I have cared for litters of puppies and have hands-on experience raising and training a range of dog breeds, from dachshunds to Belgian Malinois. I believe in a balanced approach that combines structure, patience, and affection to help dogs thrive. I genuinely enjoy spending time with animals, whether that means active play, training, or simply giving them attention and comfort.

I understand dog socialisation and prefer introducing dogs to safe group environments when appropriate, as it often leads to a happier and more confident disposition. I also enjoy longer walks (40 minutes or more), especially in local parks and woodland areas where dogs have space for ball play, running, and enrichment activities.

During walks and visits, owners can expect regular updates, attention to routines, clean water, feeding if required, playtime, and a calm, attentive approach tailored to the individual pet. I adapt to different temperaments, including shy or nervous animals, and focus on building trust at their pace rather than forcing interaction. I also have experience reinforcing basic training such as recall, leash manners, boundaries, and simple commands through consistency and positive reinforcement.

For house sits, I focus on creating a calm, safe, and comfortable environment. I make sure pets maintain familiar routines to reduce stress while their owners are away. I pay close attention to behaviour changes, appetite, energy levels, and general wellbeing, and I remain calm and practical in unexpected situations or emergencies.

I also have experience caring for cats ranging from young kittens to elderly cats, including tabbies, tuxedos, and Maine Coons. Having grown up with a cat myself, I understand that cats value patience and personal space, and I adapt my approach to suit each individual animal’s temperament and comfort level.

My availability is flexible, and I am comfortable with both regular bookings and longer sessions depending on the pet’s needs. My motivation comes from a genuine love of animals of all kinds. Recently, I’ve even been trying to befriend local birds while gardening; I nearly convinced a robin to eat from my hand. Small interactions like that are part of why I enjoy animal care so much.
