About Laura
Hi, I’m Laura!
I’ve loved dogs for as long as I can remember and currently have my own dog, Maggie, who is a huge part of my life. Caring for her has taught me how important routine, patience and understanding each dog’s individual personality really are. Alongside looking after Maggie, I’ve also cared for friends’ and family’s dogs over the years, whether that’s taking them for walks, feeding them, playing with them or keeping them company while their owners are away.
I understand that leaving your pet with someone else is a big decision, so I aim to provide the same level of care and attention that I’d want for Maggie. I’m reliable, calm and genuinely enjoy spending time with animals. I’m also happy to send regular photo and message updates so you can relax knowing your pet is happy and in safe hands.
I’m available for dog walking, home visits and day care, and I’m happy to tailor my care to your dog’s usual routine wherever possible. Whether your dog enjoys long walks, slower strolls, plenty of playtime or simply some company while you’re out, I’ll do my best to make them feel comfortable and cared for. I have a spacious flat, work from home, have a secure outdoor space for bathroom breaks and live across the road from a beautiful park. I walk Maggie around here daily for around 20-30 minutes.
On any given day we would not leave Maggie for more than a few hours, during which we leave the space ventilated and have background noise playing to soothe any separation anxiety. I am happy to learn and adapt to the needs of your dog.
My partner and I have flexible jobs and home throughout the week. A typical day looks like morning walk, breakfast, rest, play time at home, evening walk and dinner: lots of cuddles and love throughout the day. Plus any outings we have with friends or on holiday, the dogs come with us.
Because I spent so much time with them, I'm quick to notice if they seem unwell. If they were off food, less mobile etc. and I couldn't quickly identify it as something harmless, I would call you to talk through care plans and next steps, including getting to a vet.
If your pet has any specific routines, quirks or medical needs, just let me know beforehand and I’ll always be honest about whether I can meet their needs safely. I offer home stays, daycare and can even come to you!
I’d love to meet you and your dog to see if we’re a good fit!
