About Toni
Hi, I'm Toni!
Animals have been my lifelong passion. I've been pet-sitting for family and friends since childhood, caring for dogs, cats, rabbits, guinea pigs and hamsters.
Today, I'm a proud owner of a Ragdoll cat, a hamster and tropical fish and shrimp, with 5 years of experience in specialised fishkeeping and advanced nano aquascaping.
For your peace of mind, I am fully DBS checked and insured, and I’m always happy to bring my physical certificates to our initial Meet & Greet.
My specialised experience
15 years of specialist cat care
I cared for a rescue cat with a genetic health condition, Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV) and diabetes for 15 years. I was personally trained by a veterinary nurse to safely administer daily insulin injections and monitor complex health needs.
Large dog & German Shepherd experience
I grew up with a family German Shepherd and was responsible for his day-to-day care. I have experience handling large dogs, including walking, feeding, grooming and routine medication administration.
Shelter volunteering & fostering
During my university studies in Italy, I volunteered at a cat shelter, caring for cats with a wide range of personalities and needs, including nervous, shy and traumatised rescue cats. I also fostered kittens in my home and assisted with humane trapping.
Home visits
I specialise in home visits and drop-in care, allowing your pets to remain in the familiar surroundings of their own home while you're away.
I cover Bracknell and surrounding areas, including Binfield, Warfield, Wokingham, Crowthorne, Reading and Camberley.
During visits, I can provide:
• Medication administration, including insulin injections and oral medication
• Feeding according to your pet's individual routine and dietary requirements
• Fresh water and cleaning of food and water dishes
• Litter tray, cage and habitat maintenance
• Attentive care for aquariums and aquascaped setups, including fish feeding, water treatments, plant fertiliser and other agreed aquarium care
• Calm, respectful companionship tailored to your pet's personality
• Daily photo and video updates, so you can relax knowing how your pets are doing okay
Dog walking & care
I believe dog walks should be safe, enjoyable and tailored to the individual dog rather than simply being about covering a certain distance.
I take into account your dog's age, breed, temperament, energy levels and usual routine, and I'm comfortable with both smaller dogs and larger breeds, including German Shepherds.
Depending on your dog's needs, walks can include:
• Individual, one-to-one walks at your dog's pace
• Plenty of time for sniffing and exploring rather than rushing to cover distance
• Reinforcement of your usual walking routines and commands
• Treats, where provided and appropriate
• Gentle grooming or brushing when needed
• Safe handling using your dog's familiar equipment, or my own suitable lead and safety harness where appropriate
• Paws cleaned after walks before your dog comes home
• Fresh water and a quick check that your dog is comfortable and settled
• Photo updates so you can see what your dog has been up to 🐾
I don't believe in a 'one size fits all' approach. Some dogs love a long energetic walk; others prefer a slower wander with lots of sniffing and reassurance. I'll follow your dog's routine and your instructions.
A little something different – fish & aquariums
I'm particularly passionate about fishkeeping and planted aquariums and have 5 years of hands-on experience in specialised fishkeeping and advanced aquascaping.
If you have an aquarium at home, I can provide careful, routine care while you're away, following your established setup and instructions.
A note about reptiles
Please note that I am not currently offering reptile care.
My son is currently training in professional animal care and specialising in reptiles, and we're hoping to expand into specialised reptile care in the future once he has completed his qualifications. For now, I focus on mammals, fish and birds.
Your pets, and your home, are in safe hands
I am respectful of your home, organised and conscientious, and I understand that inviting someone into your home to care for your pets requires trust.
My priority is to provide kind, reliable and attentive care that follows your instructions and keeps your pets happy, comfortable and safe.
I look forward to meeting you and your wonderful pets! ❤
