Hi! I'm Luisa and I have 3 years of experience as a dog sitter (professionally, as I have cared for family and friends pets for longer than that!)

Before your first booking, I offer a free meet & greet so your pet (and you!) can meet me first, no pressure and no obligation.

All my services include photos and videos, so you always know how things are going.

I'm based in Brigg and can travel up to 10 miles around the area, please contact me for more information.

ABOUT ME:

I'm originally from Spain and have been living in England for almost 11 years. Animals have been part of my life for as long as I can remember, I grew up surrounded by dogs, pigeons, parrots, chickens and roosters, and I currently share my home with a 10 year old cat.

I have taken care of animals from friends and family, mostly dogs, cats, chickens and rats, but I have accrued 3 years of experience as a professional dog sitter. After stepping away for a while to focus on other jobs as a chef, sales assistant and marketing executive, I'm now back to pet sitting while I study towards a career in Psychology (for humans), although, my interest in behaviour and wellbeing also extends to animals.

DOGS:

I'm a dedicated self-learner. During the time I wasn't actively working as a sitter, I kept studying canine behaviour, following professionals who stay up to date with current research and apply it through positive reinforcement, a training and care approach based on rewarding good behaviour rather than punishing unwanted behaviour. I'm not a dog trainer, but this knowledge allows me to understand much better dogs' body language.

CATS:

For cats, I adapt to each personality, whether social, shy, or dealing with behavioural difficulties, and whether they're strictly indoors or enjoy outdoor time. 

I have taken care of cats mainly from friends and family, I had a case of a cat who had behavioural issues, but during the times he was with me I made sure he had his space and comfort, and attention in the form of basically me talking to him. Eventually he'd come out and explore the house without attacking. 

In my previous home in Leeds, I lived in an area with quite a few strays which I got to recognise and help with food and treats. They knew that at my home they'd get a meal. This is how I met my female ginger cat, Misty.

OTHER INFO:

• I can administer basic medication, both topical and oral.
• I'm able to reply to messages quickly.
• Please note: I have a cat who isn't used to being around dogs, which is why I'm not able to offer overnight boarding at my own home. However, I do offer house sitting at your home.
•  I also can take care of your home & plants while you're away at no extra cost. Watering and general care for your indoor and outdoor plants, flowers, and crops, following your instructions. Collecting post, alternating lights or curtains, and putting the bins out on collection day, so your home looks lived-in while you're gone. 

What I need to know about your animal companion:

• Age, species, (breed and size if relevant)
• Behaviour traits, e.g., anxiety, aggressivity, scared, energetic, etc
• Any medical needs
• Your routines, any specific task you want me to include in the service

Before your first booking, I offer a free introductory visit so your pet (and you!) can meet me, ask any questions, and feel comfortable before we start. No pressure, no obligation.

Your home keys safety:

Keys are stored securely and privately, never labelled with your name or address. I'm happy to use a key safe or smart lock if you have one, and keys are returned or securely stored between visits, whichever you prefer.

Emergency protocol:

If your pet needs veterinary attention and I can't reach you, I will take them to the vet myself.
