances if needed, and can tailor a visiting schedule to suit you and your furry ones, including alternate 1x and 2x per day visits, extra visits and happily negotiable extended cuddle time!
